When I saw a social media post about the direct I was so excited because so much info can be packed into 20 mins....
Nintendo was able to do the Welcome Amiibo update in around 6 mins, and that update added SO MUCH to New Leaf.
I'm genuinely so excited for the direct, here's what i'm hoping for:
-Brewster foods, drinks, special outfits, items etc.
-An item overhaul with most of the Amiibo card items (or things similar). We need more furniture sets, food items & décor overall.
-I really want new crafting items because the community seems to be really fun when we have to hunt or grind to craft items in our shops etc.
-A Nook store upgrade (the one we have now is really sad haha).
- And maybe some returning characters from past games like Kapp'n etc.

Either way, we have had context clues to what we will probably expect. Nintendo would be dumb to promote a new series of Amiibo cards for AC if we couldn't use them OR the older ones?! This update may or may not take longer than the November release though.

Anywho,
what are your opinions =)?

i’m not sure how long i was expecting it to be, but 20 minutes is definitely incredibly sexy! there’s so much that i’m hoping for, such as the part-time job minigame from new leaf and gyroids, and so much that i’m curious about, such as the series 5 amiibo cards, but i’m honestly so excited that we’re finally getting some new content that i’m not feeling picky about what we get at all! i’ll be happy with whatever tbh. 😊

thats how im feeling! I am just excited for new stuff. I wanted to redo my island but I will probably wait until after the direct to start. If there are a lot of new items, I wanna see them beforehand :D

I'm happy with the length because it's about as long as I thought it would be. The main thing I'm hoping for are gyroids. Seeing more characters return would be nice as well. Aside from that, I don't have any other specific things I'm hoping for. Hopefully I'll enjoy the new content, whatever it is

Club Tortimer would be amazing. I’d love to see it. Although I do not play this game anymore, I think a lot of people would love for this island to return. I wasted so many hours on Club Tortimer in New Leaf chatting with random people and playing mini games. I loved the days when getting paired up was easy and there weren’t many trolls. I met a few nice people on the island. This would be perfect for New Horizons. I genuinely feel that more people would return to the game and activity would pick up if Club Tortimer returned.

I was thinking it would have been 30 minutes but perfectly fine with 20mintues. They can do a lot with that. So excited to see more information on Brewster even though I will have to wait until later in the end to watch. I’m we do finally get a nook cranny upgrade I hope it comes with the missing NL furniture.

I was pretty sure it wouldn't be 40 min like some people were expecting and I agree, 20 min sounds fantastic! Of course, we'll have to see if all that time is going over the new content or if they'll draw it out by just talking. While keeping my expectations low, I have a feeling I'll be happy with whatever we get because I'm so used to getting nothing from this game. :lemon:

That's enough time for a good deal of content if they manage it well. I hope they don't just stretch out Brewster's cafe and amiibo content for the entire showing.

I’m very happy it’s getting around the same Direct time as other major games, but I’m also super nervous about what they’re going to show. Obviously I’m excited to see the Brewster/Roost stuff and the Series 5 Amiibo information, but I’m terrified to get my hopes up for anything more. I can’t imagine they’d spend 20 minutes solely on those two things, but it really makes me wonder what they’re going to announce. I’m trying not to guess or read anyone’s hopes for this one because I don’t want to be massively disappointed when something that *wasn’t confirmed* (but would be nice) isn’t announced.
I think going into this with no expectations might be the best way to go about it this time.

I think more emotions are coming too!
20 minutes is great, i bet it’ll feel like so much more, I cant wait to see what they show us and for people to come back to the game even if its only for a little bit

I don't really care about Brewster and hope that the Roost is an optional thing, but I'm interested in seeing if they'll bring back more forgotten villagers (anyone who knows me well enough already knows that I'm obsessed with a certain jock lion...), as well as other NPCs like Gracie or give Chip and Nat SOME kind of appearance.
