Productivity & Accountability Thread

I have a day off tomorrow, so I have some time to get some of my tasks done!
  • Finish my laundry, since I need both my work shirts and the new shirts I bought cleaned.
  • Clean my room, it's been a mess for long enough and I think being in a clean environment would do wonders for my overall mood.
  • Go to the pharmacy to get my prescriptions.
  • Transfer half of my paycheck into my savings account, and give the money I owe my dad.
  • Finish the fanfic I started a month ago...
  • Finish one of my sketches I did who knows how long ago, though this is low on my priority list.
  • Check and reply to some of my emails.

For the rest of this week I need to do the following:
- Change my bed sheets
- Vacuum the house
- Do my therapy homework
- Complete a journal entry prompt that's way overdue

December to-do
  • Practice playing test piece until I can play 108 BPM (by Dec. 11) (it doesn't sound that hard but it really is)
  • Run the hell out of my gala performance song (by Dec. 11)
  • Practice Disney band pieces (by end of January) (18 REHEARSALS UNTIL WE PERFORM WHAT THE HELL WE NEED MORE) (the trip's in May but if I can't play most pieces proficiently by the end of January I run the risk of getting kicked out) (18 sounds like a lot but we have like 13 pieces)
  • Buy Christmas gifts (hopefully soon)
  • Restock stage makeup (this weekend)
  • Tell my theatre director I can't perform this year (SOON) (show clashes with band) (he would know by now but ya boy has social anxiety)
  • Finish the first three chapters of the one fic (by Sunday)
  • Clean binder
  • Clean backpack
  • Clean room (better earlier than later)

Hoping to get back into reading fanfic and just books in general. I haven't had the motivation to read lately (big change from a few months ago when I absolutely binged all the books I could and physically couldn't stop reading ff), so I'm going to try read two books of my own choice in 2025. Really small goal, but hopefully that makes it achievable.

Random thought, but I've learned that the trick to being productive is to grasp any semblance of motivation and just go for it. Once I start thinking, "Hm I should probably get started on that one task" I just go for it. It's so hard to be fully motivated, and when I procrastinate I lose all motivation I had which makes it even harder to start something. So no matter how small, once you start even thinking about the task, just do it. You will get in the zone I promise.

I'm off work for the next few days, so hopefully I can get my tasks done ASAP.
  • Clean my room and do my laundry (Biggest priority since my room is a mess...)
  • Book an appointment with my doctor
  • Reply to one of my emails and message my older brother
  • Order a birthday gift for some family members
  • Play some games - Either Stardew Valley, one of the South Park games, or the demo for the Dog Man game
  • Put some of my new CDs in CD cases, since a few of them don't have one
  • Do a bit of grocery shopping
  • Listen to at least one new album

I had a lil nap, so now I should all be good to get some things done today.

- Need to do some drawing in my 365 drawing book thing, as I am behind. Might be just focusing on faces, hands and hair again.
- I might focus on some myth drawing, sketch it maybe?
- I really wanna work on my portfolio!! :D Feel more better about it in some ways.
- May do some diamond painting bits. Nearly finished one I got from my sister.
- Maybe read another chapter of a book.
- I added a ACNH guide app which I have had on my laptop before, but decided to put it on my phone instead because it will be quicker so updating that too.
