The Suspect: Billy the Goat
Clever, indeed. Dangerous, indeed. On the loose.... indeed.
This is a short story about a goat. Goats; the innocent, unsuspecting animal that wouldn't be accused with anything. What, with bears and wolves in Animal Crossing, you wouldn't expect a goat to be one of the most dangerous. But he is, and was. The story below will catch your suspicions by suprise.
An average day. Nook, a wealthy banker, was going through average business; talking to Moe that his stapler was at the same place as it was yesterday, Friga about anger management, and Jeremiah about his race, he was a bullfrog, not a toad. But when Billy came around, everyone was suspicious, asking personal questions about security, when Booker was as lazy as ever, and how many Bells were there. One day, this dialog went on:
Billy: So Nook, how many Bells do I have?
Nook: Three thousand. You lose money everyday, and hardly any comes back. Where does much go? I am dearly worried about you.
Billy: Preparations and such. Hired a fellow in a cab to drive. He was also a great fisherman too, always bragging and such...
Nook: Thats great and...
As you can see, this doesn't seem so suspicious, but would be a key element to the bank. Blathers would be counting up money, so anyone who would rob it would gain much wealth. But one day.. tradgedy struck.
Nook: I'm going on break, I'll be heading home for some lunch. I'll be right back, alright?
Blathers: Ok Mr. Nook.
Billy looks around anxiously.
Billy sneaks behind the counter and bludgeons Blathers with a net.
Billy: That crazy old owl won't ruin my robbery. After all, I'm Billy the Goat!
Booker didn't catch up with Billy, as he was obese. Billy lost much bells on escape, and Copper was on his tail, as he was a former army dog. As a last resort, he hid many bells under many rocks. Too many to count. He came out with 70,000 bells, but in total what he hid was literally endless. Some say each day, if you hit a rock with a shovel, some of Billy's fortune will come out.
As to this day, Billy lives in solitude, regretting the robbery that ruined his life, as he always gets the look in the corner of someone's eye, and a loss of trust. Goats to this day are the least trusted. He was not arrested as no proof was found, and hoofs cannot be recorded to police as to human fingerprints can.
The result of this was Blathers losing his job, and gone into academic jobs of caretaking of the museum in some small town.
Nook having to open a store to support himself and finding many bells to get himself started.
Booker losing some weight, but suffering amnesia from a blow to the head.
All due to the early life of Billy the Goat.
