My favorite peppy is Ruby, but since you'e not looking for bunnies or cats, what about ketchup? She's very cute! Not unpopular, but she's a cool character.

I’m not really sure I like Peppy villagers but theses are kind of nice:
Pippy, Felicity, Bonbon, and Dotty.

Does Peggy count as unusual? I feel like she’s not as popular as ones like Rosie, Chrissy, Tangy, etc. She was one of my first villagers in New Leaf though so she’s got a special place in my heart.
I currently have Gabi and I don’t understand why she’s not more popular?? I think she’s adorable! With her little pink freckles and her colouring she’s perfect for autumn if you’re interested in having villagers to match seasons!

Bangle is truly a delight! She’s so fun, and I love her warm color palette and smiling eyes!
two other favorites are Merry and Tabby (with Tabby being my ultimate favorite villager). though they are both cats, they are not, I think, the most popular cats, and I find them

Imo Pinky has one of the best houses, and she is pretty cute as well, though to me she looks like a normal for some reason.

I really like Patty the cow!
She’s one of the few natural looking peppy villagers and she wears the orange dress by default. Imo, it makes her look like a literal beef patty or some sort of steak, which I find kinda funny given her character.
Bonus: I find her house exterior extremely pretty, it has lovely shades of brown that would fit many island themes!
