"Valeria! Be careful, you don't know what lies down here." he said. He looked over to Corinna and raised an eyebrow, and a slight pink shimmer went across his eyes. He dug in his pocket and pulled out the ruby. "See? It's safe." he mumbled as he tosses it in the air and catches it.

Zari quickly glances over at the new person. He seemed vaguely familiar, but he couldn't match a face with a name. He meets eyes with him for a couple moments and notices him getting uncomfortable. Zari reaches in his pocket for his sapphire, and absorbs a little of its magic, feelings it tense up his veins. He slowly wedges into the young man's conscious, until finally he breaks in, and sees a glimpse of his thoughts. Inquisitive. Zari blinks for a moment, and asks, "Hello? Are you lost?"

"Zari. This is serious. I need that gem, it needs inspection. It's deadly. Did you see Opal? She nearly dies. Since she isn't human, the ruby didn't have an effect. You can die!"

Valeria saw Zari. "What? I'm trying to get us out of here so we can get rid of the enchantment! It's a bad enchantment.", she responded. "I'm giving up, so give me that ruby!" Valeria grabbed the ruby from Zari and touched it. She immediately passed out.

She was walking through the town Armideave, she saw a little garden, Hmm maybe I should check it out? She went through the garden and saw a little shed. She opened the door and saw people in it.

"Huh?" Valeria said. "Who are you?" She asked the new girl, whom she'd never seen before.

"Oh, um.." Amethyst Stuttered. "My name is Amethyst.." She replied. "Why are you all hiding in this little shed?" She asked.

"Well, we kinda found this random shed and there was a hole and a ruby with dark magic and..."

"Yeah, what she said."

She looked wide eyed. "A ruby with d-d-dark magic?" She questioned.

Yeah, there was also some spooky figure before or something. This garden is probably haunted or something.
I recommended we smash the stone to get rid of the dark magic, but no one wants to listen to me, unlike they should. Hmph.

Opal

"Wouldn't smashing the stone just have the darkness escape into the world?"

Tyla

"Whatever. Why don't we just throw it out and be done with it??" Tyla walked out of the shed to see a pond nearby. "Who has the stone now? Tell them to drop it in here!"

"I do!", Valeria exclaimed. "I have the stone!" She dropped it into the place Tyla said to.

As soon as the ruby was dropped into the pond it exploded and the water turned into a murky purple. "Shoot, now what, is the pond cursed or something?"

"Well at least that's over with... I think."

She quickly followed the others. They seem like interesting people. She stared at the murky water.

He looked quickly up at the male who'd spoken to him, taking a second to scan his face. He smiled awkwardly and shrugged, slightly mumbling something that was inaudible. Realizing that he hadn't actually spoken, he bit his lip with embarrassment and shook his head, the blues of his gaze softening.
"Not exactly... I came here thinking you guys were stuck and needed help. I apologize if I intruded.."
He was nervous. This wasn't exactly his forte. He wasn't good at making friends and knew that this other guy would probably just be creeped out... Oh, this was going terribly.​

Zari nodded to the young man, "It's alright, you meant no harm." he murmured. Zari went out of the hole and to Valeria where she threw the ruby into the pond. He kneeled over and looked into the murky purple water. Sitting at the top, was the ruby, shattered and in a faded red shade. He reached for a shard tentatively, but held his hand in mid-air, and spun around, "Wait... why was I not affected when I held it?" he asked. He knew the only way to keep up the ruse is to fake ignorance.

The murkiness began to dissolve and in a few seconds the water looked like regular water, except for a few shattered fragments of the ruby were floating in it. "Do you think the water is safe to drink from now? I'm thirsty."

Opal

"Uh... I don't reccomend that. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it still isn't there. But I am hungry. Why don't we get out of here and get something to eat?"
