today started out kinda bad but I have some things to be happy about anyways
★ despite having a rough morning, I managed to do a few things to enjoy myself. I took the day off from work because I knew that I wasn't feeling well, and it definitely helped. I went to the donut shop and got myself a boston creme donut, my favourite I've also been keeping myself comfortable, staying hydrated, staying warm. it's been difficult with my mental health, and now some other stuff going on (if ya know ya know), but I'm feeling okay right now.
★ I've slowly but surely been getting back into drawing, and I've done a lot of sketches recently. don't know when (or if) I'll turn all of them into finished drawings, but I really like how they've turned out! I'm excited to turn some (or perhaps all) of them into finished drawings eventually! though if my friends know me they know my track record in terms of finishing drawings I've started hsdjfkldg
★ got to chat with @/Drawdler a bit this evening after not having done so for a while
★ realized I mentioned the same thing twice oopsie so here I'll mention that I'm grateful for my dear and beloved friends, they make everything worthwhile
★ yesterday was Thanksgiving and while I really don't celebrate it myself, I still made the effort to make a batch of creamy chicken and noodles. I'm proud of myself because I actually marinated, baked, and shredded the chicken myself, instead of buying a can of pre-shredded chicken. I wish I could've made the egg noodles myself, maybe someday I'll invest in a pasta roller so I can make my own. but anyways, it turned out to be really tasty and I had some for lunch today!
★ this is something I'm very excited about, Flight Rising released a new ancient breed dragon a few days ago called a auraboa and I am obsessed omggg skdjfsk it's a snake bab!!
I already have a few in my lair, none of them have the genes they need yet but I have scries for all of them and I love them so much!! they've become one of my favourite dragon breeds now, along with the tundras and aethers, so I'm very happy to have them in my collection!
like I said, these are all scries for now so I don't have them just yet, but I'm working on it!

★ looking forward to spending my evening drawing and watching videos and chatting with friends. I'm particularly excited to watch the "Identifying Luck: Mario Party 8" video since I've seen all the other ones and I have fond memories of playing MP8 as a kid, and even recently. I have quite a few sketches I'm really happy about, and I always get so excited because the sketches look good but the line art always looks even better, so I know they'll turn out great!!
- I got to sleep in a lot again, which was much appreciated.
- I woke up and ordered groceries.
- I also got paid today!
- I participated in the TBT Smash friendlies! Admittedly, I forgot about it despite looking at it an hour or two beforehand, LOL. But I joined around 30 minutes in and had a lot of fun!
- Looking forward to watching more anime this weekend and sleeping a lot more!
☾ So so so excited about the new flowers and scenery collectibles, along with the other news and updates posted today!!! ;w; I love the flower collectibles so I went absolutely feral over the hyacinths and setting up possible lineups with them and the grassy/sky backgrounds—my tbt savings may have taken a massive hit but I am thrilled with my new bouquet!! Also crossing my fingers super hard on the raffle; I fell in love with the Key Lime Pie when it was released last year but wasn't lucky enough, so maybe second time's the charm! ☾ The first half of my birthday sticker haul arrived!! I ordered 100 from the seller (HypeRealm on Etsy!) but there were actually several extras, and I really loved pretty much all of them! ;v; The very few that weren't quite my aesthetic I've passed onto my dad so he can use them as prizes for his students, but considering this was a surprise pack, I'm really thrilled with all I got! I've already done some more decorating with some of them.

I think my mind needed a bit of a rest after last weekend/Thanksgiving hecticness lol, so it was a nice way to relax for a bit. I also saw LDShadowLady's last Secret Life episode with my family and it nearly had me in tears omg ☾ We had veggie sushi for dinner!! It's been forever since I've had sushi and oh man was it good ;v; The wasabi did make me cry at one point but that's still kind of invigorating!! ☾ And I did some grinding in Fashion Dreamer's solo mode for more unlocks I'm after! Still haven't gotten them yet but I'm getting closer! Probably!!
was debating on putting this in a huge long vent in the wby thread but i'm trying to see the positive and practice gratitude:
it's been a hell of a week omg. it started with something being wrong with my cat Luna's eye. it looked like it was bothering her and as the evening went on, it started looking cloudier and the whites of her eye were turning a red/pink colour. i rushed her to the pet hospital and had to wait there for a few hours but it seems it was just a mild eye infection? the doctor there was worried it could have been an ulcer but she did a couple tests on her eye and Luna was all clear! she's on antibiotics and a pain reliever medicine if it starts to bother her again.
basically all in all: i'm just so so happy her eye is improving and looking much better!
now i'm doing my best to enjoy the calm morning and catch up on some chores i didn't really have the time to do this week unfortunately after all the chaos at the pet hospital + me feeling under the weather
☾I am hanging out with some friends tomorrow. I don’t know what to expect but hopefully it goes well. This is the first time I’ve had effort put in from the other side. They initiated the request and brought it up last night to check if I was still interested. This is something I didn’t see happening in the foreseeable future, and to have it happen so quickly was awesome. To think I wouldn’t have met these people if not for my transfer since our schedules used to not line up at all. I had to sacrifice what I thought was good for me for something better. ☾The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Anaheim Ducks. I’m literally watching games this year like, “Is this even the same team from last year?” I don’t want to jinx anything, but this is a phenomenal team and I’m confident moving forward. ☾I wish I knew enby / transgender were a thing prior to last year. I think I knew but I never thought it could be me? That would explain my refusal to wear name tags at work and the fact that I would “pretend” to be a boy online but felt bad afterwards thinking I was lying. It feels surreal hearing people call me my name and pronouns, especially at work. That was the first time a job ever took me seriously. I love it.
- Today has been nice, sunny cold weather and I got to sleep for 10 hours!
- I made some more of my delicious brownies, I think my family are obsessed with them haha, they got excited to eat them again This time they came out with a crunchy, chewy exterior because I put the oven on the wrong setting for a while, but my mum said that it made them even better than before,,
- Last night I did some uni prep work for next week, excited to go in on Tuesday, I've missed it since I haven't been now for nearly 2 weeks
- My mum and I are going shopping tomorrow to buy some minor stuff for our trip to Germany
It was a beautiful autumnal day. Very frosty and minus 5 outside, but so crisp and refreshing with the most gorgeous sunshine shining through the bare trees. It was lovely to be outside this morning and breathe in the fresh cool air, but it was nice to get back into a cosy house!
Took Blossom’s sample into vets, and got results a few hours later by telephone. It looks as if her infection has cleared up, but the vet that will be performing the operation wasn’t in this morning. She will phone me on Monday just to confirm. Blossom seems to be back to her usual self, so I am happy with that.
I couldn’t believe it this afternoon, I was laying on the sofa and Blossom came up and lay beside me! She usually lays on my lap if I’m sitting down, but she hardly ever lays down like that! She was sleeping on me for over an hour. It was one of my favourite times with her so far. She was so cute just watching her snoring, breathing and every so often changing position and stretching. That really made me day!
Watched some more of the new series of ‘Two Doors Down’, still got two left but going to keep them until tomorrow.
Basically, today is one of those days I don't want to end, even although nothing major happened, it's the simple things and being with ones you love that make these days extra special.
i hope everyone who celebrated thanksgiving on thursday had a wonderful day, and that you all are having a blissful weekend so far!
☪︎ i spontaneously went out with my mom the other night! we went to pick up something that i wanted, drove around to look at christmas decorations, and then went to get milkshakes! i was feeling particularly depressed and anxious that night, and going out with my mom honestly made me feel a lot better. there’s just something about driving around and looking at beautiful christmas lights that is so soothing. i’m excited to go driving with her again once it’s closer to christmas and more people have their decorations up!
ִ ࣪𖤐 my parents and i ordered animal tracking bracelets! i’ve been so intrigued by them for eons now, and my parents and i finally decided to bite the bullet tonight and purchase one each! a portion of all proceeds goes to various wildlife organizations, so not only do i get a gorgeous new bracelet and an animal to track, it‘s also for a good cause! my mom and i both got shark bracelets, which donates to saving the blue, and my dad got a polar bear one, which donates to polar bears international! i’m so excited for the bracelets to get here, and so, so excited to have my own little shark buddy to track!!

𐦍 my dad gave me my christmas present early! i always ask for money, and this year he gave me $100! i’m so grateful!
☾ since the “you are my sunshine” ring that i ordered for my mom got stolen and i had to get a refund, she’s asked me to instead donate to an animal rescue that’s important to her in her name as her birthday/christmas present instead. i still feel so bad about the ring and am looking for something else to get her, but at least a donation is something i can do in the meantime that i know none of my dumbass neighbours can steal.
𖤓 i’ve finally started rewatching some of markiplier’s old videos! i used to watch him obsessively, but haven’t in years since losing interest in watching youtube in general. i’ve been talking about starting to watch him again, or at least his old videos, with @/Merielle, and i’ve finally gotten to it! i’ve mostly been rewatching his fnaf videos since that’s what i’m fixated on right now, but i’ve also been rewatching his rage game videos (specifically his getting over it videos)! i’ve been watching them while getting ready to go to bed; his rage videos definitely aren’t helping me sleep since i’m too busy laughing at him LOL, but it’s been so long since i’ve laughed so hard that i don’t even mind. i’ve honestly missed watching mark so much. i’ll eventually get to watching his newer videos (+ his lb videos since i promised meri!), but for now i’m having fun watching my favourite older playthroughs of his. c’:
☪︎ i received 69 bells nice from yesterday’s bell tree direct, and i bought a coco collectible from the shop! i’ve honestly been wanting a coco collectible for so long though i’m still unsure how i feel about the design change, i’m so happy to finally have one! lots of exciting announcements in the direct, i’m especially excited for this year’s christmas event and the hybrid breeding event next year!
It’s been a busy few days but they have been good. It was nice sleeping in on Thursday with lots of Aurora snuggles. It’s was great to see family for thanksgiving . Everyone had a great time. Had fun playing the ACNH turkey day event with my villagers. Me and Aurora had a nice nap when we got home.
Had to work the last two days and it wasn’t as busy so was able to get a lot done. Now things are more organized. Now that thanksgiving is over more people are starting to decorate for Christmas. It’s nice seeing the decorations while taking Aurora for her walks. I’m excited to decorate but won’t be until I go on vacation at the beginning of Dec. looking forward to some time off.
I am happy because it's been a nice, chill day. I've play some games, hung out with friends, and ate some good food. Nothing dramatic happened, just an even-keeled nice day. I've been through the ups and downs before, so it's nice to be able to sit back and just be at peace.
This morning, one of the lead actors from Hadestown came to my drama class! We had a Q&A session, he sang us a song from Shrek the Musical, it was great. And this afternoon, I went to go see Hadestown with my mom! (Thanks for the tickets, dad)
Andddd now I have to sit and wait until January when I can go see Mean Girls and spend even more money on merch.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner today. Usually I have mixed feelings about our cousins coming over, but they weren't really that bad. Also, it's nice to have it since it's been delayed for two days.
I missed posting yesterday, but I have quite a bit to be happy about.
- I was off work and got to sleep in.
- My mom's Christmas presents arrived and they look good!
- Yesterday was mostly about relaxing at home and I was glad for the break.
- My dog laid in my lap for about an hour while we were watching a movie. This made my day.
- I played more Kena: Bridge of Spirits. I'm working my way through the trials now before going on to complete the story.
- I spoke to my doctor and got my official diagnosis. Of all the things that could have been wrong, the results were a relief.
- We visited my husband's extended family today for Thanksgiving and had a great time. The food was delicious and my niece and nephews were there. I played with the two youngest ones on the haystacks and watched the three older ones play football with their cousins. I also got some ideas for Christmas presents for the kids.
- We gave our oldest nephew his birthday present and he loved it!
- I get to sleep in again tomorrow and go out to dinner with my family for a belated Thanksgiving.
I have a non-cancerous fibroid. I'll still need to have it removed because it's causing me a lot of difficulties, but it's not a serious threat.

Oh, no! I can't believe someone stole the ring you bought! I think a donation is so sweet, though. And I love your family's shark and polar bear bracelets!
There is a lot I am happy about, but I'm just happy that a family member who I never see except one time of year always tries to start an argument with me actually didn't try to this year. It was nice not having to ignore her because of bad behavior and it was nice not having her get annoyed because I wouldn't engage in her nonsense, because there was a lack of nonsense this year.
I just had to share because it was just so nice to not have controversial topics shoved in your face when it's suppose to be a one time a year family event.
