Why didn't you say no to him wanting to leaveGroucho broke my heart when he moved off the island (I miss your terrible singing, bb) but Octavian is helping me pick up the pieces. He looks like an angry red pimple walking around my town and that is part of his charm!
Because if a villager wants to leave, I let them. It’s part of how I play the game. Why didn't you say no to him wanting to leave
I have no octopi, and have been to over 50 islands without seeing a single octopus. It varies per person.
I did that too once, cause I totally agree. I know what you mean. They wanna leave, so don't force them to stay. But it is sooo sad, either wayBecause if a villager wants to leave, I let them. It’s part of how I play the game.

Dont apalogise, I would read the hell out of that novel! I agree. Lobo was on my island for like, 3 to 4 days and then he asked to leave. I know villagers leave randomly, but I felt like I treated him badly (or something). It was about a month ago or more, but I remember him sitting by the river alone a couple of times and when he asked to leave with his sad wolf eyes, it hit. He said:It can feel sad, I agree. But I think that’s part of the AC experience for me, that twinge of sadness. And even though they are “only” fictional characters, to me it is very important to not force them to do what they don’t want to do. Groucho said something to the effect of “I learned a lot while I lived here and I’m so grateful but it’s time to go” and like, how could I argue that? It was bittersweet but I respected it.
Anyway, sorry for the novel, lol.

I come on kinda strong, and I reckon there's a few 'round here that won't miss me none once I've moved one. It hit so hard, damnn. Well, Lobo, I miss ya, old pal.
And here is chapter 2
I now realise how perfect the word bittersweet is, that's such an intruiging word. It can be sad and it can be fun(ny). But for real, imagine as a kid you're climbing a tree or something and suddenly a huge table falls out of it and afterwards you're mother asks: how could you have missed?I’M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!
I think that is so sad and beautiful, tbh. I love AC for its fundamental bittersweetness and the depth of experiences it makes possible in between all the dad jokes and surreal stuff like wrestling mats falling from trees.
