Some players have Happy Home Paradise!

Okay I guess when you put it that way it will release by midnight, but still is there like any sort of indication to tell when you have the DLC? Its so hard to tell.
That part I don't know, unfortunately. I'm assuming at midnight it will auto-update to install the content but if it doesn't, I would try either doing a software update or maybe checking the eshop to see if it has an option to update there.

Why was everyone saying it would come out 9 PM EST? It's just 3 more hours but I was so ready to play it now.

Because typical updates for this game come out at that time. DLC updates are different though. From what I’ve seen, they usually go live for NA at midnight ET (at least for other Nintendo games I’ve played with DLC before).

I was thinking the same thing because when I go to the eshop it says "purchased" and I don't see a "download" button. I guess I must've predownloaded when I bought it, but now I have to update my game in order for it work. So I will try again by 12 AM to see if it will work.

When the DLC went live in my locale, I got a notification on the system that it was ready to be installed, basically the same one you get when there is a system update. I hadn't saved, so I did that then closed the game. When I opened it, the DLC was active. (You get a phone call)

Half an hour to go. Just want to know if I'll need to download anything else. When I got the update, I saw two download bars, so I assumed I got both the 2.0 update and the pre-load of the dlc (as I pre-ordered it).

Half an hour?

I still have an hour and a half to go... wanna swap time zones? XD

Not gonna lie, I'm fighting my own body, trying to stay awake lol. I woke up at 5AM, and I'm already in a zombie-like state.

I am still confused by this. Thats why I when I tried to update the software (via Internet) it still tells me that I am using the updated version. I think I remember it predownloading on the day I bought the DLC so it was pre ordered.

Question for those who have the DLC unlocked now: Does anyone know if you can only do one house per day if you are a non-time-traveler, or does it go by it’s own clock like HHD?

For the plots with multiple villager homes, is the villager shown on the map the first one to occupy the plot or the latest one?

It goes by its own clock. After you finish a job, Lottie will ask you if you want to do another one or stop for the day.

I'm starting to believe that the update will be unlocked for me at 1AM. I'm not really good with timezones, but I think I'm one hour ahead of EST (which I think is the timezone of NY?). I wouldn't be surprised if the dlc will be unlocked at the same time in all of the Americas, regardless of the timezone, being based on EST.

Did you close out the game and restart?
Yep, twice, actually.
