Face is an absolute no and hands are an "okay if you must" but only if I have access to a sink or hand sanitizer. I'm more OK with cats licking me over dogs licking me. I think the amount(?) of wetness is a big factor in how comfortable I am with licking.
I wouldn't go as far as to say disgusting, but I personally don't let animals lick my face, I just personally don't want the second hand food, germs and whatever else they've been licking on me. I have a drooly cat though, so if it happens I just wash it off, he's cute. It doesn't help I'm allergic though LMAO.
no but that's bc i absolutely despise the feeling of being wet. its not like washing ur hands in which theres a benefit. it just feels unpleasant. that's all.
my pug is dignified so he only sniffs, absolutely no licking.
I mean I wouldn't mind. It's not like I'd be trying to get them to do that, but if it happens I'm not going to freak out.
I know a lot of people who are way filthier than animals. For example most people will wear their shoes in their house. You do realize those shoes are carrying all kinds of nastiness on them. You walk into a public bathroom? Boom you just stepped in urine and now you're walking all over your carpet with your urine dried shoes.
I don't mind getting kisses from good boys and girls, just as long as it's not my face. Or the inside of the mouth. No french kisses, not even from Frenchies lol
Cat kisses are nicer since their tongues are built different. Literally!
I don't own any pets that would lick, never have, and am usually not around other people's pets all that often such that it's a situation that arises. Since I don't see myself getting a dog anytime soon, and the only pets I'd be around are other people's and I don't see us building a strong enough connection that they'd show such affection, I think the most that I'd allow would be licking on my hand.
If I hypothetically did have a pet and they really wanted to then I can see myself feeling a bit guilty for not allowing them to since they're just trying to show affection in the way they know how, so maybe, but honestly the concept kind of grosses me out personally and I imagine that I'd feel compelled to go wash my face soon thereafter. As such, I might just discourage it outright.
