Alright I understand it is supposed to help but it doesn't. One reason why I don't like it is that we don't get feedback and how do we even know if it is just a minute or two just to waste our life? All I think it is just the moderator(s) just find out on there own that there is a bad topic. But come on may we just get feedback or anything? But I understand this topic may get deleted and if it does thanks for reading this.

It actually does help, because the staff can't possibly find all the things that the member's report and that helps us out a lot. We do the reports based on what we think should be done, I don't think feedback is needed but I don't think it's necessary for other people to know what was done with the report or what was done to the member reported. But the reports do help, so if you see something needing reporting, instead of posting in that thread, just report it, and it will be handled.

You don't like the report button because it doesn't give you any sort of tangible reward?

Pfft, I say, pfft. The moderators like it, believe me.

They even get e-mails when things get reported, don't worry about it not working.

I don't mean it that way but we never get feedback. Like if I reported lets say a person who did a bad thing on the forum and I sent the complaint I wouldn't get a screen for a thanks or just some feedback from the moderator that did his \ her job who deleted the topic or closed it.

Reports do help. Staff look at every report, just because you don't get feedback for it, doesn't mean we didn't see it.

I understand but the question still is how do we even see you actually read it? Words don't do everything in the whole world you know.

Most likely, if you see them lurking that same topic, they saw the report.

You don't need to see. We handle every report. End of.

We should at least get a pat on the back or a "thank you for your contribution!". Sure, we do it for the good of the forum, but we at least deserve to be credited, a thank you can go a long way.

Nigel pats xeladude on the back.

I know that, but we should though. Imagine this, no mods, no admins, no people who report.

A huge flame goes on for hours.
If a mod gets an e-mail as said, and they are checking it or on MSN, they'll see it.

Some people are just good people and you should no the difference between right or wrong and you all like TBT, so why just leave something bad just because you didn't get thanked. You might get a good thing out of it at the end.
I think that came out right XD .

How would you feel if you stopped a huge spamfest with the report button?
High and mighty, right?
You think you'd deserve a thanks or a pat on the back?
I do, so why not at least get a PM from a grateful mod for leading them to the topic.

From what I can tell, you don't feel like you get enough credit for being an annoying minimod. I really hate that word, but it fits perfectly.

Annoying?
Imagine the VGD children back here, posting those topics.
We should get a thank you for stopping such vulgarity.
