How do you feel about the look of new horizons?

I really like it, kinda don't understand why people dislike it. Especially because of how detailed it is, the
weather changes and all that, much better then in New Leaf. Besides, this is not the finished product,
after all, they delayed it for a reason, to make it as good as possible. So pretty sure the game will look
a little bit different when it comes out.

I think it's gorgeous! I like the colors toned down because its more realistic and relaxing

i think it's a matter of personal preference. like other people have said, i was initially disappointed, but it's growing on me! still kinda sad that there's no rotating camera though.

NH on left, NL on right.

It looks so much better.

After looking at it more I like it a little more, though the hair highlight is bothering me A LOT. It is way too bright, and stands out way too much. Pls fix.

I absolutely adore the looks of the new animal crossing. It's way more atmospheric with the weather affects and more vibrant in its pastel colour. The only thing I think is bad is the new name but that's just personal preference.

wow at first when i saw the trailer, i felt a bit sad that i had waited this long for something i wasn?t excited for.
But now, i feel pretty hyped about it, i legitimately just registered on here so i can chat more about it! i cant wait

Agreed. I don't like that they used "New _____" twice in a row. I wish they came up with something a little different, but oh well.

I thought it looked way too simple and disappointing at first. Now I really like the style! My only issue with it is that it looks so washed out, and I kinda wish it was more textured (like the hair has shine but no texture). I'm sure they'll fix it before release though!

I was hesitant at first but I really like it. It looks a little bright and washed out but I'm sure they'll perfect it from now till March 2020.

I actually hate it ..... but.... I think the early e3 trailer of new leaf had similar lighting issues. I actually really liked how the game looked with the 'film' filter in camera mode, and would love if that was an option we could always have on.

Basically, I don't like it, but I think it will be fine tuned by release. I mainly don't like the outdoor enviroment (indoors is totally fine) but I love the changes to animal character models. Animals now look at you using their eyes, not just turning their head.... its cool! However I want more information on clothing models. I'm concerned that the clothing all being modeled will mean less clothes and no custom designs.... I need more info for sure! I want to know if animals will change clothes or always wear the same item

i love everything about it except the crafting. the graphics are really good, including the animals. i just have so many questions. are the tools breakable, and you have to craft them over and over? how many animals can live at your island? clothes? accessories? more furniture? bridges? so many things are unanswered and the treehouse demo didn't show a lot

I'm preeeetty excited and optimistic. Where it's at for style doesn't bother me terribly, but being pushed back should mean plenty of time for refining textures and lighting and stuff anyway.

Plus, YOU CAN PUT STUFF OUTSIDE. The only thing that could add to that is if I can straight up walk into a Villager's house and rearrange XD

I didn't like it enough to buy a Switch. I think they can do alot better.

I liked that skin color has been added, and really liked having a campfire on the beach.

The character faces weren't a big improvement but we haven't seen the options.

I see building furniture is there and that's PC related. I like the idea, I just hope it's not linked.

I also hope any train station upgrades don't require 100 visits as I don't have time for that and don't play online.

I liked the path making as well. I have a feeling that maybe the animals that move in won't be able to move onto those.

I saw rock fishing on the beach. Nice.

All in all, if it's not as demanding as previous games and we don't have to talk the animals out of moving every few days it might be worth playing.

I didn't see any PWP's but I'm sure they are there. Curious to see what new ones are available.

Thinking about how long it takes to collect enough saplings then waiting for them to grow does put me off a little, as it literally took over a year to complete my town last time. I understand it is meant to be slow paced, but I also work, as I'm sure many others here do, and it is very time consuming.

Will wait for more information over the coming months, then decide.

oh yeah another thing i liked was being able to put your house on the beach. i really like that

I genuinely think it's beautiful, and I'm amazed by the dynamic lighting and objects appearing wet during rain.
It seems like most people approve of the appearance, but I don't understand why so many other people seem to dislike it. To me, it looks consistent with the animal crossing style while still being a graphic improvement from past games.

With that said, I'm sure there will still be significant animation/style changes before the game is released. Lighting will probably be tweaked so nothing appears washed-out.
I remember New Leaf originally looked strange, with funky trees/flowers and weird proportions.

I also really respect that the developers appear to have listened to fans and taken into account what we want as players. For example, we have been given a long-awaited path system and no more dirt patches throughout the grass.
It looks adorable!

I had only seen the trailer when I posted before, but after watching the entire presentation I'm having second thoughts.

Mileage?
No bells?

The graphics looked very flat, like the water, it looked better in New Leaf.
It feels in some parts like a downgrade.

I think it looks too much like PC.
I don't know how I feel now.

Deflated
