How many villagers are you guys going to "cheat" in?

For me half the fun is the randomization and wonder of 'who am I gonna get?', my amiibo cards are all in storage on the other side of the country so it's not even an option for me lol.

I usually end up learning to love whoever moves in tho

I don't have any amiibo cards so I couldn't "cheat" villagers in even if I wanted to lmaooo

My desire for a town of my favorite villagers was fulfilled with New Leaf so I don't really mind who moves into my town in New Horizons

I’m not going to do it this time around.

At least not for a while. I really want Kid Cat but I want to earn him.

I want Raymond too but he doesn’t have a card so if I get him it will be 100% through my own effort.

I don’t really plan on adopting villagers through the forums either if that’s going to be a thing in this game.

I did get a twenty-four pack of cards on Amazon. It had Cookie and a few other villagers I like. I don't know if I will invite them in as those are typically hard to get rid of, but I will definitely be scanning them in for whatever items we get for doing so.

There's no shame in my game. Definitely scanning in Rocco, Bubbles, Jambette, Tabby, Cesar, and Violet. I bought their amiibo cards just for this purpose.

I haven't really decided yet but I do have several cards of villagers I like such as Kiki, Velma, Cherry, Rosie, etc...
However, if the other Amiibo villagers come back in an update, there's definitely going to be some of those on my island.

I'd probably scan in one villager for sure if she doesn't pop up before I get the Amiibo thing! That villager is Velma hehe, my ultimate fav! I'll probably scan in a few more just to see what they're all about but mostly I'm gonna try to experience them as they come

So, to be clear, you can scan in the amiibo cards that were released way after ACNL? I bought them from a collector's prospective thinking that Nintendo would never implement the use of 3DS cards to Switch. Interesting, to say the least.
