Mafia Call the Ships to Port: Game Thread - END GAME - TOWN VICTORY!

glow vs dad is town vs town zzzzzz

BTW everyone needs to vote.

What makes you say that ? I actually think one of them MIGHT be mafia, if I follow Dolby's Town reads list. He was fairly confident in that one of them has to be mafia.

To be honest, yes. I'm leaning towards Amanda/Gig because of what happened during the Day One voting where Gig jumped on the Antonio bandwagon.

Hopefully I got the replacement riht this time. Pretty much I am leaning Gigalabesh as a scum read.

Also something else I want to add is that Giggs stayed quielty active on the thread until after the voting results post were made.

Is it fair to judge Amanda by [/b]Gig's[/b] actions ? I don't know. But at the end of the day they have he same role ?

It's not fair to judge me as a player personally by the actions of the player I replaced, but it's absolutely fair - and standard practice - to judge the *slot* by those previous actions, yes. That can go either way, of course. (I replaced in for someone who was basically Town-locked by key players once - it was their first game and they were very obvious newbie Town.)

When I was reading along with this game, Giga stood out as a wild card in terms of activity and motive. There just wasn't enough content for me to get a feel for alignment. I saw the sus you + others had for the swoop-in-and-out vote post in this thread, and I understood the reasoning behind it and didn't disagree with the logic.. I just didn't, and don't, agree with the premise that logic rests upon. As a total unknown quantity (new player here, very very little content), assigning meaning to any one particular action seems incredibly risky to me.

Anyway : why are people thinking there is scum between Dad and I? I mean, I get the individual sus on me that started due to Giga's actions and the sus on Dad that's been around since that reads post of his raised concern. But why are we suddenly linked? And Town vs scum, at that, not scum vs scum??

I have so many questions but am not gonna put them here for now

All u have to do is vote punchy tho. :/

It doesn't matter anymore.

By un-voting, even if they put their vote back, the vote list order has changed. That is such a remote concern really that it's barely worth mentioning rn, but it will be worth considering *after* we get the lynch results, for sure.

The Lighthouse, Maresalis Island
March 18th, 2017

It was a cold evening. Jack had told Brian to bundle up warm before taking him for a midnight stroll along the beach. The two walked hand in hand, thankful to be away from the prying eyes of the islanders.

?Shouldn?t you be resting up for your trip tomorrow??

Jack laughed. ?No way. I?ll sleep when I?m dead.?

?That?s not funny.?

?Relax, it?ll be no different from my fishing trips.?

?I hate when you go fishing.?

They had lived in an English seaside town until a few weeks ago, and coming to Maresalis had presented a new challenge they hadn?t foreseen. A relationship they were once proud to shout out to the world about could have them hanged here. There was an urban legend surrounding a musician who once upon a time was killed on this island for her love of another woman.

?Come on, in here.? Jack pointed toward the old lighthouse. It was said to be haunted, as no one knew who ran it. They just knew that every night it came on, and then in the morning it went out again.

The inside was filthy, as if human life hadn?t touched it in years. Cobwebs clung to the ceiling and dust coated every surface. The staircase creaked under their weight as they ascended.

?I don?t like it in here,? Brian muttered.

?We?re almost there, stop complaining.?

?B??

At that moment the door at the top of the staircase swung open onto a narrow balcony. Thousands of stars twinkled in the night sky around them, the moon full and shining bright from behind thin cloud coverage. It was so different from the night sky back home, where light pollution from large cities hid the beauty dangling above it.

Brian stood forward, gripping the metal railing that ran the edge of the balcony. It numbed his hands on impact.

?See, I knew you?d like it.? Jack pressed his lips to the nape of Brian?s neck, and his arms coming to wrap tight around the smaller man?s waist.

?Jack??

?Yeah??

?I still don?t want you to leave tomorrow.?

He felt Jack?s sigh on his skin. ?Way to ruin the moment.?

Please stay tuned for your regularly scheduled lynch.

The injured soldier, Aaron, had been given a royal sendoff: wrapped up in white cloths, placed in a casket and pushed out to sea. People mourned their King and Aaron. They talked of how great King Khaled?s reign had been. They talked of how brave Aaron was, coming all the way out here from England to help them raise The Bellarbor.

But away from the wake on the beach, a man sat solitary in his tower. A sour taste lingered in his mouth. How dare they celebrate Aaron?s bravery when he never even stepped foot on the boat that left Port Anne that day! Why didn?t they celebrate the bravery of the men who actually left on that voyage and never returned?

Brian leant forward on the railing of lighthouse balcony, watching as the islanders danced around the bonfire. It blazed bright against the sunset, and as it went down the villagers became rowdy. And Brian felt goosebumps rise on his skin.

A huge wave crashed against the shore. The islanders screamed. Brian reached into his satchel, pulling out a compact telescope. The caskets of King Khaled and Aaron had returned to shore. The wave had overturned them and their corpses, now swollen with salt water, had been thrown out onto the sand.

What had caused such a huge wave? Brian shifted his gaze out to the water, only to find a thick fog had developed around the island without anyone even noticing. But past it he could see a large shape looming. He couldn?t quite make out what it was.

Then the bonfire blazed hotter. The flame grew larger, more vibrant, and a face appeared in the fire. She was menacing, her teeth bared like fangs, and her hair sticking up at angles, matted together into thick clumps.

?You have stolen what is mine,? the voice boomed, ?and now I will take what is yours.?

?What do you want from us, Thelxiepeia?? A girl screamed from below. Brian recognised her. Her name. What was it? It began with an L.

?Your lives in payment for hers.?

Then Thelpeixeia points toward the lighthouse. Above him, the lights begin to flicker. The whole building starts to rumble beneath his feet. And the last thing Brian saw was a bright white light heading straight for him.

PunchyDaHufflepuff was lynched. He was Brian the Lighthouse Keeper (Time Bomb/Veteran):

Your lover, an English sailor, was on board the first boat that left Port Anne that fateful March morning. But much like Caliope Black of legend, your love is forbidden, and as everyone else embraced their loved ones you stood barefoot in the sand and tried your best to hold back the tears.

If you cannot see Jack again then no one else will be able to see their loved ones either. When you die you will cut the cords to the lighthouse. The ghosts will begin to arrive en masse and the town?s chances of winning will be greatly reduced.

Luckily, your paranoia means you?ve always got one eye open. It will take two shots to knock you out before this town suffers the consequence of your death. However, if you are lynched then it will be Hell on Maresalis Island.

Do. Not. Die.

Thelxiepeia has raised her ships from the ocean floor.
It turns out The Bellarbor wasn?t the only boat she sank?
And now they are heading for Maresalis Island.

THE GHOST SHIPS HAVE BEEN CALLED TO PORT.

Mislynching will cause the ghost ships to advance,
You may mislynch only twice from this moment onwards or else it?s game over.

Good luck, have fun, and may the best faction win.

Night three will end Wednesday March 28th (NA) at 4pm PDT/7pm EDT and Thursday March 29th (EU/AUS) at 12am BST/10am AEDT.
