It's a channel full of videos and demos.JJH0369 said:What is it?
I like the demos too.Bulerias said:The Nintendo Channel is a marketing tool for Nintendo to see what you play, how much, and when. Don't you guys see? They collect information about you to better advertise to you. Common marketing trick, Amazon's been doing it for ages.
I like the DS demos, though.
You make it sound like a bad thing. They request games that they think we'll like based on the games we've played... that's goodBulerias said:The Nintendo Channel is a marketing tool for Nintendo to see what you play, how much, and when. ...what's wrong with that? I don't care if Nintendo knows that some guy in Kansas never plays his Wii.Bulerias said:Hah, you don't get it, though. so if you don't like what they're doing why even use the channel. Its your choice to use it or not. Everyone here knows, and just about know one cares. I am actually thrilled. I might actually get another game from Nintendo that I like.Bulerias said:Wait, you don't see what's wrong with harvesting consumer information?TheGremp said:...what's wrong with that? I just see it as an invasion of privacy. I'd LIKE to be able to download DS demos, and I'm going to do it for a while, but I don't plan on keeping this channel. Nintendo's gotten too... invasive for their own good.
Yeah, the channel is optional. But hey, so is buying a Wii in the first place!
You got that wrong, buddy. Plenty of people are paranoid in this sense. I don't want Nintendo using me as their 'guinea pig'... seeing all the games I play, when, how long... it's an invasion of privacy.only_half_evil333 said:so if you don't like what they're doing why even use the channel. It's all a marketing ploy. Like I said, the only good thing about the channel are the demos. The videos and info are all nice too, but the information harvesting is pretty disgusting.
