Do you think we'll get an Animal Crossing themed Nintendo Switch?

I am really hoping for one, in fact I have already saved a few hundred pounds just in case one is announced.

I really hope we get an Animal Crossing (or general nintendo direct) which shows off a new switch model

What do you guys think are the chances?

I soooo want one too! But if we are getting one at all... I don't think it's going to be a regular Switch, but instead a Switch Lite. I don't know why but it feels like there is a lot more people playing Animal Crossing on the go, so creating an Animal Crossing Switch Lite would sell pretty well I think.
Would be cool if it looked like the New 2DS one, or the 3DS XL poptard one

Tbh I have had this same thought! which is why I held off buying a Switch Lite just in case an AC version is released. I hope they make both versions though~

My fianc? and i have very strong feelings there will be a Switch Lite with an AC theme, probably going to be announced within the next few months before release. They made a Pokemon one for SWSH, they'd be crazy not to make one for AC, knowing very well that the mere idea of it could make them so much money lmao

I've decided to get a regular black one. IF the joy con issue is permanently fixed, and games can save to the SD card, and autosave is gone.

I think that its a possibility that they will have an animal crossing themed switch, but since I already have a switch, I am hoping that they will have an animal crossing themed pro controller since I don't have a pro controller yet and would like to get one, but am waiting to see if Nintendo is going to release items that is animal crossing theme as it gets closer to the release of New Horizons.

Pretty sure they gonna drop a Animal Crossing themed Switch Lite at some point, as they also released one with a Pokemon Sword and Shield theme before said games came out. Not sure however about a regular Switch however.

You could do that yourself without paying the inflated price.

If this doesn't happen I will be thoroughly disappointed, as I want to have two islands and a New Horizons-themed Switch is such a no-brainer for obtaining the second one. I will probably not have two islands right away if there isn't a special edition Switch available at launch.

I feel like it'll be a switch lite, which would be slightly disappointing imo. Joycons might be a possibility too since the multiplayer is drop in / out with a single joycon I believe - they'd probably use the poptart design for this but could surprise us with some character specific joycons (Nook as one and timmy + tommy as the other, perhaps)

Sure, I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't release one. Animal Crossing is a pretty popular franchise, the Nintendo Switch is selling well, and there already was an Animal Crossing themed 3DS, so I'd say the possibilities are pretty high.

I think Nintendo is not going to slip the oppertunity to milk the cash cow - so yeah I think after they build up enough hype around the game they will release a animal crossing switch along the game. Nothing for me. I am okay with the normal one and I don't need the extra stuff on any console ^^

All of the special editions released have been different colored joycons (Splatoon, Mario Red, Pokemon Lets Go, the Disney one in Japan), a design etched onto the system and or joycons (Pokemon lets go, Smash, Pokemon SWSH), or totally unique buttons (Pokemon SWSH).

None of them have featured a sticker or decal, which would come off with handling and make your system sticky.

There were actually 3 Animal Crossing DS designs! One released with NL (Poptart), one released with HHD (Poptart), and a random one in mint green.

I'd love that mint green again! I'm holding off to see what they do. I'm not a fan of the gray or red/blue. I'm not planning on buying a second set of joy cons day one, but I do really like the dark blue/neon yellow set.
