Blathers and Celeste have come out with their own Advent Calendar, now available in the Museum Gift Shop! Apparently, there's fun facts behind each door, in addition to some festive prizes.

I tried giving my advent calendar a touch & feel look to it, with fluffy snow and soft textures. Just imagine the excitement on a child's face as they get to feel how nice a snowman-- or in this case, a snowtoro! --must be! They'll want to go out in the snow and build one of their own, maybe make a new friend along the way! The Snow Bunny feels as soft as cotton~ but he's eager to skip ahead to the 25th and open the door! Hey, that's not fair! An advent calendar can be a fun way to teach your kids patience!

My entry

This was fun. I decided to do a physical one, so now I have a count down thing till the 25th. The doors remove revealing a picture of animal crossing characters I like. The back of the doors has the characters quote that you find on the back of the framed photos in acnh.

Made with: cardboard, ribbon, pipe cleaner, tape, paper, pencil, marker, hot glue, gumdrop beads, tissue paper.

Each day depicts a gyroid in a different Christmas or winter scenario. I like to think that there would be a mini gyroid figure behind each door~

I had fun making this. It's full of in-game references to anything related to winter, holidays, and December. See if you can tell what each one is.

here’s my entry! i had no idea how this would turn out since my art skills are quite rusty and i’ve never designed an advent calendar before, but i’m pretty pleased with it!

the background design was inspired by the new wintertime whiteout backdrop, but with addons and some changes (which i hope is okay ), and each door has the face of a villager (or npc) whose birthday correlates with that day (ex. hans’ birthday is dec 5th).

I'm not able to accept this entry because it appears to have either directly used or traced elements of both Animal Crossing renders and my own artwork (Wintertime Whiteout backdrop). You are welcome to re-enter the event with a different submission.
