Do your parents spy on you?

My parents know my passwords and stuff - I don't really have anything to hide and they know that lol

I am an adult and I have never spied on any of my children. Diary, phones etc are private and everyone is entitled to a private life.

But I don't know what I would do if I suspected they were getting into something dangerous online. They I suppose spying can be justified.

like the "my house my rules" thing is such bull****. everyone deserves a private life. being spied on can cause really bad anxiety that would affect the child later in life

build TRUST with your child, and theyll likely go to you with their problems themselves, no spying necessary. the fact the parents feel the need to spy at all is only proof of their own bad parenting.

No. If she ever did, I'd just move out, but she thinks spying on your kids is weird as hell. The most she does is text me picture of my cat saying he's waiting for me when I stay out.

I'm an adult with my own place now, so no. They used to when I was younger. Not a lot, but if they were in my room putting my things away or whatever and noticed something they would take a look. But I don't think it was very often. Or maybe I just didn't have much to see.

couldn't have said it better myself. also if a parent suspect their child is doing bad thing online, don't go bat**** and confront them like they are the worst beings ever.

My mother never spied on me, not even once and now I tell her literally everything.

When I was younger, they would pick up the phone and listen when someone calls my home phone for me. It was annoying so I told them to stop but they still did it. Now I live on my own so I don't have them breathing over me and invading my privacy too much. They never really went through my things... but it irks me so much that I can't have a private conversation on my home phone. -_-
