Do you do advent calendars 2024?

Day 2 for hot chocolate was dark chocolate. Kind of bitter, but not bad.
I have a tea advent calendar. Again, lol.
I like the tea calendar, but usually there are a couple of teas that are only available in the advent calendar. ☹ Other than that, it's great.
That sounds pretty cool! Having some seasonal flavors sounds like it would be fun to try.
No but it looks fun, I saw one with skin products and it interested me very much.
The one with cheese too, but it's always sold out.
Yeah I was the same way. I used to not bother, even when I was younger my family never did anything like that. But I figured why not. It's a little something fun to look forward to every night.

Year 2, Day 1 marshmallow advent calendar:

Pumpkin spice.

Not a bad start! Enjoyed it and looking forward to the other 24 flavors!
Yeah the Halloween one had pumpkin spice as a main flavor. So it wasn't that different. Still a nice flavor compared to the black licorice.

Not doing one for myself but doing them for my pets :) My cat is really impatient and he had to stomp onto the 25th door with all his weight 🤣
Oh what kind of advent do you have for your cat?

No I don't do Advent Calendars though I've always wanted to do one I just never remember to get them in time and I feel like they are pretty expensive or at least too expensive for my taste.

"my" advent calendars are actually from costco and they're for my two dogs lol. it's funny because they were smart enough to recognize what it was when I took them out of the pantry yesterday (since this is their 3rd year getting them). yesterday was a frosted candy cane cookie and today was a gingerbread cookie. they're supposed to get 8 toys and the rest are just treats... while I don't get anything out of it it's still just great to see their joy!

Aurora recognized her advent calendar too. She can get to it easily but leaves it alone until it is time for her treat of the day. Hers for today was a peanut butter milk bone.
All of Aurora’s is treats since she always destroys toys.

I don't. I'm not sure if I will in the future. I did have a couple paper ones as a kid that only had pictures behind doors, but the novelty wears off fast when your made to use the same one each year. They had good art though, or at least I enjoyed the art.
I do read a december devotional thingy. I need to look into a new one since it is over 10 years old. But it is kinda like an advent calendar.

My pets have an advent calendar with treats in them! I don't think there are toys in them, but who knows!

I'm a bit sad however that the one for my dog has the illustration AI generated, I didn't choose the calendars myself but if a company can't afford an illustrator I don't think they deserve to sell a product x(

Yeah my mum always insists on buying me an advent calendar even though i'm a grown adult with a job 😂 I usually end up getting a lindt one since their chocolate is always good quality

I don't and I don't think I've ever had one. Or maybe I did when I was a kid, can't remember now, but it definitely wasn't a tradition.

I wouldn't mind if someone got me one, but I'd never buy one for myself. I dislike most "random item" things as they usually put things that don't sell in them, or aren't worth the price.

i don't personally get the appeal of more expensive and/or gimmicky advent calendars, especially because of the random element. unless you know you're going to like almost everything in the windows, it just doesn't seem worth the money to me, especially the higher the price. growing up, i always just got the basic advent calendars with a piece of chocolate behind each door. my parents actually bought me one this year, too, that i've been opening. it's white chocolate, which is my favorite!

I love Advent Calendars! I pick ones I know I'm going to like the majority of what's in it, don't really like to waste stuff (it's pretty common for them to be loaded with junk, unfortunately).

This year, I have one with Pokemon figures and a European cheese one I got from the grocery store. My dog Noodle also gets one every year; it's just a small treat but she loves it. :)

So far, my Pokemon one has been Bulbasaur (with Christmas lights wrapped around his bulb), Quaxly, and a little swing for them to sit in. If I remember, I'll post a photo of the finished set-up. :D

Day 3 was chocolate orange hot chocolate. It was pretty good and I could taste the orange in it. I'll probably have day 4 later today after work.
Year 2, Day 3 marshmallow advent calendar:

Watermelon.

Probably the best one so far!
I was expecting this one to be overly artificial, but the flavor was subtle and nice. The Halloween had a few that tasted like they went overboard lol. I liked that the chocolate chip one had tiny morsels in it. That was nice!

Oh that sounds really fun! I'd love to see them when its done!

I've bought a calendar today as it was half price! 😄 It's just chocolate with a bag of sweets as the last door, but I am looking forward to the little treat each day. It was a nice bonus that I got to catch up with 4 chocolates after purchasing.

Year 2, Day 4 marshmallow advent calendar:

Cotton Candy.

This may beat out yesterday's watermelon for 1st place so far. Followed then by Pumpkin Spice and finally Mint Chocolate Chip (only because I didn't taste much mint).

I don't usually buy them for myself as they tend to be either filled with cheap chocolate or items that aren't worth the price, but my mom will occasionally send me one. I have one this year she sent me that's full of knock off Pokemon figures, it's pretty fun to open them and see how wonky they are.

Day 4 and 5 for hot chocolate was chocolate biscuit and candy cane. Both were good, but I could definitely taste the peppermint in today's blend.

Year 2, Day 5 marshmallow advent calendar:

Black Sesame.

I was expecting this to be the worst one so far. But it tasted just like marshmallow. So I suppose it's still the worst one.
