Have you ever kept merch of something that you're not a fan of anymore?

i still have the preorder box sets & the merch that came with them for danganronpa + sdr2 that i got in 2014, but i havent been interested in the series in 4-5 years and have by this point come to actively dislike it 😅

Guilty. I worked at the theatre, and acquired many of posters there, from all genres, and even though some a dont like, I still have them

I also still have the hundreds of Webkinz I had as a child, Me, and my sister agreed that we could never let them go. Though im not a big fan anymore. The new Webkinz is cursed, and I haven't played it in years.

I own a CTR Crash Bobblehead (Which was a pre-order bonus) by pre-ordering CTRNF. I'm not even the biggest fan of Crash Bandicoot, though I only got the game because of my love with kart racing games.

(Is that game still active? I thought after the huge update in March it died along with the community.)

I did way back with some console/handheld/game stuff bit eventually sold off most of it or gave away for the better part.

And yeah I do have an Umbreon plushie for the sake of it being my fave but I don't really play much and idk why I kept it 😂

A Harry Potter hoodie. Haven't read or watched anything about HP in 8 years but the hoodie still fit until recently. I'm not a merch person myself, mostly because I fear spending a lot on something I'm gonna hate in a few years.
Also I don't know if it counts but two years ago in my birthday I was gifted a Sailor Moon figurine. I've never watched or read Sailor Moon or claimed to do so but the person who gave it to me said I look like a Sailor Moon fan. Don't know what to think of that lmao. The figurine is very pretty so I keep it. No one can say I'm a poser if I wasn't the one who bought it

yeah, like i have a black aot hoodie i had gotten from the mall once and still wear sometimes even though my interest in the show/manga is pretty much zero at this point.

Yes, my life is a cycle of getting obsessed with something for 2ish years, getting a bunch of merch and then eventually losing interest - a kind of recent example would be Hamilton (the musical). I bought a physical copy of the album, ordered a t-shirt from Broadway, and my mom bought me this giant collector's book about the musical as a gift. I still have all these things even though I'm not really into it anymore, mostly because they cost money and I'd feel bad getting rid of them lol

Yeah. I’ll just talk about one for now. I liked only a few of the Fate series - Fate/Zero and Unlimited Blade Works and Fate Extella was a terrible game (in my opinion), but I kept it. I had a feeling I wouldn’t like it (but expected the story and dialogue to be a bit better than it was), but yeah 😬. I liked the goodies that came with the version I got and still do inspite not being impressed with the characters personalities aside from the ones from Fate Stay Night & Fate/Zero.

i have a justin beiber hoodie from when i was around 12 but its too comfy for me to get rid of hehe

hamilton is amazing, we stan hamilton, im not even from the us but oh well

I have barbie movies still xD And l'm not a big fan of every barbie related stuff. I like the dolls but that's it. Actually l think l will get rid of the movies because l've been cleaning out stuff.

I have this t-shirt from this one worship band. I was never really a fan of them anyway, I just thought the design was cool.
I also have kept these old activity books from YouTubers like Stampy and AmyLee33. I don't watch them anymore but it's nice to look back at and also make for good objects to write on.
Aaand quite a bit of Harry Potter stuff even though I have no interest in it anymore.

I’ve got a K-on! and Nisekoi anime statue I’ve been putting off selling since I just don’t have that same attachment anymore. Probably can handout some books I’ll never read again to a LFL or something too.

I have a Supernatural clock that was made from a record. I feel weird donating it, even though I'll probably never put it up again. It was a gift though, given to me way back when I was a fan of it. It'd be easier to rid myself of it if it was something I never liked, but I suppose it's just me being sentimental.

I may not actively follow something anymore, but if I liked it at one time I never really stop liking it. I just move on to new things. So I still like all of the merchandise I have even if I'm not currently watching, reading, listening to, or following the whatever it's from.

I have a young McGucket plush from Gravity Falls that I got custom made, I keep it as fans are rare so I'm not sure I can part with it anyway 🤣

I don't really buy merch, but if I do and I am not a fan of whatever the merch is of anymore then no I don't keep it.

I do. The memories are positive and if I am not into something any more, it is usually because the franchise some how changed. But the older part of whatever franchise still exists. So I just think of it as, well I really like this part/time period of this franchise or the concept of whatever.

I still have star wars toys. I honestly wish my dad sold those if he had to sell any of my stiff without asking me and not my power ranger stuff. 😔

It really depends on what it is. For example, I was a huge League of Legends Nerd and bought tons of things from it.
I sold most of it for more than I paid, because LoL fans pay anything, if it's not available anymore, apparently.
However, I still have a T-Shirt and a figure of it, because I really like how it looks and just because I don't like LoL anymore,
doesn't mean I don't have to dislike the look of it!
