Pokémon Pokemon Go General Discussion

Today has been one chain of disappointments one right after the other. Tracking is broken, Pokevision is down. Opened my game earlier today and saw that there was a Gengar by me but I had no way to find out where it was let alone how long it's been up for. Walked around the block and no dice. I got cat called during my walk which was annoying. I really wanted that Gengar...

I really hope they can bring back the tracking footsteps in a working way. As this new update, with a lack of Pok?Vision makes it really challenging to find Pok?mon nearby. >.<

PokeVision closed down because apparently Niantic contacted them and such.
Also, tracking been broken, so they removed it. It is believed that they are making an improved tracking system, cause other without it, its being really limited.

The drama over the meltdown people are having in /r/PokemonGo is interesting. Gotta say though I've never felt comfortable with the idea of people asking for full refunds (for Microstransactions) and I'm extremely uncomfortable about the people trying to get Pokemon Go removed from the App Stores because Niantic screws the pooch.

yeah, the people at Reddit are really freaking out over Niantic

also this stupid Golbat made me waste like 20 balls, I think the update made it harder to throw accurately or something

I mean to be fair Niantic is really screwing the pooch by not directly talking to fans, instead we're getting a lot of tidbits from journalists and articles. :/ However I don't think that's worth getting the app removed from app stores for everyone.

Been hearing that a lot along with Pokemon being more likely to flee? Which is disappointing.

Yeah, based on their actions, Niantic is turning out to be pretty scummy :/

Has it all of a sudden gotten harder to catch or is it because of leveling? Since as far as I'm aware catching gets harder as you level.

I was on level 18 before the update, I haven't leveled since. I've noticed that they are more likely to break out and run now, no matter what their CP is.
I could understand if this was the case on higher CP Pokemon (like 300+) as it was before, but a 10 CP Pidgey breaking out of Poke Balls constantly is stupid. And that's what's happening to me a lot now.

I guess they're making it harder so people spend money? Like didn't the badge shop for 3DS eventually make their catchers harder than they were at the start as well?

Hey is anyone experiencing getting the wrong pokemon?
Like when they pop up on the screen it shows and Evans and when you catch it is a completely different pokemon?

I'm noticing the nest changes with the new update.

I live near a Nidoran male nest, and I was pretty close to having 125 candies to try for a high CP Nidoking. Now it's a Nidoran female nest. I'm assuming the nest changes to the pokemon right behind it in the Pokedex?

Yeah... refunds on coins that you've spent is shady as hell to say the least.
