I’m actually really into sports. I don’t know if many people on the forum are into sports, but I thought I’d ask. What are your favorite sports to follow? My favorite by far is hockey, but I’m also into college football and baseball. I don’t really keep up with professional football, but I know a few things about it.

My favorite hockey team is the Los Angeles Kings, although it’s been a rough couple of years. I’m a huge fan of hockey in general though, and I kind of have a soft spot for the Nashville Predators as well (not exactly sure why, I just like them). I’ve been really into the playoffs!

What are your favorite sports teams, if you follow sports? Feel free to comment if you don’t like sports. All opinions are welcome. Just remain respectful, as always. :)

I follow the NFL. My favorite team is the Minnesota Vikings. My husband likes the Atlanta Falcons. He's also into a few other sports that I don't mind watching with him occasionally, but I just can't get into them like I can football.

Not a super passionate fan of sports, I'd probably watch hockey or tennis if it were on the TV and I had nothing else to do. Although I do enjoy watching ice skating/rollerskating/slalom

I'm also a Vikings fan! Please win a Super Bowl sometime in my life. I also follow the other Minnesota sports teams because I grew up and live here. Whenever people talk about a "championship parade", I have no idea what that means

I follow baseball, basketball, hockey, and football. That’s the order of them as my favorites. However, where I live the only team that has won a championship in my lifetime has been the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. I’ve been to many games watching them play and I think they’ve eclipsed the other sports teams as my favorite. Can’t wait to watch them be in the playoffs again tomorrow! :D

EDIT: Should also mention I’m interested in watching golf, tennis, and other sports as well, but I don’t actively follow them.

I like football, but I don't really watch too much of it unless they are bigger games like the Super Bowl. My favorite teams would be the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, and Seattle Seahawks!

Basketball. I follow the NBA. Me and my girlfriend are LA Lakers fan since KB was playing.

In high school I loved hockey until the lockout. I loved the checking before the lockout; after it was less exciting to me. My favorite teams were the Avalanche and the Red Wings.

A few years ago I got into soccer. I liked Bayern Munich, but after being called a bandwagon fan on instagram and rude comments on twitter, I continued following players but stopped commenting on most. Also, it was hard and stressful finding channels the games were on. But the players I liked have left the team mostly so Idk if I could get back into it.Also had issues with ea support for the fifa game and seeing them in a lot of the soccer tweets ticked me off so much.

I loosely follow a bunch of martial arts promotions. I honestly don't care for UFC these days...so, I tend to be more into the stuff like Glory and ONE. Kickboxing, Muai Thai, Karate tournaments, etc. Boxing is another one that I enjoy when it's done right (but the modern stuff isn't, IMO). I also started getting really into Sumo over the past year or so. I try to follow that now...but, it's hard (since the events take place in Japanese times). I can't really watch live events at 4am. Hahaha.

Sumo is a big one for me, though. I really enjoy everything about it.

I like sports but I don't follow it like I used to.I like the NHL,NFL,Formula 1,Australian Rules Football and boxing.

i check up on ice skating occasionally, but other than that sports have never really caught my interest. my dad used to drag me to baseball games when i was younger to try and see if they'd catch my eye and i always thought it was more fun wandering the stadium and buying ice cream than actually paying attention to the game 😅

mostly the NHL. i'm a sens sicko and a huge mighty ducks fan, but i follow the blue jays and raptors when they make the playoffs

Nope not at all. When I was 17 until about 20/21 I used to watch NASCAR with my Dad pretty heavily. Not sure if you count motor sports along with other sports though. Since then I’ve gotten much busier and most of the drivers I used to know (including my favourite) have retired so other than peeking in on parts of the odd race here and there when my Dad has it on I don’t watch it anymore. I definitely don’t follow or keep up with the news or standings anymore.

Yes. Grew up on playing/watching sports. ESPN/sports game are the only channels on when working from home.

MLB: Yankees
NBA: Lakers/Lebron
NFL: Bills
Tennis: Djokovic
Olympics: Phelps/Bolt
College Basketball: Syracuse
College Football: Alabama
Golf: Tiger
UFC: McGregor

I'll also watch the NHL and soccer when important games are on.

Been to 3 Yankees games, a Bills game, 2 Mets games, a Syracuse Mets game, several ECHL games, several LLWS games, and I'm sure a bunch more too.

Mostly soccer (My home team & national team) and internationally also Man city.
And I've followed the NFL (green bay!) for a while when I was living in the US for a while for work.

Not sure if that counts, but I used to follow eSports Teams in League of Legends, especially Fnatic. I've even seen them play life (and get destroid, lol).. but yeah, now that I stopped playing LoL I also stopped caring about the Teams. I wish I was more interested in any kind of sports, because it's fun to support your favorite team / sport.. but oh well 😅

Years ago, I used to watch a lot of baseball (MLB). Nowadays, I lost interest in it and haven't watched it since. I also watch a little bit of basketball (NBA), but I follow it more closely when playoff season starts. I'm rooting for LeBron James and the LA Lakers by the way.

Last, but certainly not least, Formula 1. Now, there's a huge debate about whether driving a race car should be considered a sport. According to the definition of the word sport, it says, "an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.". So yes, Formula 1 along with many other motorsport leagues is considered a sport. Turning a steering wheel, especially at high speeds, takes a lot of effort to be able to make a turn. And some races have many laps to complete so endurance of strength and focus are pretty important. Oh, and you got to have good car control, awareness, racecraft, and consistency if you want to come out on top against your opponents.

Sadly, motorsports is a very expensive thing to get into and you literally have to spend thousands or even millions of dollars to be able to compete. Unless your parents are millionaires/billionaires, have sponsorships, or give up some of your things for money just to get through, it's hard to enter the world of motorsports.
