Christmas Countdown

Here is my attempt, Buck is kickstarting his Christmas countdown! 🐴 Oops, just realized there is 2, 24 doors. Since that's Toy Day Buck and Jingle don't have to share! 🎄

Here’s my calendar! Every three days you can remove a curtain to reveal a cozy room.

I made most of the building and furniture out of pieces of craft sticks, toothpicks, coffee stirs, scrap fabric, and cardboard. The plants and Christmas tree were made with painted paper. Most of the pots are container caps and beads, but a few are made of clay.

I kept mine simple, and here it is: a rare 5-day Christmas Advent Calendar!
It's in Google drawings because I did not have any other options, so hope this is ok!
I have added an owl that is pointing to the pretend snow that is melting.

Hi! While we don't mind which program people make their art in (as long as some effort is made), we cannot see this entry because it is saved in your personal Google drive which means we do not have access to it. You will have to convert it to a regular image and upload it either to an image hosting site or directly to the forums.

Also, please always make sure your entry is final before posting it in an event thread, and don't edit your post nor your entry afterwards. This is a general rule that applies to most, if not all TBT events, especially ones that reward the top entries. Thank you!

You are still welcome to make a new submission in a new post.

After a short download, here's my very sloppy advent calendar! View attachment 472069

I'm very sorry, but me and other staff members do not think this meets the amount of effort we are looking for. We understand that not everyone regularly creates art, so we do not set a high bar for entries. However, we still do not want to encourage rushed, sloppy, or otherwise low-effort submissions, as stated in the rules in the opening post.

If this tool leaves you limited to straight lines with no colours, please do try something else instead (even pencils and paper might work), because accepting your entry as it is right now feels unfair to the people who put more time and/or thought into their calendars.

Yeah, I figured this one would not get accepted. After I saw this post, I began working on another one, this time with Sketchpad at my disposal, and... It turned out worse.

And, I'm VERY BAD at art. For me, human = stick figure.

I just had to design a kitty calendar (if you know me then no explanation needed 🐈💞) Artistic skills limited but spent a looooooong time on this 😂

Hope everyone finds peace and love this holiday season 🎄 ❤️

Lordy this took forever. My hand is killing me! So I wanted to do an animal crossing and TV team themed advent calendar. When I was thinking about my “doors” the only thing in my head that I can see was candy land and so my doors are actually spaces leading to the TBT north pole and every space is either a TBT candy collectible, a TBT, candy, cane, collectible, a TBT unopened present, and last, but not least the highly coveted snowflake collectible. It wouldn’t be animal crossing for me unless my sweet baby was in it so he had to come and ice skate.

🎄 Aquilla's snowy village calendar 🕯️
LJMNEoW.jpg

My advent calendar depicts all of my villager's houses! Some villagers are out and about playing in the snow. My island rep is on her way to visit Kid Cat. Lift up the roof for a surprise!

Materials used: Everything is folded out of origami paper and painted with acrylics and markers. Inside the houses are electric candles. Cotton fluff and a white pillow cases for the snow!

Every house is as close to the in-game model as I could manage. I might still make resident services and my rep's house but this already took two days to make ;u;

Unfortunately that won't do either, as every aspect of your submission will have to be made by yourself: using a pre-made owl, for example, is not allowed. In addition, your entry would need your username.

You are still more than welcome to make a new submission that does follow all the event rules from the opening post, although we do recommend putting in a little more effort (so not submitting something you yourself would describe as 'sloppy' or 'worse'). Again, we're not necessarily asking for an artistic masterpiece! We'd just like to see people take their time to try making something coherent.

Ok, I FINALLY think I have a reasonably good advent calendar, this time in the shape of a Christmas tree!

This one took me awhile to do, but Kleki was very fun to use, so I didn't mind! I used as many colors as I could, and I even made it look like the tree was planted in the snow!

Yeah, that'll do! Thank you, congratulations, and I'm glad you had fun! 😄🎄

Thanks for the currency! And yeah, I had fun! My first TBT event is a fun one, and I feel like I joined at the right time!
I just wanted to hop in here and say we appreciate your good attitude. @Mick has been keeping me in the loop—I'm sick and he's kindly taken over handling the threads I was meant to run in the meantime—and as a new user I was worried you would take the request to resubmit personally. Thank you for being a good sport and reacting so well to feedback.

Aw, thanks, Chris. I'll admit that I was nervous at first. But after the warm welcome that I was given, I quickly felt at home. And I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. Feel better soon!
