Valentine's Rose
so i went home early today, because my friends were scared that i had appendicitis. i was complaining about my stomach hurting, mostly near my abdomen, so they got scared and told me to go home. so now i'm home. and now, i'm wallowing in so much pain, i thought i'd go on tbt and make a post.

so enough introduction: what do you think is the most useless body part. (i'm not sure if i mean arm or something, or internal things, but just say whatever.) also put a reason !!

Appendix, yeah lmao.....because it doesn't do anythinggg

Good luck with your stomach T_T

appendix, altho i personally think it has some function relating to certain pathogens (both harmful/beneficial) :/ but still people can do without it so

also lol there are so many reasons for abdominal pain idk why people jumped to getting ur appendix removed

Earlobes. They really aren't good for anything.

Also to everyone that said wisdom teeth, they actually do serve a purpose :p Without proper dental care (which wasn't common until fairly recently in human history) your teeth would rot and fall out, thus we had a four extra molars waiting to come in, should we live to reach adulthood.

Appendix or ear lobes. I'd say wisdom teeth but I don't have any. So maybe actually the answer is wisdom teeth.

the skin/cartilage part of the ears, why cant it just be tiny holes and thats it

They told me Appendixes were useless. They lied.

Far from being useless, the appendix may produce and protect beneficial probiotic colonies in the digestive system. According to researchers, the human digestive system is full of bacteria necessary to digest food.

definitely not the mitochondria because the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
wait thats not abody part

I dunno which is worse, the appendix, or wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth are pretty useless, unchewed food rarely finds its way that far back into your mouth, and wisdom teeth usually end up causing issues if not removed. They are also very hard to clean. Thankfully I got lucky, and my mouth is big enough for my wisdom teeth, so they don't have to be removed because they won't cause any future issues. Anyone can get appendicitis at any time though, which can really cause problems, aside from the pure agony of it all. Both are very useless, and can cause major issues. Whether you try to take care of them or not.

I think the fleshy part of the ear helps amplify sound, actually :)

Anyway, I think the most useless body part is probs the wisdom teeth or tonsils. They seem to cause more trouble than they're worth.

the cartilage part unless i'm wrong helps you to hear. like if you're talking to someone and you can't really hear them that well, if you were to press the cartilage forward on your right ear you'd hear them like 70% better or some statistic that i can't remember bc i saw this in a video once. it actually worked for me though, also if you do that then you won't be able to hear stuff behind you as loudly lol idk. also i think i'd be paranoid someone would be sticking things in my little ear hole all the time and it would freak me tf out.

but anyways.. the little moons under your finger nails. they don't really do anything besides act as an indicator. i just looked it up (personally, i don't have moons under my fingernails) and apparently you can lack them if you have a vitamin b-12 deficiency. the scary part is that it is also linked w/ low energy/depression/easy loss of memory. all of which i qualify for, especially the low energy and loss of memory. i'm about to invest in some vitamin b-12 real quick

The tiniest toe on each foot, IMO. Only good for getting stubbed, don't help with balance, and getting them removed seems like it would be awful. At least with the internal organs you can get rid of them with no obvious effects.

I'm going to echo everyone else who mentioned wisdom teeth. As someone who had all four wisdom teeth come in, I've already had one removed and another one is causing problems because it's difficult to properly clean. That one might have to come out, maybe next month. Eventually I'll probably have to take the other two out too, as having wisdom teeth unopposed can lead to problems all their own. The only purpose they really serve is to have you spend hundreds of dollars to have them removed. Add on the risk of developing dry socket if the blood clot disintegrates or becomes dislodged and they're wholly unpleasant things to have. Those who never develop wisdom teeth are truly fortunate.
