Mafia TBT Mafia III: The Murder Before Christmas [Game Over/Town Win]

Karla: At this point in time, do you think it's safe to say that a vote for you as Mayor is a vote for Blu Rose's lynch?

No, it's too early. Besides, I've already mentioned that I want town to agree on the first lynch.

Interesting. You seem quite adamant at the moment that Blu Rose is scum.

I'm a bit suspicious of Karla, but hey, the mafia could be anyone.
We need to keep our ears sharp and our eyes open.
Even in Karla is mafia, he is the best candidate for this election. His promises sound sincere. If he is scum, he is doing a good job hiding it. (I remember I said that to iLoveYou and she was scum...)

Anyways, there is no need to point fingers, Blu Rose AND Karla. You are acting very aggressively towards Blu when she accused you of being mafia. Why so mad? So desperate to prove that you aren't? Are you hiding something?

Blu, it is the first day.
And who is this mysterious someone?
Listen...I know you are a new player, and are pretty bad at the game, BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE. I learned that last game. At least TRY to contribute. Any info is good, as long as you have hard, supporting evidence. It's just like am essay. JUSTIFY WHAT YOU THINK!

I'm not pissed because I'm being accused. I'm pissed at the manner in which I'm being accused. Read Blu Rose's posts. What new information has she brought to the table? In all of her posts, what has she actually said? Nothing. To make it even worse, she has absolutely no confidence in what she is saying. How is that beneficial to town whatsoever? Note the multiple apologies, excuses, and overall meek tone. Newer scum players will try to emphasise their inexperience as a way of overcompensating. Think about this from the angle of being a townie: why would you want to say all this? What's the point in painting yourself to be some noob who is probably wrong and shouldn't be listened to? If you want to be of use to the town, apologising a bunch and acting all sorry for doing nothing wrong is hardly going to make yourself listened to. In fact, it will make people ignore you instead. That would be great for a Mafia who wants to hide though, wouldn't it?

Goodnight everyone. I look forward to advancing the discussion beyond why I shouldn't be elected because I COULD be Mafia. Also looking forward to reading some posts by people who haven't had a chance to post yet.

Actually...that makes a yon of sense.
She does seem like scum, but it may be the noobishness showing, like with me.
We could lynch her tomorrow...but we only have a small chance of hitting red.

Good night c:

This election either makes or breaks the game. Currently, I have mixed feelings about Karla. I understand why he may look like scum with how much he's pushing to become mayor and how quick on his feet he was to get his speech in the moment the game began. I also understand why he's doing what he's doing though. If you hosted the last two Mafia games, and is the most experienced player here wouldn't you want some sort of security to stay in the game? Everyone should assume Karla is number one on the Mafia hit list.

It's still early, but I'm leaning towards Karla getting an elected role. There's no way we can tell who's Mafia and who's not. Just like the first lynch this election is going to be a huge hit or miss. Karla knows the strategies, he knows the weight of town roles, blue roles, and mafia roles. I expect him to be smarter than to put himself on the spotlight knowing Mafia roles are going to need to push themselves in the election to have a chance at winning this game. He's trying to prove himself to you because he needs this role just as much as mafia member.

If there is a chance that Karla gets elected and turns out to be scum... that's where I come in. To be honest, I'd prefer the role of Sheriff over Mayor. As many of you may know I was killed night one of the previous game. Not because the Mafia was trying to frame someone for a reason behind my death, and not because I was the most important role out there (I was Miller, if they left me in the game the town would have probably lynched me anyways), but because they saw me as a strong player for the town. I will can analyze posts, I will study voting patterns, I will check on differences of activity. I do listen to what other people have to say through their opinions, but keep my final decisions my own. Just because I have an opinion on someone, doesn't mean it's set in stone. Last game, I never got the chance to show the town my full potential and this is my second chance if you all just hear me out. There are many promises I'd love to make, but I won't because I don't want to lie or disappoint all of you. It would look pretty bad on my part if I made all these promises to you now, and never fulfill them all with all the bumps along the way since the town will eventually turn their backs on me and have that reason to lynch me down the road. As a sheriff, I do plan on gaining the trust of my fellow town members. I don't mean I'm going to pester you to tell me your roles, tell you who to find suspicious, or make wild accusations without solid evidence. I plan on using private messaging to my advantage to talk with the town. I'll be watching how you word things, how you're changing your opinions, how you're doing things that people are finding suspicious. That way I can confront you, personally, on why you're doing what you're doing, and if it's just a misunderstanding I'll be there to guide you. I need to gain every bit of trust all of you have to offer, and that way, later on in the game, I'll be able to use any necessary pardons and incarcerations wisely. I want to help prevent the whole "well, this is going to be a huge hit or miss lynch" from happening. The Mafia can see everything we do. They will kill off the strong players, and leave the weak to bury themselves in their own graves. If necessary, I'm willing to dedicate my time to "train" those who need to cut the spam level down. Come to me if you need to voice your thoughts, opinions, and evidence but nobody will listen to you because they find you "suspicious" or "dumb". If you give me something I firmly believe, I'll make sure the town hears it out and post on behalf of you and help back you up or defend you. This will help us cut down on wasteful lynches. There are a few new players out there and some players other might consider "bad" due to their strategies or involvement with their game. We need to be alert and focus on the difference between a bad player and a scummy player. I truly believe I'm a strong asset to the town, and I'll do anything to make you all believe in me as well.

I encourage everyone to voice their opinions and ask me any questions while you have the chance. Thank you!

Laurina turn off the bold on your post omfg.

What, so you're saying "Vote for Karla so he can stay in the game and not get killed by the mafia"? If that what you're saying, then that's stupid. That's not a good reason to vote for someone.

Granted, Karla would be a good person to vote for, and it's who I'm considering (haven't made up my mind yet). If there's anyone who knows about how most of us play, it's Karla.

No, I'm not saying "Vote for Karla so he can stay in the game and not get killed by the mafia". I'm not telling anyone to vote for him, because I'm not sure where I stand with him either. I followed up with the reasons why he'd be killed by the mafia. If he is town like he claims to be he's going to be the biggest asset this game has to offer. He knows a lot of these players and how to act and react towards strategies, through struggles, and patterns. I think if he's as dedicated throughout the game as he is right now he'd be a nice fit in an elected role. He'd do well as Mayor, Sheriff, or a simple townie, but we do need someone who will lead and guide the town. Sure, I'm worried that he may be a little too experienced and will work in his favor if he's on the other team, but I do see him as a valuable player.

What do you mean by this? Karla's post is a big playbook of his idea of how the town should play this game. If elected, he definitely would be guiding the town. He puts more effort into his posts than any other player in this game so far. Also, if you're worried he may be "a little too experienced", I think it will be easy to tell once no one is hitting reds at night. Being at the level he is, he is bound to hit a good amount of reds just through his analyzing and suspicions. If that doesn't happen, we can easily find whether or not he is mafia. It's not like if someone is elected then their posts are free of analyzing. He may be a smart player but everyone makes mistakes.

Also, Tsundere, I am an awful player. I am just going to shut up. I jumped to a conclusion too quickly, and am over debate right now. Sorry... Completely ignore my posts! I didn't mean to be stupid!

This post also screams mafia to me. Apologies do nothing for us on Day 1, and makes it easier for him/her to be marked off as unimportant. Isn't that what a mafia would want to do?

What I like best about Karla?s plan is that it can be implemented regardless of trust. For anyone who doesn?t trust Karla they can safely withhold their role from him without harming the advancement of town as long as they communicate well with the rest of us. Rather than doubting Karla, I think that if we do choose to follow the plan then our concerns should instead be in the sensibilities of the medics and their ability to discern who is worth protecting. I?m hoping we have some clever medics.

On the other hand, I think our only real concern about Karla possibly being mafia is that he could already have a counter-strategy in mind. However, his asking for us to ?constructively tear apart? his idea makes it seem unlikely that he is mafia. I?d go further with this idea, but at this stage it would be like batting a ping pong ball back and forth across a table for six hours: utterly pointless. I think at the moment debating his innocence will get us nowhere. We should be looking at the other candidates and trying to see if there is anyone we think could lead the town either as well as or better than he could.

Trundle, Hikari, and Laurina have all put in bids. Hikari is the only one of the four people who have expressed interest in being mayor that I think is unsuited to the role. You?ve messed up before - how do we know you?ve learned from it?

If we voted Karla, how would the illiterate feel?

Besides, I have major trust issues after last game when the Mayor was mafia, the Sheriff was mafia, the Munchkins were mafia, Dorthy was mafia, the Scarecrow was mafia, the Lion was mafia, the Dog was mafia, the monopoly guy was mafia, Dan was mafia, the FBI was mafia, the creators of MLP:FiM were mafia, Karla was mafia, Forest Gump was mafia, Jeremy was mafia, the statue of liberty was mafia, Simba was mafia, the whole state of Florida was mafia, Asia was mafia, Neptune was mafia, the universe was mafia, Ketchup was mafia, Atoms were mafia, Applejack was mafia, Yugi Muto was mafia, the god cards were mafia, Zezima was mafia, Mewtwo was mafia, Zeus was mafia, Percy Jackson was mafia, Kayla was mafia, Gravity was mafia, Bidoof was mafia, haters were mafia, the spy was mafia, the Simpsons were mafia, Paul Walker was mafia, Physics was mafia, Drugs were mafia, every Disney movie in the Disney Vault was mafia, Andy Samberg was mafia, my nails were mafia, AIDs was mafia, the Internet was mafia, Females were mafia, Cameras were mafia, H20 was mafia, the ground was mafia, the post button was mafia, the Copy and Paste buttons were mafia, Lelouch was mafia, Clifford was mafia, the Burger King from Burger King was mafia, God was mafia, people with brown eyes were mafia, Mexico was mafia, Penguins were mafia, Bill Gates was mafia, Little Bill was mafia, Capcom was mafia, Google was mafia, Naruto was mafia, Sakura was mafia, Easter was mafia, Russia was mafia, Aliens were mafia, the border was mafia, the woods was mafia, Foxes were mafia, Shrek was mafia, Doge was mafia, the dead were all mafia, electricity was mafia, batteries were mafia, Snapple was mafia, the Assassins from Assassin's creed were mafia, Allen Walker was mafia, Brock was mafia, your bed sheets were mafia, our Skype chat was mafia, Windows 8 is still mafia, mafia was mafia, Waldo was mafia, Waldo's evil twin was mafia, FDR was mafia, BLTs were mafia, and Lauren was mafia.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.
When I said "he'd do well as Mayor, Sheriff, or a simple townie, but we do need someone who will lead and guide the town" I should have ended my sentence after townie and got rid of the but. I was leaning in favor of him being elected into being Mayor or Sheriff. He'd be someone who will lead and guide.

This seems to be the consensus so far: The more someone is trying to push a pro-town agenda, the more likely they are to be Mafia.

every Disney movie in the Disney Vault was mafia

Oh, you did not just go there.

It sure would be a shame if something happened to those tickets of yours Horus.

I think horus is mafia or has MAJOR trust issues to say that every disney movie was mafia
