Little Lullabies

@Kaiaa So I submitted my Haiku to the Private Contest and Event Submission board and select the “Little Lullabies” contest name but noticed there's only my thread?! Did I do it wrong or we cannot see other people's Haiku?

Since we are allowed to share our entries, here's the lullaby-related Haiku I submitted, titled "A Lover Croon":

What is lover croon
An eternal remedy
An angel true tune

Nothing soothes my ear other than my significant other's voice and her gentle hums

(Adorable little lullaby haiku btw! I’m not much of a lullaby person and prefer imagery, so I went with a dreamlike haiku, haha.)

For the theme of "dreams" can it be used as in like a hope or desire (e.g "i dream for a better world") or does it have to be literal sleeping dreams?

Dreams are often considered desires and aspirations. That’s perfectly fine.

it was like a dream
swept away, from below deck
the infinite sea.

chaos storm.
i met you in a
dream, like high tide crashing in,
a torrential rain.

nightmares.
tossing and turning
I see them tread through the dark
to kill me tonight.

lullaby.
come to dream, sweet child
touch of thyme, woven cloth to
keep nightmares at bay

illusion.
eyes wide open see
everlasting illusions
that dreaming becomes.

lying.
i lie,
though sleep eludes me.
i lie,
and no one hears me.
i lie,
dreams of future shatter,
divinity once sought
now abandoned.

last one isn't a haiku but i wrote it in the same doc and wanted to share

It's based on MLK jr's "I have a Dream" speech. I feel super clever by using that double meaning of "wake".

Ours was based on a dream Aegagrus had, where he became aware he was in a dream and woke up to prove it to a friend he made in the dream that didn't believe him. Definitely one of the more poetic dreams someone in this system has had.
