Is anyone planning to check out WarioWare for Switch?

The only WarioWare game I've played was the GBA original, back when it released in 2003. I remember being very confused by it at the time and didn't really care for it, but now that I understand what it's going for, I have a lot more fondness toward the series.

It looks like a great multiplayer game, but I'm wondering if the single player will have any replayability? I'm interesting in picking it up, but seeing as I mostly playing single player, it looks like it could become stale after a few hours.

Thoughts?

i've played the demo, and my girlfriend and i both plan to get the game on launch day!

it's fun, and even the demo alone has had replayability for me so far, but i'm one of those people who always wants to beat my highscore on games like this. i will admit that i preferred the DS and Wii versions with their touchscreen minigames (i know the Wii didn't have a touchscreen, but the remote served as a wireless stylus) to this iteration's character gimmicks. some of them really suck (namely the guy who's stationary) and it can be hard to remember each gimmick, especially as the speed increases exponentially around the 40 mark and especially if you're playing with all 6(?) characters instead of a chosen team of 3. of course that may be the point since it's supposed to be a challenge, but it is harder to remember the character gimmick + controls and concentrate on beating each minigame than it was to just do the latter. some of the characters also don't really suit certain levels that well either tbh. for example, in my opinion, the stationary guy sucks on the escape level, especially at a faster speed, and the jumping ninja girl sucks with most of the levels since she's hard to control. (again, mainly at a faster speed.) it leaves a sour taste in my mouth, at least, when you lose a life or the round because the game selects a character poorly matched to the level you get.

that being said, it's still fun! i can't wait to get it and try out multiplayer with my girlfriend. so far my favorite character (gimmicks wise) is the little martial arts guy followed by wario and the girl on the scooter. (although i always forget to press A again to bring back her boomerang.) they've been my go-to team of 3 so far.

I'm planning to buy it, not on release day but sometime later as I'm currently on a break playing with the Switch in general. I'm a huge fan of the WarioWare games and was very happy when the game got announced back then. Looks so far pretty good.

I’ve played a WarioWare game several years ago and I just couldn’t get into it. I got it for free after a buy one get one sale with GameCube games. I picked up Mario Party 5, but picked WarioWare as my free one. I didn’t find the appeal, and was more interested in Mario Party 5. I may find appeal in it now because it’s been about ten years, but I really can’t justify spending $50+ on a WarioWare game.

I'm also planning to get it - I've played the demo and loved it, so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the full game. As others have pointed out, at its best it's a great multiplayer game but I also love it as a single player experience. For me the replayability comes from trying to get high scores on the various modes (much like the mode that's available in the demo).

I've played a few different games in the series, but I think my favourite has to be Twisted on the GBA. At the time it was very difficult to get (it was never officially released in the UK), but once I got my hands on it I loved it. Thinking back now, you can kind of see how the Wii was, in many ways, quite similar to how Twisted worked.

I played warioware a ton on the DS and I thought it was really fun. I think the touch screen definitely was great for this style of game, but the switch demo seemed fun so I might pick the game up eventually

I might wait for a sale for this game. I love the WarioWare series, but the games rarely have enough content to warrant the price. WarioWare Gold on the 3DS can be finished in a few hours and it was a full $40.

I've never played a single WarioWare game in my life but I would like to give it a try, I'll have to download the demo sometime and if it's good, I'll buy it when it comes out

I honestly don't plan on getting it solely because there are so many Switch games that I want a lot more like Mario Party Superstars, Brilliant Diamond, Zelda BOTW, Luigi's Mansion 3, etc.

I really like WarioWare but oddly enough the only games in the series I've played are Twisted on the GBA and DIY on the DS, both of which I own and very much enjoy. if there's a demo for the new game I might have to give it a try.

There is a demo, I just tried it out and honestly I really liked it so I recommend trying it as well. I'm also hyped for the new Mario Party and Pokémon games, those are an absolute must for me as well

It looks interesting, but not like something I'd play, unfortunately. Plus, I already have too many other games I'm playing and upcoming games that I'm looking forward to.

Bought the game today. I will share my thoughts once I get enough time in! I was a very late starter to the WarioWare games so seeing this new one come out and in a new way to play co-op is exciting!

I enjoy the WarioWare series and have played 4 of the games from the series (the original, Touched!, Smooth Moves and Gold), with Touched! being my favorite of the 4. I played it a ton back in the day, lol. I was excited to see them announce the latest game and I think it looks good, though I'm skipping the demo and won't get it yet, but will sometime in the near future.

Played it for a few hours and I am definitely enjoying it so far. My experience has been purely co-op so I can't speak for single player just yet. Story is super short like you'd expect, but it has replay value to unlock all the microgames and get higher scores. Lots of unlockables in the game for characters as well. You can get customizable colors and artwork for them by giving them gifts. There's a lot of different modes both single and multiplayer you can play, very diverse and creative. Some modes are definitely better than others and are best meant to be played with a friend. There's a ton of different characters with different playstyles which makes tackling the microgames more challenging. I haven't touched the rank mode yet so I'm not sure what that's like.

I was able to use a gift card from a friend to get the game and love it 10/10
It’s so delightfully weird, but it’s such a great game for pick-up play. I’ve been more casual lately so that’s a great perk of it in my opinion. It’s the perfect digital game!

I bought the full game at work today and it is SO FUN!! I've only been playing it on single player mode but I really like all the characters and it's exciting, I'm definitely hooked and might have to try out the other WarioWare titles as well

I'm interested in it but I think $50 is a little too steep for what you're getting to me.
I'd probably have bought it at $40 so hopefully it goes on sale relatively soon

Yeah, I'm hoping it will be $10-$20 cheaper when holiday sales start rolling around in late November. I'm not sure how long it would need to be out before Nintendo starts discounting it.

I've had fun with all the WarioWare games but it's never been something I feel the need to seek after. These games are mostly impulsive purchases for me.
