So, I'm caught up now. I was gonna say Punchy has started to improve his gameplay from last game based on his first two posts but that went south quickly based on his interactions between Bianca. He's acting like he was last game but I can't tell if he is doing it on purpose (because his writing changed after those two posts) or he's just being punchy. It's most likely him being punchy though. Also, I'm not based that statement on the content of his reqs but the way he wrote it out, it felt more formal and less like punchy from the last game.

What I normally do with my reads is that I scroll all the way from the top to the bottom and make the reads as I go along (resulting in the huge wall of text). I never said that your content is too low or that you?re not up to my standard, as I?m not even that good at mafia in the first place. What I was meant to say is that the bandwagon was huge at the time and I didn?t like how many people were pushing that much on Antonio, I wasn?t being extremely defensive. I apologise once again if I sounded really mean.

ok i'm sry i am v sensitive, i apologise. i thought that was like ur complete read on me which i found unfair bc iirc i did admit it was weak and that it didn't mean much, just that i found it strange he didn't bother reading the player list. i have since defended antonio though and can understand why u thought it was bandwagoning bc i said myself he is an easy target. i am null on antonio. i think i was just trying to find signs of inconsistency in rq's as that's all that was rly discussed at the time leading me to question antonio but it wasn't a case or even a scum lean, just a weak observation

Dolby, Bianca, Heyden, and toads are my townleans. I guess I kinda townlean Ness too because he is usually town when he scumleans me. Jacob is my main scumlean. I am interested in Vanessa putting more of her opinions out there, almost feels like she is coasting right now. mog I am quite uncertain, I haven't played enough games with her. Most others I need more content from.

i'm absolutely not egging him on, i'm saying i'd rather him just his opinion on ness who is mature and old enough to take it now than to quit out a game?? i kept saying to him he can defend himself without being a dick, better to generate discussion than to have someone just drop out bc they're scared of a reaction tbh

I just reread the entire thread trying to comprehend what's going on a little more because I do actually feel a lot less progressive (?) and interested than normal. All that I've discovered is that there isn't actually real content here. Like half of every "red flag" has been META based and I know someone mentioned that already in the thread but I know from personal experience that META never works when it's just used alone. So realizing that I actually started seeing things a bit more clearly (IMO)


So these are my day one thoughts so far

This interaction is kinda telling for me personally and I know its gonna look bad but I actually really sense Bianca town because of it. In most of the games I've played advocating self Lynch literally never ends well in that person's favor and I feel like Bianca would know that. Clearly "sure why not" isn't as serious as a giving up sort of "Lynch me" but Bianca's intention with this post was carefree enough to not worry about actually getting called out for it ( I hope that translated well ).

Most subsequent reads on Bianca beyond that have been META reading on her attacking her tone. My memory is extremely horrible so I can't even add to her meta because I truthfully don't know her normal play style. I guess what I'm trying to say is it feels like META reading is driving so much of the content here. Its annoying, and I can feel her frustration


The above goes with a lot of people, So far I think ive seen some sort of meta analysis to help form thoughts on Bianca, Antonio, Trundle, mog, Ness, punchy just to name a few (I know I found some of those ppl sus, but it's because of other reasons, not just meta). It's all too prominent, and I think thats whats turning me off



AND THAT BRINGS ME to my next idea after realizing that, Antonio's scummyness (from how I defined it a while ago) has been dismissed because that's generally how he plays, and I decided to just kinda drop it because a lot of people were repeating that same notion. I think dismissing his very first few posts is a mistake. It's early in the game so I definitely am weary and am susing like way more than 4, but I think its better to question than to town read someone for the benefit of the doubt. Regardless if people sometimes dont know who's on the playerlist, thats not something to look over just because.

I read a LOT about Trundle and Ness. In response to some people thinking they were fake almost, Ness's posts looked genuine to me for some reason. Trundle not so much, but he's been nailing into our heads this isn't his normal gameplay so whatever. No way they're maf together

I feel like Chele is the most town because from what I've seen they're pushing with some good in game evidence, not a lot of meta which is the easy route in this game right now

While I personally don't think I've been coasting (this is the most active I've been in recent games) I've mostly been focusing on you and Bianca because I haven't found anyone else's content very telling. For what its worth I'm currently townleaning Mog (she really is acting completely different from her recent scum and TP games) and Punchy (tentative but we seem to be on the same wavelength). I'm sure a lot will happen tonight so tomorrow I'll hopefully have more to say on more people

Ok after reading up more on the thread and seeing your interactions, I can definitely see where you're coming from and retract my charge/hypothesis. It's all in the mafia business, you know. No hard feelings I hope.

This thread is really much ado about nothing atm and I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm going to try and put up some more coherent thoughts later.

Mafia's #1 priority on day one is to ensure that people aren't being confirmed so quickly, I noticed that trying to deconfirm town is kind of an unconscious thing scum does early bc they're paranoid of a narrowing scum pool.

This is where you and I differ I guess because I would think that mafia's #1 priority is to confirm everyone so they can kill or get close to the powerroles. But looking at your perspective, that might be applicable if it comes down to day 3 or day 4 but early in the game, mafia, I think will try to sniff out who's just vanilla or powerrole.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that while I still think Trundle is suspicious (I meant it when I said that he wasn't being helpful) and I disagree with his read on Temptations (and to a point I disagree with his some ofhis reasoning on the Jacob read, but I'll look into Jacob later), I don't think he should be the lynch for today. He looks a lot better to me now after that emotional reaction than he did earlier (which could have been intentional to make me back off him, but I don't think so).

Bianca really isn't as suspicious as everyone seems to say she is, I don't really see much that is too AI with her posts. It's not really helpful in what she's doing but it kinda feels like typical Bianca to me. I'm open to the idea of her being the lynch today if no one better can be decided but it really looks like the only reason Bianca is suspicious right now is because of meta from a while back, and it has been a year since anyone played mafia to be fair.

I personally don't really like Punchy's posts at the moment. I mainly don't like Punchy because he has kind of just jumped on this whole "lynch bianca!" bandwagon without much of a reason. These posts rub me the wrong way:

I'm suspicious of everyone as always. I don't like townleaning people when its not clear who is who. I will state when I see something suspicous.

I'm not talking about confirming roles, I'm talking about people townreading each other early into the game. The more correct general townreads there are, the worse it is for mafia. You putting up this 'cautious' image of question why people are townreading others so easily while you're not apart of it kinda indicates something more imo.

Also why do you have such an urgency to '##vote: lynch inactives?'. You're unsure of who is inactive so you just say inactive? lmfao Or are you just placing votes to mimick your past behaviour in games.

In the previous game (that just happened), Punchy (who was town) based some of his opinions on what others people said. I pointed it out throughout the game. One example is when punchy followed along with Dolby on a Dad lynch. Dad was scum and so was Dolby in that game. Punchy jumping on a lynch isn't really a scum/town proof (from my observations, atleast) but I can totally see how it rubs you the wrong way.

Tbh, he's acting like how he acted in the previous games. I don't think he's doing it on purpose, either.

No ones saying mafia is not Vanessa, no one cares at this point bc she can't be lynched. And she brought up your meta probably bc she thought you were scummy, and wants to provide information unlike you rn.
