It's statistically far safer than driving, riding a bicycle, or being on the road in general. The number of overall incidents is tiny compared to the 80s, but on the rare occasion something does happen you always hear about it simply because of its rarity. There's nothing to fear.

I've only been on a plane once and that's when my whole family moved from Spain to the U.S. Other than that, I've never been in a plane. I don't think I want to since I'm terrified of heights. My friend tells me there's nothing scary about them but I'm still scared of them, yuno?;-;

As for airplanes, only once or twice a year or even every two or three years. I can probably count how many airplanes I've been on in my life using my hands. We usually go on vacation to places in cars cause I'm terrified of airplanes. Not bombs or terrorists or anything like that mind you; I'm literally just scared of taking off and turbulence while in the air. Something about being 30,000 feet in the air makes me want to puke. It's to the point where my family doesn't make me go on planes nearly at all.

I did 1-2 even though I haven't flown this year, cause I have been on an airplane, just not in a while. I think it's been a good... 10 years at least... Really we don't go much of anywhere, it kind of sucks, last time I went on was to Disneyland I think, and that was super short flights, the other times I went to Illinois and Mexico, the Illinois was the longest since I live in California. I enjoyed my times flying, and I hope in the future I am able to travel much much more. Money is really the only issue.

I fly usually once or twice a year. I try to go back to America around once every year to visit my family. I also like traveling a lot, so I fly within country, or I try to go abroad. This year, I've only flown twice, but there have been some years I flew four or five times.

I haven't been on a plane within the last year, but from summer of 2012 to summer 2013, I had been on a plane 8 times for 3 different trips. I went to Florida, New York, and Germany among other European countries. I think since I had such a busy year with a lot of traveling, I probably won't be flying anywhere for a while
