Are anime figures okay for creepy humanoid doll as long as they’re humanoid?
Post automatically merged:

Here are my entries; I’m not sure if these will count:

Item 1:

Item 2: My dad’s shovel.

Yeah, I'm having the hardest time with this distinction around a doll... because Barbies are definitely dolls to me, but also sort of look like action figures. Some voodoo dolls look sort of plushy-like. I have a few creepy action figures or Christmas ornaments or disembodied heads... but I suppose none of them are exactly dolls! Will probably go take a trip to the local store or thrift shop and find something that works out better.

Round 1

Item 1:“Creepy” humanoid doll (must be a humanoid shape and be a proper doll; no plushies, teddy bears, action figures, porcelain figurines, etc.)

My neighbor had this lovely(?) creepy witch outside her door, I think she’s going to entice us in with treats and then bake us into a pie

Item 2: Rust (any rust on metal)

Rusty nuts on my tire… should I be a little scared? (Too many years living in the snow!)

Item 3: Bat or bat imagery (can be a real bat, bat plush, Batman poster, bat decal on a t-shirt, etc.)

Dog toys I found at the store (although I think cats would be more prone to catching and playing with a real live bat than a dog would be!)

Hey all, good work scavenging so far! We have some updates about this activity tonight: the dates for each round have been pushed back by one day, which you can see in the thread's original post. The next round will start on the 22nd.

Each round lasts about 2 days, but this first round will have some extra time since so many activities started simultaneously. Each round's post that contains the list of items will include the end date and time. This current round will end on October 21st at 11:59 PM EST.

Here are my entries; I’m not sure if these will count:

Item 1: Portgas D. Ace figure that I won from One Piece Treasure Cruise giveaway.
These both appear to be more figurines than dolls. If you have something closer to dolls that can be used instead, we'll allow an edit to redo it, so please send me a PM if you decide to do that and I'll adjust the coins.

What is the exact deadline for this? @Oblivia
The round's post has now been updated with the exact end date/time (also see above).

Don't forget that all images should be included in the same post. This is because we'll be approving entries as they come in, so it would be better to wait until you have everything you want to submit for the round. Also, one of your submissions was missing a name tag. If you're able to fix the missing name tag, we'll allow an edit of the post, but please send me a PM so I can adjust the coin total.

See below from the first post of the thread for more details about this:

You MUST create a physical namecard of some kind with your TBT username written on it and this card must be present and clearly visible in each photo. Any photo submitted without a namecard will not be counted and will not earn Carnival Coins. Digitally adding your name to the photos does not count; it must be an actual piece of cardstock or paper with your username on it.
  • All of your photos must be submitted together in one post. If you submit multiple posts for the same hunt, only the first will be counted.
  • Do not edit your post or photos after submitting.

I wanted to ask before submitting: for item #3 (bat or bat imagery), I have a tokidoki figurine that has bat accessories on it, and I was thinking of taking a pic of one of the bats on it and submitting that. I've attached a pic of what it looks like so you can see.

would this be acceptable, or is it too small/not "bat" enough?

The creepy doll might be the nail in the coffin for me in this first batch. I went to my local comic shop and hobby shop today and they had nothing I could use. There were figures of dolls (like Chucky and Tiffany), but no actual dolls I could use.

The only doll in either of the two stores was a Mark Hamill doll...and I don't mean as in Luke Skywalker, it was literally just a Mark Hamill head on a doll with street clothes...and I almost thought that was creepy enough.

I'm not sure where you live but is there a general or grocery store near you? there may be a toy section

I have a doll made of velvet? Would that count me as a doll? It doesn't look like a real baby doll though.

But it is a human form and shape. I actually have two, could I send them to you so you can look?
