Dark mode vs Light mode

Title says it all, do you prefer to use dark mode or light mode? Or do you prefer to use a different/custom theme on some sites?

I personally switch between the two, depending on the site. For instance, on deviantart I much prefer the light mode, as it just makes the text and pictures stand out a lot more for me. Whereas on toyhouse, since there can be a lot of white/blank space, I prefer to use the dark mode theme. I personally don't really like to use custom themes, as they can be a bit too much at times, and I would honestly rather just have a simple and clean color palette instead.

i prefer light mode, but i have my macbook set to auto so it automatically switches from light mode to dark mode for all programmes after a certain time. i'm a night owl and tend to work late into the night so it doesn't mess with my sleep as much if my laptop is on dark mode at night

I really only use dark mode if I’m playing at night cause ~ow my eyes~ otherwise I like to switch to day mode because I just like how it’s looks

I usually prefer dark mode, I use it in YouTube, Discord, etc. But sometimes I don't bother to change the theme from light to dark, I think I left the settings in Windows 10 in light mode. And I'm sure that they're other things that I keep in light mode. But most of the time, everything's in dark mode.

On my phone, I use light mode! It doesn’t hurt my eyes as much and it’s easier to see.
On my computer, I use dark mode. I usually use my computer at night or when I’m trying to work and focus on a project. I switch between them a lot on my computer, I’m very indecisive and I need to switch if I get a really bad headache and my eyes need a break.

usually dark mode, unless it's pure black vs white in which case I would prefer white.
I guess it just varies case by case. I can usually switch between both ok.

I used to be obsessed with dark mode and had it on all my IDEs and Social Media apps but as I got older I began to enjoy light mode more. Now everything I use is on light mode and my siblings call me crazy

Light mode! I'm the opposite.... I feel like dark mode strains my eyes way more than light mode does, plus I adjust the brightness on my computer depending on the lighting in my environment. On my phone I have the blue light filter on, which makes using it so much more manageable.

Usually I have any settings set to automatic where applicable! But lately I’ve been just manually switching everything to dark mode, def easier on the eyes!

I use light mode for some things and dark mode for others. Just depends on what looks better to me.
