☾ Going to go help my grandparents super early tomorrow instead of this evening—I know I'm not going to enjoy waking up so early, but I'd much rather sleep in my own bed. ;u; This also means that my mom and I should only have to stay over one night at the very most, and hopefully not even that.
☾ I've gotten a lot of housework done so I'll be able to relax more whenever I do get home. Also packing as much as I can tonight to make things easier on myself tomorrow!
☾ My parents and I watched Grian's latest episode of Secret Life, which was absolutely hilarious oml

• One more day of work done. I've been there 3 months now. It honestly sucks bad and is poorly managed. But I'm doing my best to stick it out 6 full months then put in a 2 week notice so I can have a good amount of experience to start looking for better jobs that fit me better like in a bookstore or library. Right now I'm working at a retail clothing store that also sells home goods, toys etc. It's hectic, understaffed, poorly managed, and beyond stressful and it's really wearing on my mental health. But every day I go in gets me closer to 6 months when I can put my 2 week notice in. So that's what I'm happy about, getting closer to leaving
• I finally caught up on sleep the past few days
• My new coat was delivered today
• I have tomorrow off work so I get to go to my volunteer job with the rescue cats So much more rewarding than retail, all the kitties are so sweet and friendly and I love all of them. I'm always so happy to see them get adopted. I clean their cages, their litter boxes, feed them give them water and let them out to play
• Gonna watch a couple episodes of Naruto tonight with my boyfriend

LOOK AT MY SON!!!!!!!!!!!! i see him almost every day in this commercial that walmart has right now, and i found him tonight when my mom and i went to walmart!! there’s also a pink one, but the blue one has stolen my heart. i adore axolotls so, so much, and this little baby is so precious!! i love him to pieces.

my mom and i also found some pretty christmas lights at walmart! my mom got a snowflake one to display in the living room, and i got a snowman one! i haven’t figured out where i’m going to hang him yet, but i’m very excited to tomorrow! he’s kinda goofy looking, but i love my snowman fr. my mom hung up the snowflake tonight (send prayers that bonk doesn’t try to chew on the wire), and it’s so bright and beautiful!

So uh, I guess I have some catching up to do oops. Things were busy for me and some stuff were bringing me down, but there were still some things that made me happy.

November 18, 2023 to November 24 2023

• It's a silly one, but I saw a Mazda Miata (ND) while I went to go pick up pizza for lunch. The thing is, it's not the first time I've seen this particular Miata. It's in olive green colour and I always nickname it the "Buck Miata" as it heavily reminds me of that villager lol. In fact, @/xSuperMario64x was very lucky to witness this in person when he visited me back in late September to early October! I have a feeling the owner of that Miata got custom paint work done as I don't think it's a colour option you can choose from Mazda themselves.
• My mother baked apple pie! Even though the crust ended up being a bit burnt, it was still edible and very delicious!... It didn't last more than a day before it was completely gone
• @/Roxxy recently added me on discord and we've been having a pleasant chat with each other. I'm very thankful to have a sweet friend like her even though she's still finding her way navigating around discord. Bless Roxxy's heart.
• @/Aquilla dropped a quick message to say hi which was a pleasant surprise!
• I watched the 2023 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and I was surprised that there were decent amount of battles, especially the fight for second place.
• I played Gran Turismo 7 and cleared another set of licence tests! A couple were giving me a bit of trouble, but I managed to gold them.

Sadly (for me at least lol), only two cars in this licence area are the ones I've spotted in real life are in IB-2 and IB-5 which are the 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C4), and the 2017 Lexus LC500 respectively. Though, it's interesting that a 2002 Honda NSX Type R in IB-4 is used here as it's one of the few cars I recognized in the Gran Turismo movie I watched a while back!

• I signed up for the secret Santa that @/Balverine organized and got my match. This is going to be an interesting one, and I hope that I find enough motivation and time to make the drawing even with the deadline being a few weeks away.
• Feel free to skip this point. While I've already spotted this obscure car a few times, it gave me some happiness to see the Nissan PAO again.
• This point is a highlight for me and a bit lengthy too. At work, I had to move a car to a different spot... The catch is that it has a standard transmission (like, actually a gear stick to shift into different gears manually) which I admittedly have little to no experience driving one aside from startup despite being a huge car enthusiast. Feel free to roast me to the oblivion. I tried anyways simply reversing into a spot with one of my coworkers watching me. If I stalled the engine a few times, I need to have them drive it instead. Here's the thing: I managed to move the car AND didn't stall the engine at all! I know this is a small thing for some especially for those who live in Europe and drive a car with standard transmission, but I'm very happy about this. Applying gas to have the engine go at a certain RPM while slowly lifting off the clutch pedal in order to have the car move is what I had to do. And when I felt some vibrations which indicates that the engine is about to stall, I stepped down on the clutch pedal again to avoid it from happening, eliminating those said vibrations in the process. But yeah, I successfully parked a car with a standard transmission (and only in reverse for good measure lol)! I'd like to thank the eight-generation Honda Civic for giving me an opportunity to try!

• My mother baked apple pie again and it tastes great just like last time! She tried a different pie crust recipe but it didn't really impact the taste that much. Here's a picture of it too!

• I cooked popcorn chicken for dinner. It's been a while since I last made it!
• I watched the 2023 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which is the season finale for the sport. Honestly, not a lot happened. Though, I'm glad Mercedes didn't win a single race this year even though they secured second place in the constructor's championship.
• I played Gran Turismo 7 and made a funny custom race where all of my opponents drove extremely nerfed Fiat 500s that were already slow to begin with. They only managed to move a few metres before they all got stuck and caused an absolute roadblock.

November 27, 2023

• I had the day off from work so I was able to enjoy it.
• The sun was lighting up the dining room for a bit while I was eating breakfast. It put me in a good mood!
• I went to the mall with my sister to look around because I wanted to and not because I needed to. Just to vent a bit, I've been dealing with a situation where I have to constantly go somewhere during times I should be relaxing, especially after putting up with tiring work days. Anyways, my sister and I looked in a few stores, and bought a Zelda amiibo from Tears of the Kingdom in the process! I'm very curious to know if I can scan it when playing Smash Bros. Ultimate and duke out against her lol.
• I had a really nice hot shower in the evening.

I'm happy right now because the day is over. I can hopefully spend an hour or so detoxing from a very stressful day before I go to bed. Fingers crossed that tomorrow will be better.

Happy today because I get another day off from work because I'm still sick, lol. I mean I guess I shouldn't be happy that I'm sick, but this gives me more time to play my favorite video games!

Couple day catch up again!

• On Saturday it was one of my close friend's birthday! A couple things went a bit funky that day, but it was still nice to see them We went out for diner and minigolf.
• Last week was pretty much 40 C (104 F) every say, and this week has been much cooler so far, which has been nice~
• Yesterday I helped my dad prepare cotoletta and some salads for a big dinner thing. Despite it being busy I really enjoyed cooking with him, and he called me later to thank me for helping which was really sweet of him.
• Today I was able to chill and play some totk, just exploring. I was also able to do some cleaning which was good.
• Worked on my secret santa piece! Hoping it turns out okay I really want to make it good for my person!
• My partner got the character they've been really wanting for ages on genshin, which made them really happy
• Grateful again that I'm finally on holidays!! After this past semester I really need it, and its so nice to just relax without feeling guilty for not studying.

☾ I had a very nice conversation with my favorite person on Sunday. We talked personal things and told her more about my plans for the future, which made me feel more confident about it. I'm also happy she's moving on with her life and getting away from her current job to do something she's happier with.
☾ Being referred to as they/them in person as opposed to just online has made it more clear that this is what I want. Seeing my name written on the wall at work no longer makes me feel dysphoric, because it's my chosen name. Living a double life sucked, so I'm glad I'm out mostly everywhere now.
☾ I saw two of the most adorable therapy dogs in an Uber last night. I only have a picture with the first dog because the second one was shy. This one was such a licker and loved being petted. It’s not the best picture since it was dark and was using flash… but here’s the cutest service puppy.

- Attended all my classes today! Was tempted to go home early to get some food but I'm happy I stayed and went to all 4 of them haha, I even answered some questions in class
- It didn't rain at all and isn't forecast to for the next few days. What's more, it's a clear weather forecast for the time of my flight in Thursday!! (previously it was saying it was gonna snow fml)
- I managed to catch the earlier train home!!
- Had a cheeseburger and chips for dinner, then finished off with some oats topped with The Works (peanut butter, banana, dark chocolate, protein yoghurt, muesli, frozen berries,,,)
- Also had some tea and biscuits while watching anime
- Apparently my grandma really enjoyed the brownies I made for her <3
- Basically one more day until we fly out to Germany

- Attended an appointment for my cataracts. I'm happy with the detailed info I received, and look forward to chatting about it with my retina specialist in January

- Went on a nice long walk (little bit on the chilly side with the wind though)

- Saw a beautiful tree with yellow leaves glowing in the morning sun. I should have taken a picture, so I plan to take that route again this week to try and capture it

- Enjoyed my English Breakfast tea

- Did a video call with my mom and dad

• Christmas cards posted this morning, only got my neighbours ones to post through their doors on Friday. Usually someone always comments in one of the cards we receive that ours was their first!
• When I was in the supermarket today, I got really excited to see a huge stand of Sir Elton John themed Marmite in support of the Elton John Aids Foundation. Some of you may know he is my favourite musician, no-one else comes close! I got the first collectible jar a while back, it remains unopened, and never will be opened! However, this one is celebrating 50 years of his album ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’. I even took some pictures of the stand as the last jars disappeared quickly.
• Bought Blossom a tennis ball with a reindeer face, a squeaky reindeer cube and a Wobble Wag Giggle Ball. It’s been really funny watching her put her paw on it and roll it around the floor. She is amazed at the giggling noise it makes!
• I’ve had a bit of a croaky voice recently, but not got a sore throat or any other symptoms so bought some honey to see if that helps. If it doesn’t help my voice, at least I can enjoy the honey!

my day got off to a pretty stressful start, but things have thankfully calmed down now, and i will hopefully have a peaceful night and a better day tomorrow!

☪︎ i changed my aesthetic again! this isn’t the aesthetic that i had planned for christmas, and i was planning on waiting until december 1st to change my aesthetic again (for real this time LOL), but i came up with my current lineup earlier and couldn’t resist using it. i honestly love my new aesthetic so much, the blues, purples, pinks and white soothes my soul and my eyes fr!

ִ ࣪𖤐 i hung up the snowman christmas light that i got at walmart yesterday! i hung it up in my room, and decided to hang it up near my window. that way, i’m still able to see it from my bed and where i sit, but it won’t be shining at me at night when i’m trying to sleep! it’s such a pretty decoration, i love the design and the colours so much! it also reminds me of decorations that my mom used to have when i was a kid, so it’s very nostalgic and comforting for me as well. the snowflake light, too!

𐦍 i’m still so in love with the axolotl plush that i got from walmart yesterday as well. i honestly haven’t fixated this much on a plushie in a while, but he’s so adorable and precious! i even cuddled with him when i went to bed last night, LOL.

I'M HOME. it's been a 16-17 hour day already and I'm absolutely exhausted but it thankfully went relatively smoothly!! so grateful to the incredibly speedy workers who replaced my grandparents' roof, because their efficiency is the entire reason I get to sleep in my own bed again tonight also my grandparents' cat finally graced me with a brief hand nuzzle!!
I'm gonna go unpack and shower and maybe spend some time with the kitties before I crash for the evening ;w;

It's just a short post for today which doesn't happen very often from me!

• I got through another day of work. I'm relieved.
• I ate some apple pie leftovers that my mother made the other day. The rest will very likely be finished tomorrow.
• I chatted with @/Midoriya on discord! We both had a good conversation.
• I did a bit of doodling in my sketch book.
• After a long time, I played GT Sport again after listening to a few menu soundtracks from that game. It's got a certain relaxing vibe that makes me want to start it up for that reason alone, but I did get to drive around for a bit. I got some nostalgia too and with the temperatures getting colder, it's amplified further.

I’m happy I had yesterday and today off. It’s been colder then normal so that’s been really nice. Aurora wanted to go to the park this morning. We had a nice walk and got to see some birds.

Got some more Christmas shopping done. Bought Aurora another toy. Ordered advent calendars for my mom , me and Aurora. I have some ideas for my mom’s Birthday gifts. Just have to order them. Was able to get some yard work done. Had a nice relaxing afternoon playing Pokémon Arceus and snuggles with Aurora.

Today I'm happy because:

- My husband sent me a cute text when I was feeling stressed and it made me smile.
- I didn't work much overtime. I logged off only 15 minutes late this evening.
- I have a warm house and blankets. I also took a hot shower this evening.

- Managed to get quite a bit of sleep last night, and its super sunny and nice this morning (very cold though,,) I got my doctor's appointment out of the way and managed to make some brunch and a cup of chai masala tea too

- I packed last night and am basically sorted now! I also checked in and downloaded my boarding pass
