What Are You Happy About Today?

I really did disappear for a few days. Nothing serious happened. I just needed a little time to myself. I have a few things on my mind that I can't find myself talking about in detail with anyone yet. This coming week I know without a doubt will be tough. Here are a few things that made me happy within the past few days I've been MIA.
☾ I saw recently that Mountain Dew is releasing two new summer flavors. I'm really interested in the Baja Point Break flavor as it looks delicious. Any red fruit punch flavor of Mountain Dew reminds me of Sangarita Blast, and I hope I'm not mistaken. That was my favorite flavor of all time before it was discontinued at Taco Bell.
☾ The past two days there was a lot of catching up to do at my two closes at work. I'm not sure what happened on the shift before me, but it definitely was not much. Sunday was the worst in terms of things being backed up. The manager let me start an hour early as she said "things are a little backed up." That was... understatement of the year.
☾ I do have today off to do whatever I want. I can browse the forum and see what I missed, if anything. I can also play Mario Kart if I wanted. I'm just looking to enjoy myself.
☾ I had a nice breakfast. I had ramen noodles. They weren't really breakfast, but it's food. I'm happy that I ate something.

My boyfriend’s valentines gifts for me arrived today. They were delayed in transit. There’s still one more thing coming it should be here Friday. He got me the entire 11 volume manga series Your Lie in April which is also an anime that we watched together (we’re both musicians so it’s fitting) so excited to read them! Also he got me the Witcher Official Cookbook which is a hardcover cookbook of recipes inspired by the Witcher game and show series which is one of my favorite games and shows! anyway yay!!! Super excited about this! I’m definitely gonna try cooking all these recipes. It’s gonna be a challenge because I’m not super experienced with cooking but it will be a good challenge and will give me more experience cooking more things which I’ve wanted to learn more about cooking !

I’m very tired, but I’ve had a pretty nice day! I hope you’re all having a great week so far! Sorry for semi-spamming some of your notifications earlier, it’s been a couple days again since I’ve checked in here.

𓇢𓆸 I completed and submitted my Draconic Design and Flicker & Fortune entries, and they were both accepted! I did my Draconic Design art first, which was a little surprising since I had no idea what I wanted to do with it, and I wasn’t sure if I was even going to do it. The final result ended up being a bit of an experimentation project since I created it using a new art program and brushes, but I think it turned out decently! It’s not my best work, but I’m excited to play around with the new program and all of its brushes more in the future— especially the glitter brush! I’m lowkey proud of my Flicker & Fortune build, though! I’ll probably hate it when I look at it with fresh eyes later LOL, but right now I think the idea I came up with for it is cute, and I think the build itself turned out pretty good! My biggest struggle was trying to write a not-super-long description for it; ya’ll know I can’t stop rambling to save my life. But jokes aside, I’m really proud of myself for getting my entries done. With how I was feeling just last week, I didn’t think I’d be able to participate in the Lunar New Year event at all, let alone create entries for it that I can actually stand to look at. But I did it, and I’m proud of myself.

𓇢𓆸 My beautiful Miss Bonk has blessed me with a cuddle every day the past few days! We’ve been spending a lot of time together playing and just hanging out, and it’s been so nice. It’s not as nice when she decides she wants to cuddle for 5+ hours straight and I haven’t eaten, and am starving and trapped in a chair LOL, but I’d rather be hungry than disturb her. She’s so lucky she‘s cute.

𓇢𓆸 I’m still having a lot of fun with Cozy Grove! Tomorrow marks 3 weeks since I started playing, and I can’t believe it’s been that long already! The biggest thing that’s happened since my last post is that I met a new bear— Octavia Cubbins! She’s an independent wheelchair-bound former surfer, and the first bear so far to not let me hug them. She’s very fun though, and I really appreciate the diversity of the bears‘ personalities and designs! The animation of her rolling around in her chair is also admittedly very smooth. I can’t wait to find out more about her! The other things that’ve happened are I’ve expanded my inventory twice (8 more slots babeyyy!! Whoo!! My backpack is still constantly overflowing ), I caught 6 new fishes and 5 new critters, including my first mythical critter!!, I reached Alf and Spooks’ (my Sad Deer and my Blood Lagomorph) maximum happinesses and levelled them both up to an adult, upgraded my tent to level 8, and earned 15 new badges!! I’m also going to try to lure in a new cat tonight even though I’ve said I don’t want anymore animals; I love cats and I love animals, I just can’t help myself Hoping to get a cat that isn’t a Moon Cat this time!!

𓇢𓆸 My dad gave me my Birthday money early today! I can’t believe that I turn 22 in less than 2 weeks… that’s so insane to me. Like, wdym it‘s not 2017 anymore and I’m not 15???

𓇢𓆸 My parents picked me up everything I needed at the store today while they were out, even though I didn’t have the chance to ask them to do so! They managed to get me everything I needed without me saying anything, and I appreciate that and them so much! They also brought me home some yummy food, and I’m looking forward to eating the leftovers tomorrow!

𓇢𓆸 I’m looking forward to playing some more Cozy Grove later and having a hopefully calm, peaceful night!

Happy because I’m now back on tbt after being gone for awhile. The holidays were a little hectic, as my last grandparent has passed away. I’m okay though now, so happy to be back.

My mom visited me today and ate lunch with me and was nice the whole time. It was a nice visit. I guess it sounds kind of silly to most people. But it isn't silly in reality. It went well and I don't feel stressed out about it.
Also, my aquarium caves came in the mail. So excited to put them in the tank but it will have to wait a few days when I have time, and ability since I'm not that great this evening.
They are gonna look so cool in there and will be so much fun for my corycats when they move in.

Having a pretty rough evening tbh, but I'd still like to focus on the nice things before I head to bed!
☾ I played a little bit on my newest Rune Factory 5 file! I secured the Fishing Variety contest win in year one this time, so that’s a goal I won’t have to worry about in the progressively more difficult years!

☾ Watched some Youtube with my family this evening! We saw some assorted short videos from channels we normally watch, LDShadowLady’s new hide and seek video (which was a ton of fun), and an extra amount of funny dog and cat videos.

☾ And last but certainly not least, our lovely Renn finished my second red envelope commission and did an amazing job!! ;w; Absolutely impeccable timing too because I really needed something to cheer me up this evening aaaaa

Yesterday
- So apparently, in the GC Animal Crossing, you can put in cheat codes at Nook’s to get certain furniture you want. I got some lovely furniture by doing this, including the lovely chair, the lovely armchair, the lovely stereo, and the lovely kitchen.
I’m also trying to get the lovely lamp, but I can only get it from a villager so still waiting on that. /// You can only put in three codes per day, but I have a little tip: you can use alt characters to bring the limit to six, nine, or 12.
also, the code for the lovely stereo? I think it is is freaking hilarious. It has the word “damn” in it, and I think that’s amusing for a Nintendo game, especially considering these are actual codes.

- Also in the GameCube version, Nook had a lovely table for sale

- In New Leaf, Apollo gave me a genuine painting for free. he was originally going to sell it to me, but he changed his mind. (I’m holding off on donating stuff for a while but I know because I looked it up.)

Today
- I finally got those Hershey heart chocolates. Remember how I said I ordered them online for Valentine’s Day? Well, it turns out they were at the post office this whole time (according to my dad), even though I didn’t put any PO information in the order. O___o
Usually when you order stuff on Amazon, they just bring it to your door but I guess since it is an edible, it was an exception…?
It is a bit of a bummer that I didn’t get them for Valentine’s Day like I had planned, but I am relieved that I did get finally them today. I was starting to get a bit worried that they either got stolen, or the order didn’t come through somehow. ^-^

- There was a sneak peek for Papa's Paleteria. They are in play-testing stages. ^_^

- I MAY have figured out a trick to the whole barge-in rigmarole, at least in New Leaf. I think this can be debunked for New Horizons. I feel like villagers can only barge in on you if you talked to them that day. Usually, Rooney would barge in, yes? Well, he didn't, it was...someone else *cough* Apollo *cough*, someone of whom I DID talk to before entering my house. Whereas I waited until after to talk to Rooney.

Pretty small, but some new teasers on a game (Splatoon 3) have come out, and I'm just waiting for them to release next month!
As for tomorrow though, Side Order! I'm excited to play the DLC when it comes out, and I miss the gear and animations from Splatoon 2

Well, it turns out they were at the post office this whole time

Hope the chocolates are good! I saw some Super Mario Bros. valentine's chocolate tin in the stores and thought it looked cool, since the tin has the characters embedded into them, not just slapped on there with paper. I ordered Kirby's Adventure for the Nintendo Famicom and the USPS has lost it in transit or something. I stood in line at the post office for a long time and then kept on hold on the telephone for 20 minutes and nothing has come of it so far. Luckily you discovered your package!

☾ We have a release date for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time! October is still a ways away, but I’m hoping that’ll be enough time to clear up my gaming backlog some more before I start thinking about buying another new game. (And I’ll probably wait for a while after release before getting it anyway. Probably.)

☾ The ~Febooary~ mood struck me today, so I did a quick run of Endless Mode in Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion! It didn’t go super well ahaha, but I’ve finally encountered all the specimens exclusive to Endless Mode now!

☾ Also went back to my Minecraft Bedrock achievement-hunting world! A lot of my time was spent mining as I work towards the achievement of making a fully-powered beacon, but when I got tired of that I also snagged a few easier achievements! (Although the achievement for fueling a furnace with a lava bucket was bizarrely finicky. It would not pop for me no matter what I did until I placed a new furnace, put the lava bucket in first, threw in a few things to smelt, and THEN grabbed the very first smelted item out. Whew.) But the beacon is almost fully complete now too! Just a few more blocks and that'll be one more major achievement down.
Oh and I stumbled across a pretty massive sculk biome while mining. I didn't see an ancient city right away, but it was expansive enough that I'll definitely be coming back to explore it more later.

☾ I finished some rainbow pencil doodles for Kilza and jadetine in my red envelope pop-up shop!

☾ My family and I watched Grian’s latest episode of Hermitcraft and ohh my god it was absolutely killing me. Definitely one of the weirdest and most creative Minecraft builds I’ve seen. I’m really loving Grian’s fisherman arc LOL

Every day I come online only to have the greatest pleasure of seeing my current lineup on glorious display: my very own little Zen pink love garden

I can admire it all day, every day to my heart's content and in a dreamy way, step inside to surround myself in pure pink bliss I'm really tempted to keep it active ALL year long but my other wonderful lineups deserve time in the sunshine, too. They would be sad otherwise!

Also I'm happy that next week I'm going to make my favorite beef stew dish. It'll be dangerous amounts of uninhibited dopamine with each spoonful and I cannot wait

I went to the dentist this morning and the dental assistant asked me if I've taken any trips lately to see my girlfriend after I briefly mentioned it when I had my last appointment with her a year ago I just thought it was so sweet that she remembered something like that. Also no cavities woohoo!!

I started my dragon design today, and so far it is looking fab~! Watercolours are new to me sometimes, in a sense. I mean there's so many ways to paint with them. So its more experiement, and have fun while doing so.
Hopefully I'll be done in time. I ust don't like taking pics with unnatural light, it really ruins it.

Finished the book review, and added it to the cv, cover letter and senr it off today. I really hope I get a chance. It looks like a lot of fun at this job.

☾ A trailer for the newest episode of Disventure Camp released today. I've been hooked on this while I wait for the third season of the Total Drama Reboot to be confirmed.
☾ My current general manager may unfortunately be on her way out soon as it's been six years and transfers are happening. We had managers coming in and out for training purposes, and the one I was not a fan of recently discovered which store she will be sent to... and it is not my store. I'm ecstatic. She was just exuding bad vibes.
☾ I'm more confident now in my non-binary gender identity after a few realizations. I posted about this in the support thread if anyone is curious about the specifics.
☾ I'm happy that I got paid today, slept in, went grocery shopping, and enjoyed my day off playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Thank you so much, Xara! I appreciate your reassurance. The thing that was worrying me most ended up not being that bad, so I'm a little bit more at ease for the time being. I'm still looking forward to this week being over and done with, but at least I will be less stressed as this week passes by.

- I got to sleep in, which was much needed.

- Got a lot of work done and finished something I was working on.

- I cuddled with my kitty some today.

- I've been doing personal training for over a month now in addition to martial arts, and my trainer said that I've been making massive strength gains! I can feel it too, I'm feeling a lot more fit now.

- The Dallas Mavericks just defeated the Phoenix Suns 123-113 and have now won 7 GAMES in a row!!! Now they're in the 6th seed in the NBA Western Conference! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!

☾ I’ve been using a trackpad for probably a good ten years or so now lol, so I’m finally upgrading and getting myself a decent mouse and mousepad!! The mousepad has really cute art of a black cat on a garden wall and I really love it ;w;

☾ Also inched closer to one of my New Year’s resolutions, which is trying out Youtubing! I installed some free software for recording and video editing, so once my new mouse and everything gets here I can start doing some tests!

☾ I finished building my beacon in my achievement-hunting Minecraft world!! Also started building a wall around the nearby village, since there’s a few raid-related achievements I think I’ll be going after next.

☾ Aaaaand now that I’ll soon be able to play Minecraft Java Edition again (also want to wait until I get the mouse ahaha), I made myself a new skin from scratch using Blockbench!! Especially since I’m not used to working on such a tiny/low-res scale, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out ehehe ;v;
