Random thoughts thread. (New Horizons)

I remember in New Leaf, your TPC also has your state of residence. When two players that play online come from the United States, their state name can be found on the TPC instead of country name.

New Horizons doesn’t have that. I can’t tell if another player is from Texas or not.

Ugh, I have an idea. But it might involve me tearing down pretty much my entire Island.
It's still Japanese theme though.

I want to cry, because there's so much to pick up. lol😭

i know what u mean, u should keep the island. make small changes, resist the temptation

I haven't played in a few months, and I'm afraid to see what my island looks like when I load it up LOL

When you have other theme ideas, but can't do them yet because you're still doing one theme that's taking so, sooo long to complete ;_;
Currently still trying to make my kingdom, but my mind keeps going to other islands and their themes...one in particular that would be really easy to do, because its going to be more water than anything.
Another one being a superhero town with Big Top, Kid Cat, Rocket and Agent S.

I did it. lol
However I did not take everything down, I am doing it bit by bit. Because I do not want to feel overwhelmed again; all because I decided to wipe the entire Island clean.

(Also I'm time traveling to remove all the stairs and bridges and to move the buildings. Because I'm not waiting for a full new day to arrive. nope!)

i am sentimental of islands, what if you like the things you dont take down fully and keep it. You could start your new island early

Still in the middle of terraforming. This how the map is looking so far. I want to try and add a lake in the back.
That big chunk in the middle is what I'm currently working on.

-Almost everyone houses are placed back on land except for Sally, Static and my character who owns a hot springs. The house on the left side (by river mouth) of the beach is the only one that stays.

-The museum is also sitting in a temporary spot, I have no clue right now where to put it yet.

- Trying to maintain my bamboo forest, but what with the direction I'm going. It may not really make it..at least a good chunk of it.

- Able Sisters is now the proud owners of a garden and nearby teahouse.

- A walk-in library has been added. It's located to the right of the Resident Service building.

- And more changes to existing areas that I haven't destroyed.

Also, I temporary removed my DA. I don't want people visiting the outdated version.

theres so much going on in there! I love bamboo forests, I also have made one.

OH, those water spots are the river inlets, Youre missing your river. I didnt see that I thought they were kinda cool looking as is. What if you had a creek, a very thin one. With a deer scare too. Idk im just imagining. OMG, hey uh, I hope you dont mind me just blurting out ideas. I thought of this just now; an underground river/creek. Have the river lead into a cliff with rocks around the area and exit somewhere else but like, make sure its difficult to see those places so you could make them slightly hidden. : )

this sounds really cool

I just bought the last 10 Amiibo AC Amiibo cards. I am now the proud owner of all 504 Animal Crossing Amiibo cards including the 6 Sanrio cards and the 50 WA cards. The only cards I do not have are the special Amiibo Festival cards but I'm not planning on getting those.

It was a fun journey to collect them. Took over a year or so but I'm happy I got them. Even more happy that I don't have to keep spending money on them. XD

In game, I'm still going to likely still villager hunt because those are fun to do but it's nice to know that I can literally have any villager I want without having to hunt for them. Also it will be fun to use the cards to make vacation homes for all of them without having to wait for them to pop up on the vacation island.

Do I recommend people try to buy all of them? I personally enjoyed buying all of them. It's nice to look at my collection and think 'I stuck with it'. But it does take a lot of money and I mean a lot, and a ton of patience. It took me over a year to get all the cards, and I'm not the patient person in the world. So had to learn to pace myself when it came to buying the cards and not just buy a lot in one fell swoop. But if you have the extra money, patience and really care about having a nice collection to look at, I say go for it.

Funny how over year ago I didn't give a good two hoots about Amiibo cards and said I wouldn't buy them, now a year later, I proudly own all of them. Funny how that happened. XD

Congrats on your goal! I've obtained all of series 1-4 as well; just missing a few from series 5 and about half of the WA cards. Collecting these was oddly satisfying, and it's cool that they also serve a purpose.

However, it would be a longshot to recommend someone to start their own complete collection. For starters, finding packs in the stores is very difficult. Last time I checked in my local Target, all they had were the Sanrio cards. They would definitely have to be bought online. Second, the WA cards were reprinted in Japan and Europe when 2.0 dropped, but not in the US for whatever reason. This makes inviting villagers such as Ketchup and Dobie through standard means a bit difficult if you don't have their cards already. Thankfully, all are region free, so one could have EU cards work on their US system and vice versa.

Trading the cards is also fun if you buy the packs and get extras. Heck, TBT's post office area exists for this purpose. Not everyone would be as invested into owning a ton of these cards, but if someone is a dedicated fan like us here on TBT, then why not? It'll be interesting to see if another series comes along for whatever mainline game is released next.

I have been getting back into Animal Crossing after a long time and I came across a strange island on a boat tour. It had shooting stars across the sky, star fragments on the beach and in rocks. Has anyone ever seen an island like this?

Reese and Cyrus feels less painful in NH compared to NL where you had to wait for Cyrus to change the furniture color.

I have. It's definitely one of the rare Kapp'n islands you normally don't encounter, though it's not the rarest. If I'm not mistaken, you can only get there after 7PM.

Time to unveil my new island theme and name in celebration of completing my Amiibo collection.

My island's name is Aria Falls. It's theme is waterfalls and water. The villagers who will live on the island are going to be ducks and frogs.

Also considering starting a villager cycling thread.

I'd actually love an all-female island but it would sting booting off Egbert and Sterling...

Alright decided my villager lineup for Aria Falls. There are going to be 5 ducks and 5 frogs. 3 ducks will be female and 3 frogs will be male. So with that being said, my villager line up.

Females

Peppy
Ketchup (Duck)
Pompom (Duck)

Snooty
Mallory (Duck)

Normal
Lily (Frog)

Sisterly
Diva (Frog)

Males

Lazy
Jeremiah (Frog)
Weber (Duck)

Cranky
Camofrog (Frog)

Smug
Henry (Frog)

Jock
Bill (Duck)

Idk why but I'm just thinking again about how we can't design pants/bottoms which makes no sense. I don't even do custom designs tbh but it's nice to see so many outfits made by players, and the pants being left out just feels like such a bad choice. 😅
