Glad to see turkey taking a small victory here, this is a highly debated topic in my family come any holiday or large gathering and I am very much team turkey!!

Ham is okay but 1) doesn't feel like "special occasion" food to me the way that turkey does and 2) turkey means stuffing which is my ultimate favourite!
stuffing is a great point... bring that into the equation and I might change my answer cause stuffin is 2 die 4

Turkey is ok (just don't cook it forever). I tend to stay away from alot of pork, so I am not too keen on having a slab of ham on my plate.

Can we have cornbeef for thanksgiving instead? :D It's been forever since I had some.... lol.

ham all the way. especially ham with sweet honey/maple glaze. turkey tends to be one of the dryest poultry options out there so i never like eating it.

for thanksgiving, my family does a rotisserie chicken instead of turkey and it works perfectly with stuffing! (if we're really feeling like we want the extra food coma, we'll do fried chicken like KFC instead of rotisserie)

christmas ham has always been a highlight for winter. usually one ham is too much for the family though, but we try to incorporate it into different dishes (like cabbage and ham casserole).

Ham 100%. I honestly think turkey is disgusting.

Ham if it's a sandwich, turkey if it's a full dinner.Ham is a bit too salty in larger dinner-sized portions so I prefer turkey overall because it's more of a blank canvas which I can season to my tastes.

I loveee turkey! Especially sliced turkey breast on sandwich's with some cheddar cheese and some form of mayo (been loving siracha mayo recently)

my fam actually never did the whole ham thing, we've always went for turkey and roast beef, as i dont think anyone in my fam or my relatives would particularly choose or prefer ham over the other meats. my mom did buy a honey glazed ham for one of our thanksgivings just to try it out and see if anyone liked it and as expected, it was hardly touched lol, which she alr predicted anyway. i prefer turkey if i have to pick between the two, as i actually enjoy it esp with mash and gravy

Ham. I just enjoy it better than turkey, which I find overrated tbh.

i love both, but i think i prefer turkey — i eat it more often than i do ham, and i like that it’s less chewy and has a lighter taste. i love it as a meal’s main course (especially on thanksgiving and christmas), on a sandwich/sub, in a crescent roll, in soup, etc.
