It's sad to see that some people have been misled by some Youtubers going to beautiful, very decorated islands and slapping '5 star-island' on it, when it's probably not.
My island is a decorated Japanese-like theme town set in autumn/fall (for now, may change) and it's 4-stars not 5. Pretty sure most of these islands have that same rating. But that doesn't mean that they are terrible towns, it just means that if we wanted golden watering cans and Jacob's ladders to grow like weeds on the island, we have to balance everything out (need trees, flowers, bushes and rivers along with the furniture) in order to get it. Because that what the rating system is really all about, not how pretty your island is.
I already have my golden watering can, so I don't care about the rating anymore.

I really hope the next game has stuff for us to do with visitors. Mini games of some kind would be nice to stretch the playability of the game. I also wish the villagers personalities were a little stronger. Like I want the snooty ones to actually come off as rude.

it used to bother me when villagers would sit on the ground around where i was working on and terraforming or waterscaping, ESPECIALLY if there are chairs and benches around they could sit on instead but now i've just grown to accept it. i just tell myself it's like they want to be around you and hang out and i can't stay angry at that 
now i work around them and wait until they get up to finish up the area. it does still bug me when i'm trying to take a cute photo of them sitting and then they get up as soon as i establish a good shot

I wish I could hack New Leaf's soundtrack into this game; it's so much better. I hear it's possible (though not bug-free apparently), but the idea of hacking my older Switch with the risk of getting my account banned simply isn't worth it. I jailbroke my 3DS right before New Horizons came out, but that's only because I did not use any online features and I wanted to extend my interest in New Leaf as much as possible.

Honestly. I'm waiting for the next Marshmallow Squirrel and Glasses Cat. I thought Sasha would be it, but he doesn't seem to be as popular as those two. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places and Dreamy Bunny is just as popular as they are.
This game is five years old now. Man, does time fly. There hasn't been a game that gave me more hype than this one did, though I'll say that 2018's Spyro Reignited Trilogy comes a close second. I just hope that the next game's announcement will make me excited again, whenever that may come. We'll see what the April Switch 2 direct shall bring us...

Animal Crossing: Old Horizons
I noticed that my villagers have a higher chance of visiting the island around Paradise Planning than all others not living on my island, I have all cows and bulls available in the game. I had Vic, Tipper, and Naomi make an appearance not too long ago. Now I have Rodeo and Norma hanging out there today.

I believe the sea basses will be in the next Animal Crossing game, but do you know what I won’t expect? Breakable tools, animals being free to move wherever they want, grass deterioration, and lack of holidays.

My dumb butt thought it was a trailer for a new AC game. As soon as I heard waves crashing.
…or a surprise DLC. The concept that the new Tomodachi Life game is going for is pretty much how I’d wish our islands could look. I’m a citycore-centric player, and having businesses mixed in with the main town akin to Happy Home is something I’ve wanted for years.My dumb butt thought it was a trailer for a new AC game. Also, it’s pretty clear that Nintendo is still showing Animal Crossing related stuff in their directs, though only as examples for other features. The game hasn’t received an update since November 2021, so I don’t know why they keep showing it off like they do. And no, I’m not expecting any new Animal Crossing stuff in the Switch 2 direct. If anything, I’d say we may get something this fall at the absolute earliest.
After moving more flowers around today, I've realized I have far more roses than any other flower. Also, that I barely have any of my starter flower left, which was mums. Honestly thought I'd have more windflowers....
I'm trying to decide what makes the best primary color combination to put around my playground. I wish windflowers had yellow because they'd be my go to, but....
Only pansies, hyacinths, and roses have all three primary colors.... and as much as I hate the idea of more roses, they have to boldest color. TT-TT

I was trying to set up an area for bunny day. I don’t know why it took me so long to realize we don’t have an Easter basket. For some reason I thought we had one. I tried using the flower basket but when placed is too small.
