Escapism
I wish I could stay
In this dream far far away,
Away from despair

Hush
As I rest my eyes,
Sweet lullabies cradled me
And told me sweet dreams

Dreamlike
Your dreamy eyes gaze,
Reflecting all shootings stars
We watched till we slept

Choice
What if I told you,
"You can stay here forever"
In this dream of yours

Eyes
Your eyes I adore,
Beautiful aurora blue
While I dreamt of you

Insomnia
You said you won't leave
But turns out you weren't real
So now I can't sleep

Angel
I watched you free fall
From the blue skies and the clouds
An angel, it seems

Rest
Head on my shoulders
As you drifted off to sleep
Deep in my embrace

Wish
You gazed at the sky,
Which lit up from shooting stars,
And wish upon them

Cupid's arrow
How I always feel
Surreal everytime you're here
Feels like a dream

Devil's snare
Please don't let me fall
Into the abyss of unknown
Stay here, forever.

Lumos
How I dreamt of you,
In your eyes I saw the light,
That saved me from harm.

Monster house
The floors are creaking
The walls are shaking, what gives?
Ohhh, a monster house.

You put me to sleep
Your lullabies, crystal clear

I know Haikus don't have to rhyme... but I love rhymes and find it more fun to write poems that do

Alright, here's my PROPER Haiku:

Stars shine in the sky

While down in your bed you lie

As dreams float on by

I like it better than the previous one which, admittedly, didn't look/sound right to me But I figured that was because I hadn't written one in forever. As I said before- I know they don't HAVE to rhyme, but I love rhymes, and it helps me keeps my poetry organized. If I didn't make it rhyme, I'd get too caught up in using the PERFECT words. I work better with some limitations, lol

I finally submitted mine. I changed the last line about 5 or 6 times within the first few days, so I wanted to sit on it for a while to make sure I was really happy with it before submitting.

I was falling asleep at a sleepover a couple years ago and woke myself up as I started to talk about grumpy cat. My friends were hysterical and it gives me a good laugh even now when I think about it. Rip to the fabulous, grumpiest grumpy cat there ever was
