Were you able to pre-order the themed switch?

I honestly wasn't expecting there a lack of inventory or it just simply selling out/becoming unavailable so fast!
I never got a switch because I wanted to wait to get a themed switch, now they've released it and it's a high chance I'll be getting a normal switch anyway lol!


Has anyone been lucky enough to score one?
Or on you on the same boat as me lol


I'm still more hype for the game than the actual themed switch, so it doesn't hurt. All else fails I'm most likely getting a black switch and making it cute ^-^

I pre-ordered a ACNH themed Switch from Gamestop a few days after we first heard about it.

I've had my pre-order in since January 30th. Combine that with a pre-order for the game with journal, the white with green leaves case, and the guide book, and I am one happy camper.

Only thing left to do is pre-install the digital copy next Friday, and I'll be ready to go.

I got the themed switch!
I was waiting for my family members to get it for me for my birthday. But since I’m paranoid and didn’t trust them to get it before the sold out, I actually bought it just in case.
I’m soooo happy I did that.

Unfortunately, I guarantee a lot of scalpers ordered a ton of them. I saw a third-party listing on WalMart for 700$, seemingly coming from some random 'company' that had no search results.

P.S. $700 is almost twice the price of a regular Nintendo Switch in my country.



Other than that, I never bothered ordering one since I already own a Nintendo Switch.

i preodered the ACNL switch...the game with the journal....the switch white and green case...and the kk slider pro controller...also the guide book so im good to go!!! but you are asking this on an AC forum where ppl were ordering the second it went live..so i bet there is alot more ppl on ur side of the table than are showing here..Someone in another thread ill see if i can find it mentioned an app you could download where you put in what ur wanting and the stares you want it at and your location and it sends you a notification when its in stock maybe that would help

Yes - I waited to see whether Nintendo would release a NH switch because Animal Crossing will probably be the only game I play anyway so it wasn?t worth me buying the switch beforehand. As soon as I saw the AC themed switch had been released in the UK I pre-ordered it (and I bought the cute carrying case too)

I did! I didn't really expect it to sell out either, and I wanted to make sure I really wanted it, so I didn't preorder it immediately-- February 1st, but that's still pretty early. I'm sorry you weren't able to get yours in. Hopefully if you live near a store that stocks them you'll be able to pick one up!

Also I'd keep an eye out probably starting early next week-- I've seen people who have multiple preorders who are either going to cancel one when the other ships or are going to sell it for regular price (plus the cost of shipping) to those who couldn't get a preorder in. Just something to think of for those of you still interested.

Even though I didn't want one, I did keep track of them in most stores for my area. Most sold out entirely withing 12 hours, beside WalMart which took 20 hours to sell out completely.

I per-ordered mine from Game (UK) at the start of February! I?m so excited to get it, I was scared it would sell out but I think they?re still in stock over here. I got the bundle so the game will be coming with it c:

Not entirely terrible. Nintendo charged more for the bundled system, and won't release it until the 20th. We get ours on the 13th (though will have to wait a week on the game), and can choose between digital and physical.

I bought the bundle and it gets dispatched on the 18th so will arrive before the 20th hopefully!
