For Melba's house, I've made an effort to completely re-decorate her room because I didn't like the original set-up. It was a bit sad for me that they changed her house's interior decorating in New Leaf because I loved how it was in AC:WW and AC:CF (like a cozy candy cottage).
For most of my neighbors, though, I try not to alter their rooms too much, so that means I don't always complete errands for them. If I do give them furniture, I try to make sure it will look fitting in their house. I do this because I often give away moving neighbors, so I try to be considerate in keeping their houses looking nice.
