The Anime Thread

I finished watching episode 11 of Sakamoto Days and was kind of disappointed that the ending left off in a cliff hanger. Not even that, it felt like it left off in the middle of an episode.

Has this always been a thing? I remember being disappointed with the ending of Dandadan and season 3, part 1 of Beastars because they did something similar.
Well I haven't watched any of these 3 anime yet but to attempt to answer your question, google says a part two of Sakamoto Days is scheduled to air in July 2025 so the anime isn't finished yet and that's probably why it ends in a cliff hanger. For Beastars the third and final season is split up into two parts "Final Season Part 1" and Final Season Part 2" the former of which aired in December recently and the latter has not yet aired so Beastars isn't fully finished airing either. For Dandadan google says Season 2 is scheduled to air in the summer of 2025 and the Manga isn't done either so the plotline of Dandadan isn't fully finished as well.
Hope this helps, like I said I haven't had time to actually watch any of these anime yet though Beastars has been on my watchlist for a while.

Thank you for looking up that information. However, my complaint was more about the format of the last episode for all three series. The pacing felt off in other words. I know that there are still more episodes to come.

The reason that I asked this question is because it reminded me of what a Youtuber said in one of his videos. That in the early 2000s, the last episode of animes would end in cliffhanger. However, they would do it in a way that felt messy and rushed. He used one of the Berserk adaptations as an example. Unfortunately, I don’t remember which one.

I was just curious if this was the norm format, and I just haven’t seen enough anime to notice it.

I came across the trailer for the series “The Summer Hikaru Died,” and it looks intriguing. I haven’t read the manga, but I will be checking out the anime once it releases.

The last episode of Zenshu came out recently. Did anyone else watch this series and if so what did you think? Without going into spoilers I found it somewhat confusing but it was just fine overall. I think a second season could be interesting but it's ok if it ends there.

i'm on inuyasha season 5 (eng sub) now!

I didn't expect to see Dororo on Disney+. It is more than a little gory.
Dororo was an amazing series but definitely had a lot of disturbing scenes, you have to be prepared for what is mostly an extremely dark story. But it was very interesting and had some good animation. I still like the opening.
Thinking of party is over, Solo Leveling season 2 ended recently and I'm going to miss it. Not sure when the next part will come out but it will probably be awhile. It was the most visually impressive anime I've seen so far this year. I have a few thoughts on the story but don't want to get too into it incase anyone hasn't seen the whole thing yet.

Whoever did the vocals for the opening has a very nice voice.

Up until Disney needed more money, they had a very family friendly image.
