Random thoughts thread. (New Horizons)

If Ozzie is the first random lazy of my new island I'm resetting again. Okay, no. But I will kick him out with an amiibo as soon as possible. c:
 
I just had a sudden urge to go back to my island. Like, I’m wanting to put on some relaxing music and just zone out from reality for a bit. Maybe change a thing or two on the island in the process.

At the same time, however, I’ve been more interested in taking some of my favorite villagers, such as Lopez and Roscoe, and having them pose as I continue to improve my photography and editing skills. My ultimate goal is to make video shorts with these guys, and perhaps get into a bit of animation. I just wish drawing wasn’t so much of a challenge for me…
 
This is more of a question. Has anyone hunted the first 3 villagers even though they have the specific amiibo because they like a certain character in the starter home.

For example the house that gets the Peppy I believe to me Audie looks really nice with all the wooden furniture better than her official home to me.

Anyone else have this thought?
 
Truffles is growing on me. It's not her fault she's not the most aesthetically pleasing villager. She's just as sweet as the other peppies. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)
 
flowers basically act like weeds since they keep sprouting, especially after the rain and they won't stop until they have completely covered any open spaces they're next to unlike the weeds which stop spawning after you reach 150 (or so i've read, not sure if it's true).
 
I get to see who the first smug villager of my main island will be today and I'm nervous, hehe. I'm really hoping for Shep, I love the dog villagers. Watch it be Kidd again though, he always finds his way back to me somehow. Maybe he has a crush on me. (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

That can't be true, as Leif's weeding service requires a ridiculous amount of weeds to sprout on your island before you can use it. I believe last time I tried to use it on my backup island, I got turned down, and thus had to go pick them up myself and counted close to 200 weeds. Maybe they do stop spawning if you've got a lot of other items placed outside so that not every "tile" is filled up, but I can't verify that.

I know it sounds pretty wild but I read this from the datamine guides (ACNH Info on Discord). Basically people think this is a glitch or oversight on Nintendo's part because Leif requires 300+ weeds to use the weeding service yet your island can only spawn 150 "naturally." However I haven't actually tested this myself so I can't say for sure, just that's what the dataminer have said.

That must be a pretty big unfixed oversight then. Leif's service should honestly require 100 or so weeds and not the crazy amount that almost renders it useless. I wonder if someone could convince Nintendo to fix that one "bug" so those who want to revisit their islands later on aren't faced with a weed-picking dilema, but we all know it won't happen.

it absolutely is! thats a great suggestion, hopefully they do implement it in a future update! unfortunately nintendo is probably aware but just doesn't care as they've basically abandoned this game... :(
 
I hope I can get OHare to think about leaving my island soon.
Not just for changes for a new villager hunt, but because I've been gifting him so much, I rather not him be too high friendship that he will push him into a party I rather him not be there.
Not a complete hater of him, but was hoping he would've been gone as quick as possible. Yes I could kick him out with a villager card but I really wanna go on a villager hunt.
