How inspired by ACNH do makeup looks have to be? Mine's inspired by a character's theme and the general outline of their features but not as directly as some looks. Is that ok or should I redo it?

It sounds like your look is still inspired by an Animal Crossing character in some way so that would be fine. This is partially what the 'inspiration description' requirement is for so you're able to briefly detail that. It does not have to be a direct representation of the character.

I have some question about the cosy photo challenge #7. I have been looking to the real sky and have taken several pictures but when I go to look at the image the picture does not show what I saw and it looks like a big blob. The second I reach for my name tag, it's even worse then before since the cloud has started to unraveled itself and moved on. Could I please have some suggestions on how to take a picture have it look right and then get one with my name tag. I hope that makes sense.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

for the final cozy photo contest, what if we're unable to find a cloud? i live in a place thats currently very heavily affected by wildfires + smoke, so i can't see any clouds. i'm not expecting it to clear up before the fair ends.

It's fine if the cloud has started to unravel as long as it's clear that the photo with your name card was taken at the same place and time. You may have one photo with your name card and one without.

As for trying to get a decent shot of the cloud itself, I'd recommend trying to capture a photo when the sun is peeking from behind the clouds as it may help define the shape(s). Having something study (a 'makeshift' tripod) or an actual tripod as opposed to holding your camera up yourself would be helpful too.

This is correct. Staff favourite tickets (and the animated shooting star collectible) will not be distributed until after all of the events have closed.
