Is anyone else excited to see what they do with the patterns and design systems? New Leaf gave you very few designs per character and the canvas (with the grid enabled) was like, 32x32. Seeing that the Switch is a massive touchscreen itself, and due to the possibility of more slots per character, I think we could see some really amazing works.

I'm just worried because I don't know how we'll share patterns. Is there a QR reader on the Switch?

I hope that the game has a stylus that comes with it specifically because of patterns.

If they do increase the resolution for the custom patterns I really hope that you can still make them with the smaller grid because I liked making mine pixel perfect. Making them from scratch at high resolutions will take looooooong

I'm intrigued of the idea of being able to make custom backpacks and purses now that we have those! My main desire is for more slots however. It was never enough in new leaf.

I'm glad they brought back the patterns. I loved designing in New Leaf and can't wait do some in NH. I'm hoping I can design more detailed ones so they stand out. I'm excited to see what I can do. :)

I wonder how the designing will work. Perhaps motion control with the Joy-Con in addition to regular joysticks? Touchscreen would be nice too but with my sausage fingers I'd probably color a whole blob at once!

They'll probably have a database where people can upload and download patterns with switch online. Or at least that's my hope. It would be nice to have patterns all in one spot so you don't have to hunt across a million different websites

I wonder if pixel designs will stay. Everything looks so sharp and smooth so having a pixelated design feels a bit out of place unless making pixel art of course.
