Since it’s getting closer to Christmas, what’s your fav Christmas movie?

My family always watched sort of Christmas/Winter-adjacent movies instead of the classics. I watch almost nothing as an adult, though I love Christmas (I do not love movies), but I think my most nostalgic Christmas-ish movie choice would be the 2002 adaptation of Nicholas Nickleby. Very solid movie with light holiday overtones at the end…..kind of….?

I’m gonna go with Polar Express. Wish the animation style was better, but the scenery is <333 Rudolph is also very cute but I haven’t seen him in ages lol

I like the original Miracle On 34th Street and the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott.

Polar Express wins by default for me as I'm not huge into holidays anymore. I enjoyed that movie, however, and it made younger me emotional when I watched it for the first time.

I honestly can’t pick one. I am a sucker for Christmas movies and have been watching them on a Christmas movie channel since July 😂🙈💜

I never watched any Christmas Specials or have any attachment to it since I mostly spend time with the family and focused more on the gifts and food during Christmas. The closest thing to a Christmas special I watched is probably an adaptation of "The Christmas Carol".

Home Alone 1 and 2, and also I know they aren't movies but I always like rewatching Christmas specials of TV shows I like, stuff like the South Park specials for example.

So many fun Christmas movies to choose from!
The ones we watch most are probably Christmas Vacation, Deck the halls, Die Hard, Christmas story, and probably Jingle all the way.
I remember watching The Bells of St Mary's when it would come on TV. It's an old movie, but pretty good.
We also watch the old Frosty the snowman and Rudolph movies.

Ig there's only one Christmas movie i really don't like. It's the one with the two brothers, mister heat miser and the other frosty one. Forgot what is called, but I can't stand that movie. And of course every Christmas someone in the house has to play it. Ugh.😂

The year without Santa?

I'm not really into watching movies a lot anymore as it is. When I do sit down to watch a movie, I keep pausing them to do stuff or just go back to it later. I don't think I've watched a movie all the way through in a long time.

I did like Shazam. It's kind of new and while it wasn't about Christmas it was during Christmas. And the movie had some really good themes and lessons. It's a shame they couldn't just call it Captain Marvel because Marvel had a hissy fit. It was leagues better than their movie anyway.

I do think some of the old Christmas movies are nice like Christmas Vacation or Christmas story, but I'd be lying if I said I sit down to watch them all the way. I might watch a little bit.

Shazam (the first one) was really awesome to be honest. I remember watching it at home with my dad and neither of us had seen it yet, and we thought it was great. One of my in real life friends really loved it too, XD.

The year without Santa?

I had to go look up the title, it's this monstrosity-

It was a spin off from the year without a Santa clause! It's so bad. And every year, someone finds it and plays it. And then i get that stupid song stuck in my head. 🙄

Shazam was great!

i watched the holiday for the first time last year and it's become my favourite christmas film since. i'll get into the christmas spirit and watch it again in late november/december

Year Without a Santa Claus is probably my favourite Chrismtas movie, mostly because I like the songs! I do also watch the Phineas and Ferb Christmas special every year.

Too hard to pick one, this time of year I always find myself watching the following;
Home Alone and Home Alone 2
101 Dalmatians (both live action and animated)
Muppet Christmas Carol (this movie has some banger songs)
Jingle All the Way
and of course Die Hard

I don't really have a favorite, but I remember watching Mickey's Magic Christmas: Snowed In at the House of Mouse and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas like every year as a child, and I also like Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, Jingle All the Way, A Christmas Story, Polar Express, and the Winnie the Pooh Christmas movies I watched as a child. And of course the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movies are classics
