I loved seeing people post their prize packs.

I didn't participate in the event, but I was getting a sort of second hand happiness from seeing the photos.

My cookbook arrived today!

The hardcover is a lot thinner than the spiral bound but it still is nice. It doesn’t have as many recipes as I thought it would (only covers a couple arcs; I’m hoping they’ll release another one). I love how it includes some excerpts from the manga in it, like the panels showing Luffy and Blackbeard’s reaction to the cherry pie they ate in Loguetown . There is an onigiri recipe! I’ve been interested in trying them since I read the Fruits Basket manga in high school. It sounds so delicious.

@KittenNoir shared me some funny cat memes that made me laugh a lot. I really needed it!

My mom just came home and made the chicken salad; she put lots of grapes and celery in it just the way I like it .

I had a bit of unexpected but pleasant mail arriving today! I received a storyboard for this short stop motion film called Root Note. I supported it on Kickstarter and I totally forgot about the reward until now. It’s pretty cool to have something like this!

☾ I got my second player character, based on my lovely Rune Factory 3 wife, Shara, set up on my ACNH island today!! ;v; My goal was to complete the initial 5000 Nook Mile home payment and start on the first home upgrade, and earn enough Nook Miles on top of that to access Pro Designs so I could use a recreation of her dress, and to unlock the extra hair colors so I could get a closer match to hers, and I was just able to do all of that before it got too late in the evening!

☾ My parents and I watched SmallishBeans’ Minecraft Guess the Build episode this evening!! It was both funny and also really wholesome ahahah

☾ I was able to afford my highest priority mushrooms from this event!! ;w; I finally have the full set of Mushroom Lamps, the new Glimmer Shroom, and a Blue Famous Mushroom on top of that!!

I went to the craft store today, and they had some easels clearanced out, so I finally bought one! I've been wanting one forever so I don't have to paint on the floor LOL

I created a new guild in Cookie Run: Kingdom and I just got done decorating it. I LOVE how it turned out!

I decided to restart my second island and I got Frobert and Muffy as my starters . I’m really happy about having Frobert since I’ve been interested in him since HHD.

I’m happy I was able to get all the collectibles that I wanted from the mushroom event and a bit more. I’m really happy that my collectible collection is getting a little bigger now .

@KittenNoir put a message on the mushroom lamp that I traded for that made me laugh. I really needed it today and it helped along with the car meme pictures that she sent me earlier .

I’m feeling a little bit more better than I was earlier. I’m still a bit anxious about a few things, but not as bad. I’m hoping tomorrow will start better.

i'm not an amazon buy-er much, but my dad told me about their electronics deals today and i was able to score a CPU for 73% off. i can upgrade my PC, hopefully it'll stop the random stuttering! excited to get building again!!

Been enjoying the autumnal vibes around me lately, i live across from some pretty trees and see them turning orange outside my bedroom window everyday

Happy to have 2 days off work bc i am getting truly tired of it hahaa

Going out for dinner for my grandad's birthday tomorrow, i think at the exact same place we went last year (i guess he has a favourite). It will be nice to see him and my aunt and her family again, i've been so busy i haven't seen them in a long time

Today's been pretty good! Work went smoothly and now I'm off until Thursday. Glad to have a day of rest when I need it. Planning on catching up on some video games, taking care of a couple things, and just relaxing. The weather outside is also sunny and beautiful, which I love to see.

Also started getting back into ACNH again. It's currently spring on my island, and I have some plans for things I want to improve for it!

I'm officially 10 days out from vacation! I am SO burnt out from work, and the break is MUCH needed.

It's also FINALLY going to start cooling down next week! I am very, very ready for the fall weather, and can't wait for summer to end!

☾ I worked on my ACNH island some more today! I’m trying to decorate my beaches a bit more since they’ve probably been the emptiest part of my island for a while now, and I want them to be interesting too ahaha

☾ My cat, Rat, has recently started giving me hugs?? It is the sweetest thing ever oml

☾ I brought out my spooky plushes to start decorating for Halloween!! The temperature has finally dropped a little, so I’m feeling more in the Halloween spirit!

☾ And speaking of, my mom gave me a really cute orange Halloween sweater ;w; It has little ghosts carrying books on it… there’s a BOOk joke here somewhere

☾ My parents and I started watching Grian’s Minecraft Guess the Build video this evening!

☾ And I got to work on personal art for a bit while listening to some music!

I have had so much fun with the mushroom event and it’s been such a great distraction from the craziness and my high anxiety.
So happy to have gotten the collectibles I wanted.
We are as prepared as we can be for this monster of a storm.
Work was crazy but still good and a short day,
It was great that work sent out for pizza and also had cake.
Have been having fun working on some drawings and playing ACNH.

Time for a recap! I've been meaning to make a post in the past few days, but I somehow keep holding it off.

October 3, 2024 to October 7, 2024

• I got to experience more new things at work! I really appreciate my coworkers heavily assisting me and double checking after. It makes me feel comfortable learning them even though it'll take me a long time before I'll be able to confidently carry out tasks on my own. It's a great learning opportunity when things aren't busy.
• Participated yet again in more sessions of Among Us by @/Dunquixote! I can only remember a couple of moments such as always catching @/Halloqueen red-handed unintentionally (it's either she does really well as imposter or does really bad. There's no in between lol), and fixing all the wires horizontally... Twice!... In the same round! I wonder what the odds are to have that happen in the first place.

• The days are getting more cooler and humidity is nowhere to be found! Combined with sunny days, it's a great combo since I vibe better with cold temperatures than hot temperatures.
• The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 dropped recently. Admittedly, it was quite underwhelming with two cars being similar with the ones already existing in the game (and arguably the third one too). However, one car carried the update for me in my opinion and it was quite the interesting choice!

Let's cut to the chase. On the left is a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR and a 2024 Nissan GT-R Premium edition T-spec on the right. If the former was a Lancer Evolution VII that I saw over a week ago, it would've made the update a little more hype, but not by much... Just think of these cars as the equivalent to dozens Fire Emblem characters being added to Smash Bros., especially the Nissan GT-R lol.

Your eyes aren't fooling you. A 2016 Toyota HiAce Van DX has actually joined the roster! It's a totally unexpected addition and I fully welcome it. I love regular vehicles in video games and trying to pit them against sportier cars lol. Going off track for a bit, there's no way I'll see one here in Canada. In fact, I have a better chance of spotting one in the Philippines since they're so common there. When I go back to visit my relatives someday (don't know when, though) and happen to see one during my time there, I WILL let you guys know!

At the back of the HiAce, I noticed a bit of Japanese that I can't translate. Though judging by the number of 1200 kg, I'm assuming it has something to do with the max load limit? I'd love to hear someone try to translate this.

There's already a van in the game that's similar, but still pretty different in its own way. Sometime last year, a 2021 Toyota HiMedic was added to the game which I arguably find to be the wackiest vehicle.

I know three out of four vans in the entire game are Toyotas, but it's still hilarious to see them in the same race!

However, that's not the best part... If adding the HiAce to the game wasn't enough, that said van can be engine swapped to have over 1200 horsepower and be capable of reaching speeds over 300 km/h! Of course, due to the nature of never being built for racing in the first place, it handles horribly through corners and spins out easily if not careful. However, that did not stop me from embarrassing the likes of the Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari Enzo, and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) lol.

• While I wasn't able to participate in the mushroom event as much, I still managed to get two mushroom collectibles! It made me smile when the TBT community organized to buy a mushroom different from the rest to see if it's fortunate or unfortunate. It really shone in the last batch when there were almost 100 unique mushroom collectibles to buy, most that were poisonous! A necessary sacrifice that a lot of us made, but helped us gather the right mushrooms after.

October 8, 2024

• I got a really decent amount of sleep!
• I had a day off for the day, so no work!
• The weather was sunny! However, there was a short stint of rain lol.
• I went to the mall with my sister and looked around in a few stores.
• After looking around, I bought some food from Popeyes and Taco Bell for lunch!
• I played Gran Turismo 7 again and continued to have fun with the Toyota HiAce lol.

Some small things that made me happy today:

I made a lot of progress on the tutorial part of my second island. I got some random move ins for my other starters: I got Sherb, Annalisa and Apple . I’m happy to have Sherb becayse he’s one of my favorites. Also I’m happy about Apple; I’ve been a little interested in her since New Leaf . I’m not a big fan of the anteaters but I think I might grow to like Annalisa more. I think she has a pretty nice design .

Earlier Spanky snuggled with me under the blankets .

Todays been good!!

I had a presentation of my poster for my group assignment today! Me and the other two colour coordinated our outfits with the poster which was a lot of fun and got a few comments HAH

It was really chill actually, the demonstrator marking us was so nice we chatted to her for a little before we started, turns out she’s from Singapore, which is the country the study we were doing was based in! She was so nice and she helped with a little hiccup in the middle (someone who is not in our group anymore for reasons showed up unexpected) but I think we did really well. The peer presentation also went well, and the people were nice!

At the end we got pulled aside which made me fear the topic, but it turns out we got voted as the best poster group?? We got a little pin with the school symbol saying “virology [name] bragging rights” which was just so funny an unexpected?? I had a lot of fun chatting to people

Then me and the other two went to the city and got icecream together to celebrate! I got choc mint brownie which was nice just on my way back now, it’s been a lot of fun.
