There’s not much to say for myself here, and perhaps I shouldn’t say this but I will anyways-
I also don’t think tessa is the maf partner. I wasn’t even expecting shawo to be the person det looked at last night.
Her posts don’t read as suspicious to me, and certainly not to the extent shawo’s actions were…It could be a big act but I’m just not buying it right now.
I think tessa is town and shawo was trying to set up to lead another town bandwagon.
Especially now, looking back at that one post about being unsure. Why would they give that bit of deniability to themselves as an experienced player?
like where i’m standing right now if it came down to it- if it was between maf!tessa & maf!sidney. i’d vote sidney. tessa is my strongest townlean- barring sheep as hard cop claim.
if it came between maf!betsy & maf!sidney, i’d probably swing for sidney again because after looking back at betsy’s posts of d1. i think the mafia chat is a tinfoil hat thing and she was a lot less sus d2. way more townleaning her towards eod today.
if it came down to debating between maf!random & maf! any one else i don’t know how it would stand up. because i don’t know and can’t tell if random is legit lazy!town or coasting!maf

I admit I'm kind of stuck on Tessa right now - I firmly believe bussing is not a good strat and I have reason to believe Shawo genuinely was gunning for an approach of eliminate strong towns and sniping cop at night. D1 was proof enough that people will follow him and that his math and meta spew was working. Funny that he's also doing math and meta spew as he's dying - kinda solidifies that he's aware that's where his strengths lie.
I am unfortunately also very paranoid by nature and cannot rule out the fact if someone was to bus it would be Shawo - however I think that depends on if Shawo thought he would get investigated or not.
Why do you propose Sidney specifically?
sidney for me lies behind mostly process of elimination. which sounds awful, because i don’t think she’s inherently scummy in the sense of gamestyle. but i also know it’s easy to play the inexperience card while you’re being coached through a game by someone with experience.
if it came down to voting someone i’m unsure of verses someone i strong town read, i’m always going to not vote for my townlean. (ex trent townlean vs a no elim) i still to this day believe if we voted no elim and chanced working out the mechanics of it, trent would of be vital for us d2 barring he didn’t get nk’d.

random hurts me because they play like they have nothing to hide but also don’t put any effort in when asked questions. so it’s both perceived as townie and scummy. if this game had tp in it- their play style is straight up tp. and it’s infuriating as town to see someone not contribute in even the smallest ways.

If I’m somehow voted off, and tessa is still as strong a town read as today (so likely nk next night, right?)

I think regardless of which one of the three is mafia that kind of worries me, at this particular moment
Also, I think random is the most confusing right now. Shawo also defended them to begin with off of nothing, then flip back, then back to defending again. Then defending again this morning. Perhaps the shawo sus is coached distancing?

Tae, I’m still iffy about. I’m not a huge fan of the sus on me but when it’s just elimination it’s hard to make a judgement on it. Especially when I agree about tessa probably being town. I do wonder though, tae, did you say why you think it’s not betsy?

I can tell you reading Random doesn't get better if you've been active in the 2020 tbt maf era as we've had both new towns and wolves who have this style of gameplay. Mafia as a game is deceptive if you're just signing up for it for the fun and don't realize how reading intensive it's gonna get. I can't really fault them for that in all honesty, I personally struggle to keep up sometimes since my timezones leave me reading 4+ pages every morning.
My biggest beef with Random so far really is the very first d2 post. It reads so much as Shawo having told them to find a reason to sus. I did this literal exact show and dance with my maf partner when I was both playing AND wolfing for the first time.
Also like. This is very minor. I think.... Random dropped the word 'coached' in their first post d2. I just... that's a very specific word, one that I do not think anyone in the thread had used at that point... but then the word was used for Shawo so I'm ???
I think it was actually said a few times, but it seems like random wasn’t really reading the threads, either

There had been some talk about maf partner giving instructions but I cannot find an instance of that wording?? If anyone can second check d1 with me for that then PLEASE.
I also will 100% preface this with english ain't my first language, if coached is a really common word for you guys then I can accept that. It's just not one that pops up first for me.

Hey I thought my points had merit at the time, lol.
Looking back at it, trent going for a quiet, lazy no elim day was, to me...sus. Tae defending that sort of sus play/player I think extended my sus to them.
Shawo pushing for elim d1 is typical from the only game I've seen them in, and typical of a lot of players pushing for info, so I didn't think it was all that sus.
But knowing shawo is maf, and willing to flip d1 to vote tae....seems less likely for tae to be the partner.
I'm leaning toward random, with tessa an unlikely but possible only due to poe.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with that at this time. I would vote random over sidney. But I get shawo maf = unhinged.
