I closed out my game at 10pm and then opened it back up immediately and got the phone call from Nook. I lived in California

This perplexes me. If Nintendo isn't doing a same time release like with updates, I wonder why they didn't release it for you at 12:00am. What time did they give you New Horizons on March 20 2020?

It's a long story but I got my Switch a day late so I'm not sure. This was probably just because of the region I used eShop from.

I checked now and it says ready to play! Thank you for the help, though.
