Yes, we plan to carry those over into future events. In fact one of those ideas has been adapted for use in Part 2 of our Halloween event!

Even if he didn't want to add ingredients to the cauldron without photographic evidence (we don't have a list of who received what unfortunately) there shouldn't be any reason you can't use your thickener because everyone received one.

Dang, lots been happening since I've been here! I am loving the color of the potion right now, though; I think I'm more eager to see what item ends up being used since it's slightly more unpredictable right now 
Also, it might have been said but I haven't backread everything, what happens if there's a tie on the items like we have now? Since there's 2 of a lot? (I figure thickeners will be used by the end, but I'm curious what would happen if there WAS a tie? XD)
I will say I was here pretty early on when people were just receiving packs and I still definitely did feel like a color had 100% been decided which is why I ended up just dumping my crystal and thickener ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't think anyone's particularly vying for a crystal being on the bottle but I also think it might look nice if we end up with the blue/teal color at the end

I thought to suggest, but do you think we can have a tally of the items or ingredients each one has? I'm especially worried about the items, since I'm afraid the item we might end up picking will have a different vibe from the potion color (I imagine moth wings to go with warmer colors, mermaid scale to go with pastel colors, wisp tears or crystals to go with coolor colors, etc.). Especially since not everyone has their pack yet, I'm sure there'll be cool items down the line once people start receiving theirs in mail.
Personally I don't think we should jump straight to using our thickeners for the items as well; we should probably reserve thickeners for the colors? If we're still wanting to drive the color somewhere else, that is. But that's just me maybe. ^^;

i'm good with waiting : ) did anyone mention a closing date? i think as long as we're all relatively active in the last couple of days it will be fine, no point rushing to put things in if we're still deciding on a direction. (if we are deciding on a direction that is... lol)
Vrisnem's post a while back shared the items we might not have known about yet! At least I think it includes ones people have not posted about? I don't think we have heard about sleeping powder yet for example.
I agree that colour having higher priority for most is a good plan, but inevitably we will need to use some thickeners to make sure one ingredient overpowers the others, as you said perhaps we could wait until nearer the end. On the other hand, maybe getting some thickeners on one item could help us come closer to deciding the colour overall! So it all depends on what people feel like really. I don't think either option is a bad one!

The first post has been updated! Also, we a few other things worth mentioning tonight. First is that we have until Halloween day at 12:00 PM EDT to finish creating the potion. I previously said Halloween night, but this was changed to coincide with the end of Part 1 of our Halloween events. Also, just so everyone is aware, while we are still requiring everyone to post a picture of their two ingredient cards, we are making an exception for @Katzenjammer due to the reason posted yesterday. Thanks!

Question to the group, did you guys want me to add green colour to add a bit of mermaid look to it? If not, I’m gonna add my Crow’s feather to it.
It was also my intention to thicken the mermaid scale since I really like the idea of the mermaid themed potion.
Let me know as I would like to cast my votes and items by Monday (as I will be busy during the week and might not be able to participate)

I would personally like this! If we are going with a green-bluish mermaid tint I can also add my white dye to make it more soft-looking. Adding green would make it like this ███ #449194 and adding green and white to the current color would make it look like this ███ #50989A
I also tried looking into adding white + 2 greens to make ███ #4B9A91 which i feel looks more mermaid-y? If we are steering towards a mermaid theme :]
As always, I feel we should wait for a bit and see if anyone has contentions c: I'm really down for anything!

I think this is a good idea, especially since I'm not quite sure when to use what at this point. I'll enjoy whatever people come up with, and am not particularly partial to any specific color. I admit I am partial to arachnids, though, as you might have guessed.

hello!! i took a break to look over what i did and i feel awful, i was pushy, i never meant to hurt anyone! i just got a bit excited about the potion and lost track of what exactly i was saying. either way that doesn’t justify it. sorry again! i really do feel super bad. okie doke, i just wanted to get that out there!
anyways, turns out im rlly stupid and i had my cards this entire time. they fell out of the letter when i opened it and my cat sat on them, so then i thought i never received them -_-

- Masquerade Mask
- Spoiled turnip

I’m unsure of what our current theme for the potion is? so ping me if u need any of my stuff! if we are still thinking about making it duller to change the color, or just making it duller in general, my magenta may help? idk

i would really like to stay more on the blue side than green at least for my taste. if i add two more cyan it would look like this ███ but i also like the mermaid theme so i could also thicken the mermaid scale and only add one cyan which would look like this ███

I like the one with two cyan, personally! I think @corlee1289 mentioned that they might thicken the mermaid scale with their thickener so that would bring our tally of scales up to 3, which would put in the top spot at the moment. (If I'm reading correctly. It's very late LOL) And that could leave you free to put in two cyans, if that's what you prefer?
Honestly I'm okay with wherever the potion goes, color or item wise!! But I also just wanna say that Halloween is fast approaching and I'm worried people might be waiting to add items in and then end up forgetting or missing out with timezones and stuff! (I'm saying this because this is. exactly what I would absolutely do >_<)

Yeah, right now I’m getting a yay and a nay for the green colour addition. But I’m going to be casting my vote before the end of the day as I feel like it’s getting dragged on. Because I think the staff said you can also do what you want with how the potion is going.
I personally quite like a mermaid theme by adding a little bit of green to it, it won’t distort it but at the rate we are currently at, we can’t get a full blue potion. Also, I really liked @glow mock up potions that were shown. At least we’re not getting a brown goop ;3
I’m definitely going to use my thickener to up the mermaid scale so that it’s the stronger ingredient out of the list.

(For those who are unhappy with my selection. It appears there were some who liked the green and some who didn’t. But this is a collective potion that we the users made and supposed to be a fun experiment for us to do. It was getting to a point for me where I was wondering if I should or shouldn’t add those ingredient, but it was starting to drag on a little bit too long for me and making me feel like I was trying to make everyone happy.
