I watched a video of a guy ranting loudly on a public bus. Three people approached him and tried to make him stop. He pulled a knife out and killed two of them, and severely injured the third.

I didn't actually know it would turn violent. I thought the video was just going to be about a rambling crazy dude.

My mother has always warned me that you don't know who will escalate into violence, so it's better to not seek conflict with strangers at all.

People these days have no sense of morals. Nobody should behave like this.

But for your safety, please avoid anyone who yells in public (especially if they’re using expletives). Because they may be up to no good.
 
Crickets kind of creep me out. I know they’re mostly harmless but I don’t vibe with how big they are or how they’re always finding their way into my house at this time of year.

Funny how I try to speedrun my scented candles burning in order to buy new ones (one in one out rule) but the moment I'm almost done with them I don't dare burning them anymore because I enjoy them and I don't want to throw them away???
 
You know, eyelashes are meant to keep stuff out of my eyes, yet they get in my eyes more than anything. They get so deep in there too.
 
today's the first day of licensure exams of most of my batchmates.... i woke up with a number of messages in friend group chats since they're all meeting up just before entering the exam site. i purposely delayed taking the exams since i wanted to take some time off and i wanted to space out my studying, so while i am technically behind most of my batchmates, i don't really know how i should feel right now? all my life ive been so worried about 'falling behind' yet i chose to delay myself for a few months because i was so burned out trying to catch up to anything and everything. sometimes i think, 'if they can do it why can't i?' but right now my mind is literally blank like. i would say nonchalant? idk.

i also think about my other friends outside and how maybe they used to feel that sort of way too? two of my friends are taking their PhD in the US. one recently graduated engineering and is studying for her own licensure exam. one has graduated engineering long since but is working in a career unrelated to engineering. one is a medical clerk who didn't want to be a licensed medtech. one is a licensed medtech and a second year medical student. one is a nurse studying to get her license abroad. one is also taking an entrance exam for medicine today. crazy to think that these are the people i used to have parallel lives with, studying for years in the same classroom with the same subject for grade school and high school years. now we've all diverged into different fates that you can't truly say any of us are 'falling behind'. we're all moving forward someway somehow, and i think that's what makes me more calm.

i know this conclusion was very obvious but i just needed to hear it from myself. im always so so hard on myself that it's impossible for me to listen to others sometimes. sorry i just needed somewhere to like. gather my thoughts and feelings? because i thought i'd be absolutely devastated when this day would come but im actually very calm right now. wished nothing but the best for all my friends who are taking the licensure exams today, i hope they all pass :] i also sent them some small gifts to cheer them on and im happy they liked it. they told me they would also cheer me on when my time comes. ^^
 
work got me gassed this week
the fact that i just got out and have to be back in 12 hours got me tight lol i cant wait for my next day off
 
I had no idea fall break was a thing until recently. No school I’ve ever gone to had that.
 
I sorta miss teachers in high school asking how your day or weekend was (or something similar).

yeah it's pretty much just unimportant conversation, but it was nice and I stopped hearing that kind of thing from anybody after graduation.
 
Tired all day and about to fall asleep all the time until the clock strikes 3am. Then I'm energized. Then I'm awake. Then I'm alive. Someone please come and save my sleep schedule.
 
Now that I think about it, my personal favorite stories that I’ve written are more aimed at children. I mean, “The Elf and the Boy” isn’t really a “little kids’ story” but it’s appropriate for…older kids, I guess? And the mouse story isn’t for babies, but I guess early to middle-grade readers.

It’s funny because I never really wanted to write anything for kids— not out of spite, I just didn’t think it was in the cards. But as an artist, there isn’t a point where you stay where you are forever— you keep moving and growing and changing.
