I went to Yogurtland yesterday with my mom to collect the three Pac-Man spoons they have there, because I collect Yogurtland spoons and have been doing so for years.

Not 5 seconds after I have walked out the door, this guy there, presumably a teenager, was standing outside singing the Dora the Explorer theme song with his friends. My mom and I laughed as we were walking back to the car.

No, he and his other teenaged friends didn't hear us. We were laughing, and we didn't make fun of him or anything, it's because I loved Dora the Explorer when I was a really young girl, and my mom used to watch the show with me, as well.
This reminds me of when that Little Einsteins trap remix blew up in 2015 and everyone in my class was singing it. Never lose those childhood memories!

Oh yeah, I remember when some of my friends my age were singing the Little Einsteins theme song! This also happened in 2015, I think. I don't see these friends anymore, but I do know that they are in their 20's now.

If I could choose some books for required reading and teaching in schools, I’d pick A Killing Hope by William Blum, Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano and a People’s History by Howard Zinn. Open Veins and A People’s History would be excellent since they both would be extremely helpful in getting students to critically think, not to mention the educational material is excellent. It gives a different perspective on topics that aren’t discussed much about at all (like Christopher Columbus and what he and Conquistadors did to indigenous populations). A Killing Hope is much heavier—probably better for a general college course or advanced placement course in high school. It’s a very heavy read but a big eye opener since the things discussed aren’t things taught in our textbooks or talked about in our news. They make me so mad but the information they gave me was invaluable. If future generations knew what they taught, maybe there’d be a chance to change tradition and change the future for the better.

So, apparently, our vacation to New Mexico got cancelled for this July, and we are gonna plan to go next July instead. My dad knew about the wildfires, but he was still holding out hope that it would work.

While it is very unfortunate that the wildfires happened, I am actually relieved for the most part. If you know me well enough, you would probably know my stance on vacations

Only a small part of me is sad for two reasons:
#1 - I have been upset over a new and re-occurring situation and kinda wanted to get away for a bit.
#2 - While I do not like to be away from home, one thing I do like about vacations is that we sometimes get to do things I do not do very often, like eat out in the evening.

But for the most part, I am actually kinda glad. Packing is a pain and the ass, I hate waking up early, and sometimes I get my time of the month during vacations.

I think games like Tomodachi Life and Nintendogs were extremely hard to implement/translate to home consoles that didn't have double screen and stylus. Both of these games are very experimental in nature.

Tomodachi Life made heavy reliance of double screens especially the apartment portion in which you have to touch whichever the apartment window you want to view. The Mii status screen is also heavily reliant on using two screens so there's that.

Other games can easily be executed in other consoles that didn't have two screens but these two particular games I mentioned above have heavy reliance on the two screens and a stylus.

Also, the voice synth in the Japanese version reuses the one in the DS version. While the international version is just newly made at that time. So basically, the one we got overseas is actually a sequel to the DS game "Tomodachi Collection" henceforth, the Japanese name "Tomodachi Collection: New Life".

Just like the Animal Crossing GameCube we got here is actually an enhanced port of an N64 game that was released only in Japan which explains the polygonal graphics in the original Animal Crossing game.

This one time, two years ago, my friend saw me watching a video about New Leaf and said that I was a baby for watching a video about that game (don’t worry… we’re not in an abusive friendship or anything). Later I got him to listen to 1PM from that game. I didn’t tell him what the song was and then asked him what he thought about it, and he said it was pretty good. So then I said that it was an Animal Crossing song, and he paused for a moment, and then said that at the very least, Animal Crossing has some pretty fire music.

So… I think I accomplished something.

Yoshi, that's awesome. Your friend is spot on, too. Animal Crossing has some pretty fire music.

I really thought I'd never be hooked on the Animal Crossing series but here we are!

My dad likes to watch videos about the stock market. A term I've seen tossed around pretty often is "bullish". It's used to describe an increasing wealth in stock values (to my knowledge).

For some reason, I find that it sounds similar to an expletive term...bull****. My mind is so dirty. x_x

Can I please just transfer to another school? Anywhere? Anywhere else? I don’t care where it is, literally anywhere else is better than this. This place sucks and I don’t think I can handle going to it for 9-10 months a year anymore. I’ve said that a lot but I really really believe it now.

I think I just saw the moon the biggest I’ve ever seen it before, thanks to my boyfriend driving me home at just the right time. It almost jumpscared me, it was so big and orange! 🧡 I would share a pic, but you know how the moon turns out on mobile cameras.

Can't wait til the morning! Gonna order those joy cons and hopefully by Wednesday I'll have them.

Did he eat a lemon or is he just trying really hard not to laugh?

The 12 AM songs in the Animal Crossing games normally sound like a nice midnight relaxing tune or that the rough times are over, but the one in New Leaf is rather scary and a reminder that you’re on a dangerous adventure. Crazy part is, said dangerous adventure is anywhere outside during a certain time of the day. And the 12 AM song is sandwiched between two dark and depressing songs.

It's funny how I actually prefer New Horizon's 12AM over New Leaf's. In my opinion, there's too much energy in New Leaf's version to play it that late. That game's 1AM music, however, is fantastic. It can put me to sleep any day.

I try to let children cross if I see them walking. This morning I saw a grandmother and a child today and I was trying to wave them through.

Later on though when I slowed in a roundabout I got a horn blown at me.

It was because I couldn't tell if the truck coming out would yield to me. I guess the angry driver behind me thought I stopped to be friendly.

He didn't yield.

I’ve been having a ton of Deja vu the past week. Today I had it four times. I don’t know if it’s because I live in a somewhat rural area, but I feel like I keep encountering people I’ve already seen before doing and saying the exact same thing in the exact same place I saw them last.
