☾ I played Rune Factory 5 for a little while and cleared the Kelve Lava Caves on my newest save!!

☾ My hair bleach arrived today!! Just waiting on a few supplies to come in and I’ll be ready to dye my hair! ;v;

☾ Watched a little Youtube with my family and got to see GeminiTay’s second Hermitcraft Season 10 episode!

-sighs- yesterday morning was awful my poor taxi driver had a car crash luckily he could still take me to work. Here’s what happened a lady ran a red light and went into the taxi a bit on one side luckily they’re were no injuries and I’m also fine. I did get upset that it actually happened

☆ Got to chill for an hour with my friend in the morning. Okay, she was hungover and just lying with her head in my lap while we watched TV but it was still nice to talk more casually. We usually hang out at crowded events where she is often very much "in character", so it was interesting to hang out in a different setting.

☆ My partner bought me a Highland cow ottoman!

☆ I had to skip an event because my contribution to TBT's Lunar New Year (launching February 9th) was running the risk of being late, but oh well I was productive and all is back on track! My partner let me know our friends were asking after me though.

Did some shopping today and bought some new running shoes! I’ve been suffering with shin splints so I got a gait analysis done & these shoes make it feel like I’m running on clouds. I’m excited to run tomorrow now

- Managed to get a lot of sleep last night!! Woke up just in time for my train

- Grabbed a Starbucks coffee on my way to class today

- Had a lovely day at university, and also found out I got a 72 on my final essay of last semester. I'm so so happy because this means I've achieved a 1st on every unit of my third year so far It bodes well for my final grade! This was the essay I felt least confident about because I rushed it so much (I was super busy with work in December lol...)

- Got some admin stuff done, found out my telephone consultation for travel vaccines got rebooked to next Monday evening? At least I found out lol, and luckily I'm not at work during that time

- Had a BBQ chicken pizza for dinner

my medication is giving me awful headaches, so i told my doc, and he took me seriously! changed my dosage, first day on new dose and no headache so far. he says overall the medication is a net positive because it's been doing great helping with my weight management, so he'd rather adjust it than to just take me off and put me on something else, which i agree. here's hoping to more benefits

weight talk here re: above. just putting it in a spoiler in case people dont wanna read. i'm already down SEVEN POUNDS. part of that is because i HAVE to cut out caffeine on this medication so i'm not having any sugary beverages like coffee or pop, but the medication stops me from boredom eating. so i was SUPER pleased to see i'm already losing weight. doesn't "feel" like it yet, but soon enough, surely! im excited!!

Today I'm happy because:

- Donut is back to her usual self, thankfully. She was sick for a while yesterday after getting into something on her walk

- The weather is so warm and bright

- Went for a walk and we're planning to go sit in the grass at a local park soon

- Had a cinnamon roll

- Chatted with my mom

- Completed my event thread on schedule

- Our first Lunar New Year event launched! I love the theme, and everyone did an amazing job getting everything prepared

- Had two job interviews. I think both went well. I expect to hear about the next step in the process next week

☾ The Lunar New Year event started today!! ;v; I wasn’t feeling well today, so it made for a really nice distraction from that. Plus in order to post my lantern I also had to finally redo my namecard for my new username, and I’m super happy with how both turned out!!

☾ My Jack Jeanne Shuffle mini-album arrived!! I was actually able to get one of the limited-edition copies even though it’s been out for a while, and it came with this super classy Quartz-themed wallet, which I'm 100% going to be using from now on?? The alternate versions of the songs were all really great too! The secondary characters don’t really get a chance to sing in-game, but they all absolutely killed it on this album omg

☾ I also heard some news about the second Jack Jeanne Shuffle album that has me even more excited for it!! I absolutely cannot wait to hear the version of “Hallelujah ~ Shout the Name of God My Friend” with Kokuto as Mary, Fumi as Charles, and Kai as Figaro!!!

☾ Grian’s latest Hermitcraft episode dedicated basically entirely to fishing was honestly so much fun to watch! I’m noticing the Hermits seem to be taking a more laid-back approach this season and hanging out with each other more, and I really love to see it.

I missed a few days posting as I was on a time crunch to finish my event thread, so here's what I've been happy about since my last post.

- I went into the office on Wednesday and Thursday. We had a Super Bowl themed party on Wednesday. I got to eat some good food, wear my football jersey, and see some coworkers that I haven't talked to in a while.
- My husband vacuumed the house and did a pretty thorough job of it. It was a nice surprise to come home to after work.
- I've seen lots of dogs and cats around the neighborhood. I also saw the geese/ducks again twice, including tonight. I looked them up and found out they are muscovy ducks. I love how cute they look when they wag their tails.
- I got my Lunar New Year event stuff completed in time!
- I'm really thrilled to see how everyone seems to be enjoying the new reactions and the event!

- I went for a walk and it was nice and sunny outside.
- My sister gave Luna a pineapple bed to sleep on and she loves it.

- Took some medication and it's helping me recover from bronchitis.
- Looking forward to the Lunar New Year Events. I already have a few ideas for the festivities, so I can't wait to participate in some of the events.
- Received my associate degree from college via email and I made it on the Academic Honors List since I got a 3.3 GPA. Now, I can't wait to transfer to university this year, woohoo!
- Ate some pizza for dinner that tasted yummy.

It’s been a very busy few weeks for me, so I feel as if I haven’t posted here for ages! This is a roundup of the past two weeks.

• Got three new watch batteries and replaced them. One of my leather straps broke, so I got a new black leather one. I like the ‘normal’ type of strap but I wanted something different for that watch so I got a strap with a deployment clasp. I love those types of straps.
• Blossom was at the vet last week for her annual check up and vaccination. She got a clean bill of health. I asked the vet again about her not barking. She checked Blossom and couldn’t see anything wrong. The vet said to me that she seems to be a happy dog and that if nothing is troubling her then she doesn’t need to go back until February 2025! The receptionist staff came out from their desks and were petting her and she even got a treat from one of them. However, she wouldn’t take it from the receptionist but when I offered it to her she accepted it immediately!
• Bought some downloads from Amazon. One of my favourites has to be ‘Dreamland’ by Bruce Hornsby and Elton John.
• Had some lovely chats with @xSuperMario64x and @-Blue- . It’s always lovely to hear from you!
• Pre-ordered ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life on Tour’ by my favourite musician Sir Elton! It’s a while to wait as it’s not due to be released until September 24. I’m sure it will be well worth the wait.
• I bought Blossom a tub of bones, a packet of Bacon Rashers and a Meerkat dog toy from Amazon. It was so cute when she picked up the meerkat and was walking around the house with it in her mouth! She was needing a new harness, as she has grown a lot! My Dad bought a new one for her. He is so generous to Blossom and me. I don’t deserve him! He also bought her a three pack of doggy treat cakes to give to her on Valentine’s Day. If I know him, he won’t be able to resist, and will give them to her when they arrive today!
• My Dad bought me a present too, I saw on Amazon a Basset Hound ornament and I was going to have bought it myself, but he said he wanted to. It is so beautiful.
• I didn’t really need another tablet, but I had been looking at the Amazon Fire tablets before Christmas and decided against it. However, when I saw they were reduced to £42.99, I couldn’t resist and bought one. It arrived last night and I’m really pleased with it. I plan to take that one out with me as it’s smaller than my other ones.
• Finally, I’m looking forward to the year ahead on TBT. I knew it was going to be a extra special year as TBT is 20 years old, but I never expected as many events as that! The Lunar New Year one was a lovely surprise too, so I will need to try and make some time to enter some events!

☾ I discovered Starbucks has this new Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino. My go-to is actually the Pink Drink with chocolate foam, so I just had to try this new drink. It tasted like a chocolate-strawberry milkshake. It's seasonal for Valentine's Day, so I'll be sure to take advantage while it's available.
☾ I normally don’t eat before work, but today I had a breakfast chorizo along with the aforementioned Starbucks drink. It’s always nice not going to work on an empty stomach. Not to mention, it was a delicious meal. I prefer filling foods like a chorizo. I just think pancakes are too fluffy to fulfill an appetite.
☾ I saw my favorite person before work today. It was nice to talk with her again. I hadn’t talked with her in person since my birthday.
☾ A fanfic I was reading recently updated and it’s great. I’m not into reading but I’m always down for a fanfic of my favorite characters.
☾ I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for a bit before sleeping last night. I didn’t think I played well at all but it was fun either way.

February 9th 2024

• I went to my mum's house to help her with something and as a thank you she took me out to an Italian restaurant for lunch. I had the most amazing lasagne.
• Went to the barber and got a very much overdue haircut. Although now I'm back to people constantly touching the shaved parts of head.
• We launched our first TBT's Lunar New Year event! I proposed the idea to the rest of the team last February/March and I've been waiting (im)patiently since then to work on it. I'm so glad to see it is receiving such a positive response. Happy Lunar New Year to all who observe the holiday!
• I had a friend over in the evening to watch Hot Fuzz. Not sure how it took me so long to get around to this movie but it was a great laugh!

Finally was able to catch up with this thread, it's so nice to hear everyone's happies the past week I hope you're all having a lovely day

- Today I had a pretty chill day with my mum and sibling, ate some chips, played Codenames, cooked dinner, and kind of went in the pool (with the heat + pool cover on for the past couple days, it was very warm in the water). Lovely to spend time with them

- Called my partner and played some genshin together before bed

- The new event looks like a lot of fun!! Hoping I can get my brain in order to put in the effort I want to. I appreciate the staff so much for the insane amount of effort that is put into events, especially considering how many are planned for this year!

As a followup to my post about getting the new cat, here she is, I named her Mocha, she's terrified I'm sure due to all the changes with her owner passing away a few weeks ago and being alone in the apartment there but she's here now, I know it will take a few months for her to adjust and I'm very patient. I love her already and she is so adorable, so I'm happy she's here
